On the Super Jeweler website

When you first visit the Super Jeweler site, you might think it looks a little like a used car lot. Statements like "Easy Credit. Yes. You Qualify!" and the overall style of this jewelry store give that feel, but press onward. Super Jeweler has been in business since 1999 and actually has a pretty incredible selection of 35,000+ pieces of jewelry at impressive prices. You may have even seen some Super Jeweler items featured on TV shows like the Price is Right or The View, or in magazines such as Woman's World and Good Housekeeping.

All jewelry made in-house, including your own design

All of the jewelry you see at this store is made in-house by Super Jeweler's design staff. Because all production is done locally, this jeweler also gives you the option to create a one-of-a-kind piece from scratch. And, if diamonds are your best friend, you can rest assured that Super Jeweler only purchases those stones from ethical, conflict-free suppliers.

Watch for the pop-up discount

As you visit the Super Jeweler site, you'll probably get a pop-up offering you a discount of up to $175 if you provide your email address. The fine print says you'll save $20 on an order of $50 to $149, $50 off an order of $150 to $499, $100 off $500 to $999, and then that $175 discount is if your order is $1,000 or more. Just be aware that the discount can't be combined with other offers - like the ones you might find on some individual jewelry pieces as you browse.

Bargain to boujee

Now that you're convinced that this is a great place to shop for jewelry, let's take a look at some of what's in stock. You'll be able to choose from all of your favorite types of accessories, from rings and earrings to necklaces and bracelets. Super Jeweler also has a link specifically for their men's inventory, and don't forget to check out the bright red Clearance tab too. We're big fans of earrings, so we always like to browse that section first. Super Jeweler had over 3,000 options, from simple gold ball studs for just $14.99 to 4 carat diamond martini stud earrings at the stunning price of $47,999.99 (but hey, they were marked down from nearly $80K!). Whatever jewelry you're shopping for, the filters can make it quicker to find what you like, sorting results by category, price, metal, and so on.

Lots of info, including shopper reviews

As you browse your matches, keep an eye out for customer reviews. Some items at Super Jeweler don't have any ratings to speak of, but others have a bunch. One of the most popular items we spotted in the earrings category was the 1/2 carat natural ruby stud earrings in sterling silver, priced at just $49.99. Across nearly 200 reviews, these earrings had almost a perfect 5-star average. And, whether you click through all of the reviews or just need to know the specifications, the product pages for all of the jewelry here are a wealth of information. We particularly appreciate the part that says exactly when the item will ship, and most pieces at Super Jeweler ship out within a few days.

Check out the benefits

There are some perks worth talking about at this jewelry store. First, all orders ship for free (even if you're sending a necklace to Nepal or a bracelet to Bali). Next (and maybe more importantly), all jewelry comes with a lifetime guarantee against any defects resulting in the setting or loss/damage of accent gemstones and diamonds. (With rings specifically, though, the replacement guarantee on center diamonds and gemstones is just a year; you've also got a one-year window for a one-time resizing if needed.) Finally, you've got a generous 60-day return timeframe here; most rival jewelers typically offer just 30 days. Just make sure the jewelry is in new and unused condition, and be aware that any items that have been personalized, engraved, or custom-made won't be eligible for returns or exchanges.

Gorgeous gift packaging on all jewelry

We almost forgot to mention that every item you buy from Super Jeweler comes with gift packaging. Purchases of $49.99 or less come in a gold lamé bag. Orders from $50 to $299.99 come in a sky blue box. If your order totals $300 to $499, your box is upgraded to the "luxury" category with a little LED light in the lid to highlight your jewelry's sparkle. And, if your purchase is over $499, you get the biggest upgrade of all: your item's smaller box will be packaged inside a larger box that comes with a jewelry polishing cloth and cleaner (if applicable), and a leathery wallet to hold the warranty and appraisal cards.

Plenty of loyal repeat customers

Super Jeweler earns a "B+" rating from the Better Business Bureau, solely due to the 75+ complaints filed against the jewelry store over the three-year period leading up to this evaluation. Fortunately, all of those complaints received a prompt response from Super Jeweler reps; they typically centered around issues with shipping delays or having issues reaching customer service. On the other hand, it was surprisingly easy to find raves regarding verified purchases (not reviews that people could leave without actually buying from Super Jeweler). We especially liked to see comments from repeat shoppers who say that the quality of the jewelry they've bought here over the years is top notch, the packaging is gorgeous, and that delivery is right on time (despite complaints elsewhere). We found more than 1,000 5-star ratings for Super Jeweler.

Has become a jewelry store we're happy to recommend

Super Jeweler has made some improvements since our last evaluation. Their rating with the BBB has gone up, along with their overall customer satisfaction scores, and they've maintained (or expanded) all of their customer-friendly policies and perks. While we're still not the biggest fans of the somewhat unprofessional-looking website, that's easy enough to overlook when we consider the selection and pricing on offer here. It's a pleasure to move Super Jeweler's rating up in our reviews.

Where's the Best Place to Shop for Jewelry Online?

Jewelry has captivated humans for centuries, not just as shiny adornments but as meaningful symbols of love, status, and personal style. From ancient Egyptian pharaohs who wore gold and gemstones to symbolize their divine status, to the protective amulets of medieval Europe, jewelry has always been much more than mere decoration.

Today, people buy jewelry for various reasons: to celebrate milestones, express personal style, or even as investments. Whether it's a sparkling engagement ring or a simple bracelet that matches your favorite outfit, jewelry holds a special place in our lives.

One big change in the world of jewelry is the ability to shop online. Have you ever gone to a brick-and-mortar jewelry store and felt pressured by a hovering salesperson? We have! It's not an enjoyable experience, but fortunately it's one that's easily avoided now. You can get access to the widest range of bracelets, earrings, watches, rings, necklaces, and any other kind of jewelry imaginable through online stores. Even the big-name jewelers' best selection is typically online.

Does the idea of buying your jewelry over the internet make you a little nervous? That's understandable, but the good news is that there are plenty of customer-centric policies and processes offered by online jewelers that should set your mind at ease. Some stores let you do a real-time inspection via video call, so you can see what you're buying from every angle.

Others let you ship your jewelry to a local store or an in-person partner location so you can see it up close and personal before you decide to commit to the purchase. And, the best online jewelry stores have generous return and exchange policies, often with free return shipping (or in-store returns if they have retail locations near you).

When diving into the world of online jewelry shopping, it's important to navigate with a bit of savvy to ensure you're getting something truly special. Here are a few criteria that can help you out as you decide where to shop:

To help you find the perfect piece of jewelry that not only looks fantastic but also stands the test of time, the experts at Top Consumer Reviews have researched and ranked some of today's most popular online jewelry stores. Take this information and let it guide your shopping the next time you need an amazing gift (maybe even for yourself!).

Jewelry Store FAQ

What kind of jewelry can I buy online?
You can get any jewelry you'd normally buy at a brick-and-mortar store. From watches and bracelets to custom-designed engagement rings, there's no limit to the selection you'll find when shopping online for your next piece of jewelry.
Why would I shop online for jewelry?
Why not? You've got the convenience of shopping anytime and from anywhere, the world's best inventory, and prices that rival what you'd get locally. Because many online jewelry stores don't have a retail presence, they save money on overhead and pass those savings along to the customer.
What about shipping? Will I pay extra, and will my order arrive safely?
Some stores include free shipping - either on all orders or when you spend a minimum amount of money. Your package will likely be insured by the jeweler, so it should arrive just as safely as your other deliveries. (Just watch out for porch pirates!)
What if I need to return the jewelry?
You'll usually be covered by a return policy ranging from 30-60 days. Many jewelers include a prepaid return label with your jewelry. Or, if you're buying online from a jeweler that has a location near you, you may be able to return it in-person for added peace of mind.
Can I get high-end items? Or am I limited to costume pieces?
The sky is the limit. Whether you want an inexpensive pendant or a $20,000 diamond, you'll find it online.
Are there any guarantees or warranties on my jewelry purchases?
Sometimes. Only a few specifically state that they'll cover lost gemstones within the first year, for example. You might want to consider a separate insurance policy if you're buying a more expensive piece of jewelry.
My local jeweler offers a payment plan. Can I get that from an online retailer?
Yes, depending on the store you select. You'll usually see those options in a link at the bottom of the site, or on the individual product pages for each piece of jewelry you're considering (often near the price details).
Are there any online jewelry stores to avoid?
Unfortunately, not all online jewelers are created equal. Some do a flawless job of delivering everything they promise and more - but others have left hundreds (if not thousands) of unhappy customers in their wake. But, it's easy to spot the jewelry stores that deserve your business: just look for an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau and plenty of positive reviews from shoppers, and you'll know it's a trustworthy option for your jewelry purchase.

What You Should Look For When Buying a Diamond

A lot of people have this question. Buying a diamond is a commitment, so it's understandable that you'd want to educate yourself thoroughly before taking the plunge. Even so, this goes beyond picking the right jewelry store or knowing what kind of setting you'd like. What you should look for when buying a diamond directly relates to the four C's.

What Are the Four C's?

The four C's stands for carat, color, clarity, and cut. These are the main principles on which you should base your diamond purchasing decision. These attributes and their grading scales were developed by the Gemological Institute of America.

Other Factors
When determining what you should look for when buying a diamond, of course you need to pay attention to the four C's. Still, you also need to think about the shape of diamond you would want. They come in several styles with Round Brilliant being the most common. Other shapes include Princess, Emerald, and Oval.

Also consider where you're buying the diamond from. Not just any jewelry store will do. They are all unique and it's very easy to get ripped off if you don't know what you're looking for. A jewelry store should be GIA certified and it should have a good reputation with the BBB. Remember to look into these things because diamonds are expensive. Do your due diligence, just as you would with any other major purchase.
