Whether you're insured, uninsured, or underinsured, it's no secret that healthcare is expensive. Over the years, costs have seemed so high that many people have found themselves looking for other options besides visiting a doctor's office for lab testing. If you're dealing with health issues but want to seek out answers on your own before going through a physician's office, there are a growing number of options for you.
Without a doctor's orders, you can order lab testing on your own time and from the comfort of your home. Oftentimes you can skip the hassle of going to a laboratory and collect needed samples from home and send them in for analysis. This is one way to manage your own health and potentially save quite a bit of money and time!

HealthLabs has been providing lab testing online since 2015. They make testing inexpensive and convenient by working with thousands of trusted CLIA-certified lab locations throughout the United States. They have a high "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau and thousands of extremely positive reviews from customers. HealthLabs is undoubtedly one of the most well-liked resources for personal lab testing.
Long list of tests available
HealthLabs is a comprehensive company with 21 categories of tests available. Some of the categories include allergy testing, anemia testing, cardiac health and cholesterol, drug testing, heavy metals and toxins, hormone testing, infectious disease testing, STD tests, thyroid tests, and more. To quickly find a particular test you can look it up or input the test code in the search bar. Most standard health tests that someone might need can be found at HealthLabs.
Thorough explanation of tests
Any questions you have about a particular test will likely be answered in the product description on HealthLabs' website. For example, if you want a 6-panel drug test, you can read a clear explanation of what is tested, the windows of detection, how drug testing works, how to prepare for your test, what to expect, and how to interpret your results. HealthLabs' website is informative to help you make sure to purchase the right test.
Fast process, fast results
Once you've selected the test you want, you'll need to visit one of the 4,000+ testing centers that HealthLabs works with across the United States (unless you live in New York or New Jersey). You can do this as soon as you've purchased your test online. By providing your zip code you'll get a list of the places closest to you. Upon arrival, you'll present the lab with your printed purchase confirmation email and get your urine or blood test right away. The turnaround time of test results is fast through HealthLabs, taking only 1-3 days. They have trained care advisors that can walk you through any questions or concerns you have.
110% price match guarantee
The cost of testing at HealthLabs depends on the exact test you need. Their prices are very competitive and similar to what we've seen through other companies. However, if you happen to find a lower price elsewhere on the exact same test offered by HealthLabs, they'll not only match the price but give you a 10% discount on it as well. You can pay for tests with your HSA, FSA, PayPal account, or a prepaid gift card in addition to credit and debit cards.
Cancel within 21 days
If you change your mind about getting your test done after you've already purchased it through HealthLabs, you have 21 days to do so. You'll get a refund via your original payment method, minus a 20% cancellation fee.
Extremely high customer satisfaction
HealthLab blows a lot of their competition out of the water when it comes to customer satisfaction. They have nearly perfectly satisfied feedback across the board from thousands of customers around the internet. People say customer service is friendly, the communication is all done in a timely manner, results come extremely fast, the test instructions are simple, and the whole experience is reliable and informative. People are definitely happy when they use HealthLabs, so we have given them our highest recommendation.
Health Testing Centers began in 1980 out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They've served over 100,000 patients by giving them access to lab testing and providing helpful resources to better understand their health data. They refer customers to over 3,000 labs through major companies like LabCorp and Quest Diagnostics. Health Testing Centers has an "A+" Better Business Bureau rating and great customer reviews.
Includes all major tests
There are 24 categories of tests you can order through Health Testing Centers. With topics like general health and wellness, blood type, diabetes, disease detection, hormone testing, inflammation and autoimmune, liver testing, STD testing, and thyroid testing, it's likely that whatever concern you have can be identified through Health Testing Centers. If you're interested in a test that you don't see on their website, you can call Health Testing Centers and check if they're able to order it in for you.
FSA and HSA eligible
You can spend up to $1,999 on comprehensive panels through Health Testing Centers or spend as little as $39 depending on what you're testing for. Costs are competitive, so you don't have to worry about outrageous fees or prices if you want lab testing here. You'll have the choice between using LabCorp or Quest for any given test and interestingly Quest is often significantly cheaper. You can pay for your tests with a credit or debit card, PayPal, or an HSA or FSA card.
Easy as 1, 2, 3
Once you order your test online, you'll wait for an email with your lab requisition number and then you can visit a local lab to collect your sample. The "Lab Locator" tool will auto populate a list of nearby facilities you can visit based on your zip code. You don't have to make an appointment, but if you do it may eliminate some waiting time once you arrive. If you've selected an at-home test kit, it will arrive in the mail within 5-7 days and you'll follow the included directions. Once your results are ready from your test, you'll get an email that prompts you to log into your online account and view them. Health Testing Centers says that some result values may prompt a phone call from a provider to make sure a patient is fully aware of their results. Most results take 1-2 days.
Generous cancellation policy
As long as you haven't visited a lab for specimen collection and you're within 21 days of purchasing a LabCorp or Quest order, you can cancel for a full refund of the purchase price. This is generous considering most other companies charge a certain percentage as a cancellation fee regardless of when you cancel. At Health Testing Centers you can cancel after 21 days and then you'll owe a $10 processing fee. If you want a refund on your test kit, you can cancel it at any time before sending specimens to the lab, but you'll have to pay a $25 fee to cover the kit and shipping costs.
Not available in all states
The service is not available to people who live in New York, New Jersey, or Rhode Island.
In good hands
Nearly all customers who have left unfiltered reviews about working through Health Testing Centers have great things to say about the experience. Some people have used them for years for routine monitoring and find the process to be easy and accurate. Customer service seems to be friendly and easy to work with, and best of all, people appreciate having access to such a cost-effective method of getting lab results. We highly recommend turning to Health Testing Centers and trust that you'll be in good hands with them.
Walk-In Lab was founded in 2009. They offer both at-home test kits and tests you order online and visit a lab for. We noticed that they don't have as professional a website design as some competitors' do, which can cause people to be concerned about Walk-In Lab's legitimacy. However, it's still easy to find what you're looking for and we didn't find any broken links, so mostly the website could just use a makeover. We don't believe this reflects their services.
Solid selection of tests available
There are a lot of test categories available through Walk-In Labs. Their most popular tests are hemoglobin blood tests, a comprehensive metabolic panel, lipid panel blood tests, pregnancy tests, insulin fasting blood tests, and others. There are hundreds of choices here. For most tests, you'll be able to choose between LabCorp and Quest Diagnostics. LabCorp online testing is prohibited in Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island. Quest Diagnostics is prohibited in New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.
Side-by-side test comparisons
For any given test you click on, you'll be taken to a side-by-side comparison of the cost between using LabCorp or Quest Diagnostics, the test code, description of the test, methodology, preparation, and time it takes to get test results. You can also view a sample report from each company. For many tests, Walk-In Labs has provided a video explaining the test, why it's important, what you'll learn from it, and more.
Price matching
Walk-In Labs promises to give customers the best price possible on all tests. If you happen to find an identical test through another provider online for a better price, Walk-In Labs will match it. All you'll need to do is contact them online or call their customer service number to get the lowest price.
Buy online, visit a local lab
The process for ordering a test from Walk-In Labs is similar to most other companies. Once you've added your desired tests to your cart and checked out, you'll receive a confirmation email with instructions on what to do next. If you need to visit a local lab, you will take a copy of the lab order with you to have your specimen collected. Walk-In Labs will connect you with the closest lab to your home for convenience. Once your results are available (usually within 1-2 days), you can log into your account and review them. You can save or print your results to share with a physician if desired.
Some kits are done at home
If you're using one of Walk-In Labs' home test kits, you'll receive it in the mail and be able to collect specimens from the privacy of your home. Some of these may include blood, stool, or saliva for tests like food intolerances, hair toxic elements, toxic metals, a nutrient blood profile, a GI pathogen profile, and more.
Cancel within 7 days for a full refund
If you end up needing a refund for a test you ordered, it can only be given prior to collecting specimens for testing. For a full refund without a cancellation fee, you must request a cancellation within 7 days of purchase. If you request a refund anywhere from 8 to 180 days after purchase, you'll still get a refund, but will need to pay a $10 cancellation fee. All at-home test kits are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
High approval ratings
Despite not having the most appealing website, Walk-In Labs has won the approval of thousands of customers. Their ratings are sky high with people saying they are shocked by how fast they received their results, customer service is fantastic to work with, pricing is competitive and fair, and results are accurate and extremely helpful to people wanting answers about their health. We noticed that Walk-In Lab responds to every single customer review (good or bad), which shows they care what their customers think and want to make sure to keep them happy.
True Health Labs was created for people who are uninsured, have high deductibles, are being restricted from getting lab tests done through their physician, or simply want more flexibility in their healthcare choices. They provide lab tests from dozens of CLIA-certified laboratories in both the USA and internationally.
Save big by buying online
For people getting started with services from True Health Labs, they recommend that you get a list of lab tests from your doctor that you need and then order them online. You could save anywhere from 20% - 80% by going through True Health Labs as opposed to having your doctor order the test.
Wide selection
There's a big selection of lab tests to select from ranging from A-Z. Some popular categories include cancer, cholesterol, drug, immune, infectious disease, thyroid, STD, and others. You can also access COVID-19 testing, home testing kits (adrenal fatigue, breast cancer risk assessment, comprehensive stool analysis, cortisol awakening response profile, and more). They also provide hormone testing specifically for people in New York and international countries. At the time of this review, most tests were 10% off, giving customers quite a bit of savings.
Request a test you don't see online
If you don't see the test you are looking for online, True Health Labs allows you to build your own panel and submit it. If they are able to get the test you need, they'll respond with the requested test.
Find a local draw location
After you add the desired test(s) to your online shopping cart, you'll be able to locate one of over 2,000 draw locations that is closest to you for specimen collection. Within 24 hours you'll receive an email with a requisition form that can be taken to the draw location. If you ordered a test kit, it will be mailed to your shipping address and includes the requisition form inside. Stool, saliva, and hair test kits can be done from home.
4-month cancellation policy
True Health Labs allows you to cancel your test before specimen collection (within 4 months of purchase) for a refund equal to the price of the total less a 10% cancellation fee. Kits from canceled/refunded orders cannot be returned to True Health Labs, so they should be recycled or discarded.
Safe choice
The Better Business Bureau gives True Health Labs an "A+" rating. They've been in business over 10 years and have good feedback from customers, though they aren't as widely recognized as some of the highest-rated companies. True Health Labs is a good option and has a solid selection of tests available. We would like to see some kind of price match guarantee in case the tests here are more expensive than what you'll find elsewhere. But otherwise this is a safe choice for lab testing and we recommend giving them a look.
Ulta Wellness' slogan is, "You order the test, we'll do the rest!" The company was founded in 2013 and provides convenient and confidential lab tests that can be ordered online 24/7. Their goal is to make testing as affordable as possible for customers by saving them up to 90%. The company has an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau and a long list of test categories to help people looking for answers as they navigate their health journey.
Comprehensive test choices
There are 35 categories of lab tests you can purchase through Ulta Wellness. They offer general health tests as well as tests for specific issues like blood disorders, neurological disorders, infectious disease tests, cancer screening, and more, resulting in over 1,000 tests in total. There are subcategories of each test that lead to a long list of choices ranging anywhere from $6 to nearly $2,000 depending on how comprehensive the screening is. They periodically offer sitewide discounts and email promos to make tests even cheaper, but unfortunately Ulta Wellness doesn't have a price match guarantee.
Adequate test details
For each test you're interested in, you can read a description of what the test looks for, patient preparation instructions, estimated processing times, and other suggested tests. If you have additional questions while you're shopping online at Ulta Wellness, there is a live support agent you can message.
Order online and test right away
Once you purchase a lab test through Ulta Wellness' website, you'll create a free account with them where you can track your tests and access your results later on. You'll also receive a confirmation email upon receipt, which you'll print and take with you to one of over 2,100 patient service centers that Ulta Wellness partners with nationally. Using their locator tool, you can find a lab closest to your home and get your specimen collected right away.
Most results within 12-48 hours
For most tests, you'll get your results back within 12-48 hours through their online portal. You'll be able to view intuitive charts that display your data along with explanations of biomarkers to give you a clear understanding of your results. You can download and/or print PDFs of your results to share with your healthcare provider if you choose to.
Eligible for cancellation within 60 days
If you order a lab test and then decide not to use it, you can get a refund from Ulta Wellness within 60 days as long as you have not had any labs run. You'll get a full refund minus a $10 cancellation fee.
Happy customers and positive ratings
Since New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island prevent direct-access testing, you won't be able to use Ulta Wellness if you're a resident of one of those states. For everyone else, Ulta Wellness is a fantastic option for lab testing. We are impressed with their huge selection of online test options. They've even recently added a nutrition store where you can buy supplements to help with specific health concerns. This may be useful for people looking to boost their overall health after receiving lab test results. Ulta Wellness has happy customers and positive ratings, so it's a great place to shop for lab tests online.
Test Country was founded in 2001 with the goal of creating direct-to-consumer technology to help address prolific drug abuse. In addition to providing drug tests, Test Country provides a range of services to assist in the development and improvement of corporate drug testing programs ranging from instant drug and alcohol tests to implementing a complete corporate drug testing program. Test Country stays involved in the community by donating sack lunches to local homeless shelters and puts on events to support communities affected by natural disasters.
Drug testing only
The three types of drug tests you'll find at Test Country include saliva, cups, and dip cards. There are 34 tests in total and you can get anything from a 2-panel to a 14-panel test that looks for things like alcohol, cocaine, barbiturates, fentanyl, LSD, methamphetamine, opioids, and more. Each test comes with specific instructions on how to administer it, how long it takes to read results, and how to interpret them. Each test has a shelf life of 12-18 months on average.
Buy in bulk
Test Country targets businesses and organizations that need to buy lab tests in bulk. For example, most of their test have a minimum order of 75 units. If you're a parent who just needs a handful of tests. Test Country may be overkill for what you're looking for. However, if you need to buy a large number of tests, Test Country is an excellent choice.
Low price guarantee
You're guaranteed to get the lowest prices at Test Country because if you find a test from another company for a lower price that's identical to one offered by Test Country, they'll match it. For companies looking to buy in bulk, Test Country is a great option, since most of the time test kits come with at least 75 units. If you spend over $75 at Test Country, you'll also get free shipping. If you order by 4 pm, you'll get same-day shipping too.
30-day return policy
Unused merchandise from Test Country can be returned within 30 days of receipt if it is unopened, sealed, and in its original condition, but a 25% restocking fee will be charged to your account.
Reputable company for drug testing
Test Country is a great option for drug testing in bulk. Since they have such a high minimum order, and they don't have a good selection of other types of tests (such as health and wellness), they aren't going to be a go-to place for everyone. However, Test Country has an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau, is very reputable, allows customer reviews on all products, and has high customer satisfaction. If your needs match what they offer, we highly recommend Test Country for drug testing - otherwise you may need to look elsewhere.
Better Lab Tests now offers quality lab tests at affordable prices. They are proud to partner with people like Dr. Russell Jaffe, Bill Harris, and other well-known industry leaders to bring you accurate results. The company aims to help people take charge of their own wellness decisions and find the root of their problems rather than waste time and money just treating the symptoms.
Limitations
Before reading ahead, it's helpful to know that some states prohibit direct access testing including New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Maryland, so if you're a resident of one of those states, Better Lab Tests Now won't be able to serve you.
Test up to 512 allergens
There are five main categories of tests that you can order through Better Lab Tests Now. The first is a delayed allergy test. This allows you to test up to 512 common foods and chemicals to identify hidden burdens to your immune system. You can order specific tests that identify sensitivities to food preservatives, environmental chemicals, medications, molds, gluten, silicone, and others. The cost for these tests ranges from $118 to $1,725 depending on your selection. You can buy them individually or get combination tests that look for a variety of allergens at once. The immediate allergy tests look for allergic reactions that occur within minutes or up to three hours after exposure. These tests are $353, but at the time of this review, they were all out of stock.
Analyze biomarkers, vitamin levels, and hormones
The other tests available include predictive biomarkers (forecasters of individual health risks and resilience) that range from $620 to $2,200 depending on how many markers you test for. A nutritional and environmental analysis can check vitamin D levels, digestive transit time, homocysteine, hemoglobin, and other important levels. These tests range from as little as $11 for something like a urine pH kit to $170 for a Omega-6 to Omega-3 ratio kit. Lastly, you can check your hormone functioning with kits ranging from $78 to $600. A full description of what is included in any test and why it matters is listed in each test kit description.
Get results in 7-10 business days
Once you select the test(s) you want to purchase, you'll pay for them (shipping is always free) and receive specific instructions on what to do next. Most tests require a blood sample, so once your kit arrives, you'll either visit a location near you or use a mobile phlebotomist to get your blood drawn. Once you've submitted your sample and completed all other necessary steps for your particular test kit, you can expect results in 7-10 business days. You'll get an email as soon as your results are in and then a lab technician will explain any information you would like clarified.
90-day return window with a processing fee
Once you've ordered a test from Better Lab Tests Now, it needs to be used within 12 months or by the listed expiration date. If you want a refund on your purchase, it must be requested within 90 days of your order date. To qualify for a refund, all documents with the kit including a prepaid shipping label and bag must be returned and you'll be charged a $35 processing fee in addition to the return shipping costs. In most cases, it will be most beneficial for you to just complete the test and rest assured knowing the testing systems are highly comprehensive and have a split sample daily variance of less than 3% of items tested. In other words, the tests are very accurate.
Missing customer feedback
Something that would make Better Lab Tests Now stand out above their competition is feedback from customers. They have some filtered reviews posted on their website, but these aren't reliable enough for us to know how people's experience with this company has been. They don't have a Better Business Bureau profile either. We don't doubt that this company offers reliable results, but they also have a smaller selection of tests than many other companies do. This is a good place to get lab tests if they have one you're specifically looking for and better prices than what you'd find elsewhere, but their lack of customer reviews and limited selection land them with an average rating from us.
Personalabs is a privately-held healthcare company that provides a range of medical testing and telehealth services. The company was founded in 2006 and partnered with Quest Diagnostic to help people get lab tests they need locally and affordably. Personalabs strives to empower consumers to take control of their own healthcare decisions and be proactive in managing their health.
More than 400 tests available
Personalabs has a huge selection of tests available for anyone residing in the US (except for residents of New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island) to order straight to your home. The easiest way to find what you're looking for is to search it on their website, since there are over 400 tests to choose from. Categories include allergies, autoimmune disorders, cancer, liver function, hormones, pregnancy and fertility, STD functioning, weight loss, fitness, and more.
Descriptive explanation of tests
With each lab test listed on Personalabs' website there is a thorough description of what the test identifies, who it is recommended for, special instructions (if fasting is required before the blood sample), and the estimated turnaround time for results. Tests can take anywhere between 2 and 10 business days to get results, but most of them are available in just 24-48 hours.
Visit a local lab
Rather than having to wait for a kit to arrive in the mail, Personalabs sends you an email once you've purchased a test from them. You'll print out the doctor's order (from Personalabs) and present it to a lab technician in your area. Personalabs partners with over 2,300 testing centers, so by providing your zip code you'll be able to find a lab close by where you can get your sample taken care of.
One-week cancellation window
If you decide to cancel your lab test, you can do so within 7 days of purchase to receive a refund, minus $15 to cover the cost of the doctor's order and processing. If you decide not to use your lab test after the 7 days are up, you'll receive a credit in your account (less the $15 fee) to be used toward a test at a later date. All tests are valid for 6 months from the purchase date.
Telehealth options
Aside from ordering lab tests from Personalabs, you can connect with a medical professional online to get advice or a second opinion about health issues you're experiencing. All you have to do is book a consultation through their website for $89, then call the phone number found in your confirmation email to select a time slot. You could review the results of a lab test you took or discuss other concerns.
Little customer feedback
Personalabs has an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau, but they don't have any customer reviews on their page. Additionally, it's hard to find customer feedback anywhere else online about this company and some of what we've found is discouraging. Although they have an extensive list of available tests, they don't seem to have a big base of customers to give us reliable feedback about the legitimacy of this company. Personalabs might be a good option, but to stay on the safe side, we recommend going with a higher-rated company that has thousands of reviews from happy customers.
WellnessFX was founded in 2010. The company combines direct-to-consumer access to advanced blood tests, phone consultations with health practitioners, and online data tracking packages to help customers identify and reverse potential health risks even before symptoms appear. You can get access to biomarkers that measure metabolic, cardiovascular, hormonal, and nutritional health.
Comprehensive blood analysis
WellnessFX is available in every state besides New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Maryland, Hawaii, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Rather than offering individual lab tests, WellnessFX provides a comprehensive overview of your health after a blood draw analysis. To get started, you'll look through the eight packages offered by WellnessFX and find the one that best fits your needs. Next, you'll find a lab location near you to have your blood drawn (typically takes about 10 minutes). Most tests require you to fast for 12 hours ahead of time.
8 packages to choose from
There are 8 packages total to choose from at WellnessFX. They include:
Compare tests
There's a lot that goes into each package offered by WellnessFX. They've provided a comparison chart that lays out everything included in each package so you can decide which one is best for you. You can also read an in-depth description of each test on the individual product page, find a nearby diagnostics lab, and see what the cost would be if you choose to add a 20-minute nutritional consultation to your purchase.
Consult a dietician or physician
You have the option of just scheduling a consultation with a dietician/nutritionist or a physician without any tests if you choose to. They may recommend supplements they believe will improve your health or give you guidance on how to proceed in your health journey. Pricing is as follows:
Results within 4-8 days
Most results are ready within 4-8 business days. WellnessFX prides themselves in their comprehensive results they provide through their online portal. You'll see a visualization of your blood test results over time and a description of each biomarker. WellnessFX suggests continuing to monitor your biomarkers over time since blood regenerates every 120 days. This way you can see how diet and lifestyle changes are helping your overall health.
No refund policy
Unfortunately, if you purchase a package from WellnessFX online and then change your mind, there is nothing on the website that suggests you're able to get a refund.
Lacking customer feedback
The idea behind WellnessFX is interesting and could be very effective for people who want to analyze a lot of health factors. However, it may be more comprehensive than many people want. We wish you were able to purchase individual tests from WellnessFX. In addition, we wish they had unfiltered reviews on their website. They don't have a Better Business Bureau rating and we can't find a lot of reliable reviews from customers saying that they like the service that WellnessFX offers. Because of this, they've earned an average rating from us.
Everlywell was founded in 2015 and is aiming to build a world where everyone can access insightful and life-changing lab tests to take control of their own health. They connect consumers with certified labs for at-home collection tests that are reviewed by board-certified physicians. Online results provide evidence-based insights, suggestions, and next steps. Everlywell has been featured by The New York Times, Forbes, Bloomberg, Cosmopolitan, Fast Company, and Time.
Over 30 tests available
You can search for a test kit by the categories of general wellness, men's health, women's health, energy and weight, sexual health, and COVID. There are over 30 total results for things like a thyroid test, metabolism test, HIV test, heavy metals test, ovarian reserve test, FIT colon cancer screening test, and other common potential concerns.
Never leave home
The process for getting results from Everlywell's test kits is similar to what you do with other companies. Once you request and pay for the kit you want, it will be delivered right to your doorstep and includes pre-paid expedited shipping to send your sample to a lab. Next, you'll register your test, wait for it to be approved, collect your sample from home, and drop it in the mail. You can view a PDF of step-by-step instructions for each type of test on their product page. Your digital results and insights are available within about 5 business days and you can easily share them with a doctor or family members if needed.
Save on tests
You'll usually be able to save some money on the test kits from Everlywell. At the time of this review they were offering 25% off of everything with a discount code and there was a "spin the wheel" game that popped up where you could save a certain percentage on your purchase. The cost of tests range anywhere from $49 to $259 depending on what you're testing for. Shipping is always free and Everlywell accepts FSA and HSA.
Try a few different tests
An interesting thing to consider if you want to try a few different tests from Everlywell is their monthly subscription. For $24.99 every month, you'll receive regular access to a new test of your choice from a selection of 14 options (regularly $49 - $99 each) and an additional 20% off sitewide on all other tests. You can cancel at any time without having to pay any fees.
Don't expect a full refund on returns
The refund policy at Everlywell states that if you cancel your order before it is shipped, you qualify for a 100% refund. If it's been 30 days or less and you return your order, you're eligible for a refund minus $15 to cover shipping, handling, and processing fees. You won't be sending your kit back since they can't accept them even if they are unused.
Beware of first impressions
Unfortunately, the Everlywell tests (as well as those from other companies) are not available to citizens of New York due to state restrictions. Otherwise this is a very accessible company with an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau. However, despite a professional website, thorough information, and a decent selection of tests, this company may not be as good as its first impressions.
Surprisingly bad reputation
We were surprised and disappointed by the amount of bad reviews from customers complaining that the tests did not pick up on severe allergies that people had dealt with for years, results come back much slower than promised, and errors are often made that result in voided tests. We aren't comfortable with the amount of times Everlywell is referred to as a "scam" . This is the main reason Everlywell has earned our lowest ranking. We recommend using a company with a better reputation.
There is a never-ending list of ailments that can disrupt our lifestyle, so it's a relief that there are solutions for people who want to understand what's going on inside their body. Some of the most commonly purchased lab tests include infectious diseases, cancer screening, diabetes, pregnancy/ovulation, allergies, kidney function, drugs and steroids, and immunology. This is just a short list of the options that are at your disposal.
