Liceadex is an advanced lice product sold by Q-Based Solutions, an online marketplace that specializes in selling skin care products to help fight various skin ailments. Aside from lice products, Q-Based Solutions has an inventory of formulas to deal with athlete's foot, eczema, nail fungus, psoriasis, ringworm, scabies, skin parasites, and more.
One lice product in 3 sizes
Q-Based Solutions' website is functional and practical, but not very modern or appealing. This isn't a big deal, as long as they sell high-quality products, but it's one of the first things we noticed. There are only 3 lice products available on their site. Technically, they're all the same product, but you can purchase them in different quantities depending on your situation.
Works on household items
Liceadex, Q-Based Solutions' lice product is a home and bedding spray. You can purchase it in an 8 oz ($9.95), 32 oz ($19.95), or 128 oz ($44.95) bottle. Q-Based Solutions doesn't have anything to get rid of the actual lice on your head or scalp, but it is also important to clean bedding and other household items, so this is where Liceadex comes in handy. It comes in a spray bottle to use on clothing, bedding, furniture, and in your car and it is meant to work as soon as it is sprayed to combat lice and nits.
Simple formula
The formula for Liceadex is environmentally friendly and non-toxic. The ingredients include sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), sodium chloride, peppermint oil, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, and water. They don't list whether or not this is safe for all ages, but based on the ingredients, it appears as if it can be used without concern.
Money-back guarantee
If you make a diligent effort to use Liceadex as directed while fighting lice and you feel that it does not live up to your expectations, Q-Based Solutions offers a 30-day money back guarantee. In order to qualify for a refund, you'll need to call customer service and discuss the situation within the first 7 days of use.
Effective and easy to use
Q-Based Solutions has an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau, but there are few customer reviews about them. They do allow reviews on all their products, which is great, but what we found for Liceadex wasn't quite as reliable as we'd hoped. Although positive, the most recent reviews are from 2007, which is nearly irrelevant at this point.
Good option
Luckily we were able to find product reviews elsewhere after doing some more research - and found that Liceadex is a reliable product that's extremely easy to use. We wish there were also options from Q-Based Solutions for dealing with lice on your head, but we are happy to find a good option for cleaning personal items as well.
No one wants to face the nuisance of having lice, but unfortunately it's a common problem, especially among kids. These pesky, tiny, six-legged insects cling to the scalp and neck to feed on human blood (rude, right?) and cause an estimated 6 - 12 million infestations yearly. Contracting lice has nothing to do with cleanliness or hygiene, but rather it spreads easily from person to person.
Lice can be picked up at school, during a sports activity, on a playground, at a friend's house, or anywhere that head-to-head contact might occur. You or your child might have lice if you're suffering from an itchy, irritated scalp. Scratching at the lice can cause infections, so it's important to take care of it as soon as possible.
Luckily, head lice is generally not dangerous and doesn't spread diseases, but it is extremely annoying and can take quite a bit of effort to get rid of. It will likely take at least a few days to eliminate the lice completely.
Aside from doing a deep clean of your house, bedding, towels, stuffed animals, clothing, and anything else that comes in contact with the lice, there are quite a few proven products that can be purchased over-the-counter to gently and effectively kick those nasty bugs to the curb. Although some people try to use natural remedies like vinegar, mayonnaise, or olive oil, they aren't as strong as products engineered to fight lice, and you may end up dealing with more lice nits (white lice eggs that attach to your hair) that hatch later on.
For best results, purchase a highly-rated product and apply it based on the included directions. Check your hair every 8-12 hours to monitor the reduction of active lice. You may need to switch products if it doesn't seem to be working. Expect to use multiple applications of the lice product to make sure that any newly-hatched lice are killed before they create a re-infestation that makes you have to restart the whole process. Try to be patient and know that although it may take some time, you can eliminate lice completely and get back to your normal routine.
