They make it easy and fun to find the right outfit online and have it delivered to your home or pick it up in person at a brick-and-mortar location near you. The store offers a 30-day return policy as long as your costume is new and unworn, though returns made in the week leading up to Halloween will get you a store credit instead of a refund. Don't let first impressions scare you: Costume Kingdom is indeed open for business, no matter what year their website initially tells you it is. Needed updates aside, this online store has a great selection of Halloween costumes, a good reputation (and no complaints filed at the BBB), and easy-to-reach customer support. Give Costume Kingdom a try when looking for your next Halloween costume.

You've probably seen Spirit Halloween every August through November in a mall near you, but their online store is available all the time for your costume needs. Spirit has thousands of choices for people of all ages, and they changed their return policy to let you try your Halloween costume on for size. Unfortunately, they also cut the refund period by a week, and customer feedback overall isn't great for this retailer.

Buy Costumes is a winner when it comes to Halloween costume inventory. There are more than 10,000 costumes and accessories here for just about any theme you can imagine, from cute pet and baby styles to sexy or scary ensembles for men and women. This store's return policy isn't the most generous (just 15 days from the order date) and some shoppers have a hard time getting help from customer service. But, there are lots of people who swear by Buy Costumes and the BBB gives the retailer an "A+" , so it could be an option for you as well.

The Halloween Spot

The Halloween Spot hasn't been around as long as some costume retailers, so their selection and online shopping experience isn't going to blow you away. There's a decent range of outfits for adults, kids, and pets - but no easy way to filter them, leaving you to browse at random. Prices are reasonable, and shipping within 2-3 business days could get your Halloween costume delivered faster than other shops. Initial customer feedback for The Halloween Spot is positive, and we hope to see this retailer continue to grow in the future.

Costume Supercenter used to own a high ranking among Halloween costume shops online. Unfortunately, looking at recent customer feedback detailing hassles with returns, missing deliveries, and a worse-than-average return policy (just 15 days and a 12% restocking fee), we've had to drop this store significantly in our rankings. You could find a good costume here, but more than 25% of Costume Supercenter's customers would advise against clicking the "buy now" button.

Find Costume

At first glance, Find Costume is an awesome place to shop for Halloween costumes. They've got a website that's easy to shop, with plenty of fun options for all ages and especially novel ideas for couples and groups. You'll be impressed by the low prices and free shipping on many items. Sadly, that's where the good impression ends: for years, customers have complained about receiving costumes that aren't anything like what was shown online - and then having to pay a 20% restocking fee just to return them. Look at other Halloween costume stores before buying one here.

Trendy Halloween

Trendy Halloween used to be a terrific place to find costumes that were, naturally, on trend. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be anyone behind the wheel here anymore: social media channels have gone quiet, and the only way to contact the company is through their online form. Plus, most of the Halloween costumes we tried to buy gave us an "out of stock" error - but only after we took the time to add them to our cart. The BBB may still give Trendy Halloween their top grade, but we've taken them almost to the bottom of our list.

Frank Bee Costume Center

Frank Bee Costume Center feels like a store where you'd buy gag gifts and not today's hottest Halloween costumes. Their "new" products section proudly displays a 2014 date, and even in 2017 they were telling shoppers that they weren't able to update their website - so what you order may not even be available. To make it worse, Frank Bee has a zero returns policy even if you don't open the package. Choose any higher-ranked retailer for your Halloween costume.
