In business since 2015, Mikey V's is the passion project of Michael Valencia, a self-taught chef who's enthusiastic about creating hot sauces, salsas, and other food. One aspect of this club that we found, well, annoying? You have to create an account and confirm your email before you can get more details about the hot sauce club: you'll see that once you click on "get started”. Wondering what subscription terms are available? Want to know if you can set it up as a gift? You guessed it: it requires a confirmed account first. That feels like a sneaky way to get people's email addresses even if they don't go through with their purchase.

It doesn't get better from there: when you go ahead and create that account, it'll ask you to pay via PayPal…and it still doesn't tell you what you're getting, where you're sending the hot sauce club, and so on. And if you don't want to pay with PayPal? Looks like you're out of luck here.

The company is definitely still up and running: you can see lots of posts through their social media channels, despite the website having a copyright date of several years ago. Most of the customer reviews focus on the taco shop, though, and not necessarily on the hot sauce club or the sauces themselves.

But, frankly, it feels like once Mikey V's opened their taco joint in 2022, that's where their attention went - and not to their online storefront or their hot sauce club in particular.
