American Tourister is known for the high-quality materials used to make their luggage, but the most common complaints are about their wheels and zippers. If yours breaks within the 3-year limited manufacturer's warranty period, you can take your suitcase to an authorized service center to get it repaired. Overall, people report that they're happy with these suitcases and some people have used theirs for 20-30 years with no issues, making American Tourister a fantastic brand to consider when buying luggage.

Thule is a sporting goods brand that has a line of products to transport just about anything. Whether you need a ski rack for your next adventure, a stroller for rocky terrain, a fancy camera case, or luggage for intense traveling, Thule has you covered. Their suitcases are a few hundred dollars each, so you're investing more if you shop here. They have unique, sporty luggage that's different from many other brands, but a major hangup we have is with how many people have complained about poor customer service. If you have an issue with your order or product, it seems that Thule may not be as quick to help as you'd hope for spending so much money.
Tumi is an exclusive provider of luggage to some well-regarded sports groups and they boast rigorous testing of all their products. Tumi has a generous 5-year warranty and their suitcases often come with extra zipper pockets and unique storage solutions, so we wanted to love the brand. Unfortunately, their prices start at $595, so besides being wildly out of some people's budgets, Tumi doesn't have great product reviews or much positive feedback from customers about the company as a whole.
