We wish that there were more customer reviews on individual products to reassure us that if you do end up committing to buying your outdoor furniture here, it will be worth it.

When we looked elsewhere, we saw a few complaints, but overall people genuinely do seem happy with their purchases here. Could use some website work

One of our biggest grievances with Serenity Health is their old-school website. Besides selecting from categories of Sunnydaze decor, patio dining tables, conversation sets, patio furniture sets, chairs and outdoor benches, furniture covers, porch swings, and cushions and pillows, you can't narrow down the product selection. This isn't a huge issue since the inventory isn't that big to begin with, but it's always helpful to have more filtering options to quickly see if they have exactly what you're looking for.

Slim inventory

There are around 5 or 6 patio sets, 6 throw pillow styles, 12 porch swings, and 3 benches, just to give you an idea of the limited inventory here. The product photos aren't uniform, so it looks a little messy and things aren't organized as well as they could be. However, the product descriptions allow people to leave unfiltered reviews (unfortunately there are very few), and you can see the dimensions, warranty information, multiple photos, specs, and features of every listing.

Odd pricing

A lot of the products at Serenity Health were slightly discounted, but since none of the designs here are very modern or exciting, things still felt a little more pricey than we anticipated. For a small, wood, folding round 32-inch bistro table the cost was $315, and yet you could get a 4-piece outdoor furniture set with a loveseat, two arm chairs, and a table for $465, which seems like a great deal. Prices just aren't very uniform. Luckily Serenity Health does have a price-match guarantee that says they will match or beat a competitor's cost if they are selling an identical product. You'll just need to contact customer service through an online form to qualify.

Satisfaction guarantee

If you're unhappy with a purchase through Serenity Health, they will allow you to send it back within 30 days of receipt under their satisfaction guarantee. To receive authorization, contact their customer service by email or phone and a return address will be emailed to you. All products must be packaged as they came with all their instructions and parts.

Mediocre option

Luckily a lot of customers have had a great experience buying from Serenity Health and they have an "A” rating from the Better Business Bureau. We don't see any reason not to trust their products or shop here - besides the fact that their online platform and selection isn't as good as many other retailers that sell outdoor furniture. We aren't really wowed by what is offered here, but it's not a bad option either. Serenity Health has earned an average rating from us.

Lots of categories, not a huge inventory

Besides just shopping for outdoor furniture at Horchow, you can browse their selection of bedroom, living room, and dining room furniture, home decor accents, bed and bath products, lighting fixtures, rugs and window treatments, and kitchen essentials. There are over 670 products in their outdoor furniture and decor category. You can sort everything by designer, type, featured collection, color, and price. When you break it down, there aren't tons of options in each category, with sconces having the biggest inventory to choose from. There are upwards of 80 pillows and chairs, but any other product you might be looking for has an even smaller selection.

Luxury prices

We'll jump right in by saying that Horchow is one of the most expensive places to go looking for outdoor furniture. This is, after all, a luxury retailer, so a $6,400 sculpture of a diver to put near your pool or $1,000 for a simple, basic-looking outdoor dining chair shouldn't be that shocking. A single throw pillow is around $200 and even with a 25% off sale happening during the time of this review, even the most plain looking accessories might cost you your firstborn child. But hey, free shipping!

Basic product descriptions

We expected a bit more of Horchow's product listings and website, seeing as how you won't want to buy things willy-nilly here. When you click on something you're interested in, you are taken to a basic page with bulleted items providing a quick description of the product, dimensions, weight, color options, and simple care instructions. We wish they allowed customers to leave reviews on all the products. It seems like the least this retailer could do to help with the online buying process.

Big range of shipping times

We noticed that many of the items take a while to ship. For example, an outdoor chaise we were interested in said it "usually ships within 150 business days.” That's a pretty long window of time. Some other items ship within 2 months but if you're lucky, you'll get an in-stock item that should ship within just a few days. Shipping time totally depends on the item and brand you're interested in.

Return within 30 days

Horchow will accept returns within 30 days of receipt. As long as it is in the same condition you received it, you'll be able to get a full refund back to your original form of payment. Some orders are eligible for a free return if they are sent back within 15 days of receipt as long as you initiate your return on the website and follow the instructions.

Not a top choice

Horchow has an "A+” rating from the Better Business Bureau, no thanks to what appears to be quite a few customer complaints. We thought we would find more customer reviews online, but there aren't as many as we'd hoped. From what we are able to read, the vast majority of people are dissatisfied with their purchases here. Many complaints of defective items and difficulties working with customer service make us skeptical of how high-quality and luxury this company really is. A handful of customers aren't necessarily a reflection on the hundreds or thousands that probably shop here, but from what we can tell, Horchow isn't doing a spectacular job with their customer service. Since you'll be paying so much if you shop here, you deserve top-of-the-line care - which Horchow seems to fail to deliver. This retailer isn't a top choice for us.

The company started in 2002 as a family-owned business and has grown to offer hundreds of thousands of products from a long list of manufacturers. Totally Furniture's goal is to make buying furniture as simple as possible for their customers and offer an extensive selection at affordable prices.

Lots of products, hard to filter

The categories of outdoor furniture at Totally Furniture include tables, sets, chairs, benches and ottomans, sofas, daybeds, and outdoor storage. There are a couple hundred options in each category that can be sorted by brand or price. This isn't as comprehensive of a platform as some of their competitors have so you'll probably do quite a bit of scrolling to see the full selection.

Reasonable pricing

Since Totally Furniture ships directly from manufacturers to you, it helps customers save a bit of money. You can find a lot of products that are on sale, but even at full price, the cost of outdoor furniture here isn't bad. They don't have a price-match guarantee or an email subscription option that provides you with a discount, so you probably won't score any huge sales here, but there is a big enough price range available that you can hopefully find something within your budget.

Basic details provided

When you click on a piece of furniture you're interested in, you can see if the product is available right away and approximately how long it will take to ship. You can also read basic details about the features, dimensions, and weight. We wish they provided multiple pictures of the product at different angles and also allowed customers to leave reviews on their purchases. The overall website design and functionality of Totally Furniture's site is really basic and doesn't go above and beyond by any means.

Short return window

You'll need to make up your mind pretty fast after receiving items from Totally Furniture about whether or not you want to keep it. You only have 7 days from delivery to contact customer service and initiate the return. You'll need to pay "round trip” shipping costs, which means you'll pay for the cost of returning the furniture and have the initial shipping cost deducted from your refund if you were offered free shipping to begin with. Some manufacturers will charge restocking fees while others don't allow returns at all. There is a list of these brands on Totally Furniture's website that we highly recommend you review before making a purchase in case your item is non-returnable.

Varying shipping costs

It's hit or miss as far as what you might end up paying for shipping at Totally Furniture. Since things come directly from manufacturers, some companies offer free shipping and others charge up to a few hundred dollars. When you're viewing a product listing it might say free shipping or tell you nothing at all about what to expect for delivery. If you don't see a price, add the product to your cart and then you'll be able to see the shipping cost before checkout.

Not our favorite

Totally Furniture has mediocre reviews from customers. Some people feel like they scored great deals here and got good quality furniture while others complain that customer service is a pain to work with and delivery can be extremely slow. The Better Business Bureau gives Totally Furniture an "A+” rating, which is great, but this still isn't our favorite outdoor furniture retailer. We wish they provided more details about each item, including customer reviews. They also have such a short return window that we could see some shoppers getting stuck with furniture they aren't happy with if they don't act fast enough. Design Furnishings specializes in affordable wicker patio furniture. We wish they provided information about the history of their company, how long they've been in business, and what their goals are. We aren't sure where Design Furnishings operates out of or where their warehouse is. What we do know is that the product options here include outdoor seating, dining chairs, bar furniture, chaises, firepits, and accessories like cushions, storage, umbrellas, and more.

Unimpressive selection

The organization of products at Design Furnishings is a little confusing. When you select a type of furniture you're interested in, you can view different styles and then view the options within that style category. Some products include tables with the set, others include just chairs. You can sort by the number of seats, number of pieces, product material, and price range, but you probably won't have much use of these filters since there aren't too many products in total. There are also quite a few options that are out of stock, which limits your options even more.

A bit pricey

The cost of any given furniture item at Design Furnishings seems slightly more expensive than what we expected, considering they boast that their prices are exceptionally low due to factory-direct shipping. Two simple wicker chairs are as much as $725 and a small square table with 4 wicker chairs is nearly $1,700. For high-quality furniture, this isn't completely unreasonable, but it's more than we anticipated from a retailer that doesn't seem to have a lot to show for itself.

Free shipping

All furniture from Design Furnishings ships free. They say smaller, in-stock items can usually be delivered within 6 days from the date it ships, but larger items take 1-4 weeks in transit time. It's not specified what qualifies as small or large furniture.

30-day return policy

Design Furnishings says they will provide full refunds within 30 days of purchase to customers who contact customer service by phone or email. You'll be required to pay the cost of return shipping and you can expect a refund within 4 weeks of the receipt of the product at our warehouse.

Not the most reliable option

There aren't as many customer reviews about Design Furnishings as we'd like to see to help us feel confident about shopping here. From what there is, we aren't reassured. It seems very difficult to get a hold of customer service since they primarily deal with customers over email and you can't get them on the phone. Some say they are charged for items that never shipped and if there are issues with their orders (since low quality also seems to be a complaint) it's almost impossible for them to be rectified. The Better Business Bureau gives them a "B” rating based on 19 reviews that have been made and closed in the last 3 years. This doesn't seem like the most reliable or popular place to buy outdoor furniture, so we recommend using a higher-rated site with better options.
