Overstock Review 3.5 Star Rating

Overstock

3.5 Star Rating
  • Frequent sales
  • Free shipping over $49.99
  • Get 15% off when you sign up for emails
  • 30-day return policy
  • Unfiltered customer reviews
  • "A+” Better Business Bureau rating

Overstock is an appealing place to shop for outdoor furniture because they have a selection so big it's hard to wrap your mind around. They carry every type of outdoor furniture and decor, so you'll never get bored looking through your options. Overstock often marks down their items, so we wouldn't consider this an expensive place to get outdoor furniture. They offer free shipping on orders over $49.99 and a 30-day return policy. After they acquired Bed Bath & Beyond in 2023, the company has gone through a lot of changes and seems to have issues with deliveries and the quality of their items. Customer service doesn't seem too helpful either. Their customer reviews have really taken a dive recently, so we hope that in the future they can perform better and earn (back) people's trust.

Serenity Health & Home Decor Review 3 Star Rating

Serenity Health & Home Decor

  • Price-match guarantee
  • 30-day return policy
  • Same-day shipping available
  • Free shipping

Serenity Health & Home Decor has a small but decent selection of basic outdoor furniture. What you find here won't have cushions or fun colors or patterns, but it works for a decorative addition to your yard or just to have somewhere to sit for a bit and rest when you're outside. Since the furniture here is simple, it's reasonably priced and everything ships for free. If you order early enough in the day, Serenity Health & Home Decor offers same-day shipping. There are no customer reviews on the site and no rating from the Better Business Bureau for this company, so we wish there were more ratings from buyers. Overall this is a decent place to shop if you want basic furniture and don't need a crazy big selection, so they've earned an average rating.

Where is the Best Place to Purchase Outdoor Furniture?

Outdoor Furniture Store FAQ

Anything you want to make your outdoor space comfortable, beautiful, and functional can be purchased online. You might buy chairs, tables, umbrellas, hammocks, ottomans, cushions, and rugs, just to name a few. Even though most of these are large items, they can easily be purchased online and shipped to your home for you to assemble and start enjoying!
A good outdoor furniture set could easily cost a few hundred dollars. This is because if you want quality craftsmanship that will last for many years and withstand different weather patterns, you will pay for it. However, buying a good outdoor couch will likely be a lot less money than what you'd pay for the couch in your home. Depending on the materials you choose, you can find outdoor furniture that fits your budget.
Yes! Stores that sell outdoor furniture online usually have a return policy that allows you to send your product back in new and unused condition within 30-60 days. Keep in mind that since outdoor furniture is often quite big, a lot of the items might come with a restocking fee. The best thing to do is check a retailer's return policy before making a purchase so you know what to expect.
A lot of outdoor furniture is made of a sturdy plastic, steel frame, or wicker material that can withstand heat as well as the cold. The nice thing about outdoor furniture is that it's usually made to get wet too, so you don't have to worry about it getting splashed on from the pool or soaked in a rainstorm. The main thing to consider when worrying about weather is things like couch cushions and rugs that might fade or get discolored in severe weather. You should always consider applying protective sealants to your patio furniture each year to make it as weather-resistant as possible.
Outdoor furniture is exposed to more elements than indoor furniture, so it will get dirtier much faster. How easy will it be to clean and maintain your outdoor furniture? Another thing to consider is storage. Do you want your outdoor couch to double as a storage bin? This could be helpful for organizing outdoor toys and other accessories. Last but not least, consider the color of your house and any other outdoor materials around your house to make sure that all your furniture matches.
Most outdoor furniture is easy to clean. Simply getting a wet rag and wiping it down will go a long way. You could also consider buying a patio furniture cleaner that is meant to gently remove dirt, grease, and water marks from outdoor furniture. For furniture accessories like pillows, cushions, blankets, or anything made of cotton or polyester material, it is best to machine-wash or spot clean with a rag.
The short answer is yes. But, it isn't absolutely necessary for your furniture to discolor and it often takes years for that to happen anyway. Unless your outdoor furniture is in a partly indoor space, it will likely get exposed to direct and indirect sunlight throughout the day. It helps to keep it on a covered patio or under a large umbrella to prevent it from getting too hot. If you aren't using your outdoor furniture for an extended period of time, it is a good idea to keep it in a garage or shed for added protection.
Every manufacturer of outdoor furniture has different warranty periods for their products. High-quality furniture will come with at least a 5-year warranty, but you might even get 10-15 years from some manufacturers. The warranty will give you peace of mind knowing that whatever you buy should stay in tip top shape for at least a few years. The better you take care of it, the longer it will last!

Whatever your lifestyle type, there is outdoor furniture to cater to you. Most furniture is made to withstand all types of weather and be used all year long, so it's a fantastic addition to your outdoor space.

There are a lot of brick-and-mortar stores that carry a selection of outdoor furniture. However, most places have a much bigger inventory online - and then you don't have to leave your house to view all your options. You can see the dimensions and specs of all the furniture you're interested in and head outside to measure and make sure it is the right size. You can also compare pricing, read customer reviews, and sometimes even use special features that let you view the furniture in your space. The outdoor furniture will get delivered straight to your house and be ready to use in no time.

Some companies will offer major sales on outdoor furniture during the off-season, like wintertime. Other times they might do big seasonal or holiday sales, so this is a great time to buy all the outdoor furniture you've been eying. There are quite a few stores to choose from that have a great selection of outdoor furniture, so keep the following things in mind when choosing who to go with:

  • Selection. Does the company give you plenty of outdoor furniture types, a range of pricing, and extensive details and photos so you can easily decide which choice will work best in the areas around your home? Does their website make it easy to browse through all the options and filter through categories that best fit the vision you have for your yard?
  • Return policy. There's always a chance you'll change your mind about the outdoor furniture you choose after it arrives. Or maybe you find that the pieces don't fit the area you're outfitting as well as you'd imagined. Are you able to return everything within a reasonable timeframe? Is it still returnable once it has been assembled? Check the fine print on the return policy so you aren't stuck with big pieces of furniture you don't want anymore.
  • Customer satisfaction. What do other customers have to say about the outdoor furniture store? Does the company have a Better Business Bureau rating? We appreciate stores that let customers leave honest reviews on the products they sell. This is one of the most helpful things for a potential customer and we've found that we're rarely led astray with our purchase when we refer to these reviews to make our buying decisions.
