Frontera is a luxury patio furniture company that has been furnishing fine homes and resorts around the world for over 30 years. The company started out with a mail-order catalog of traditionally made furniture and their signature "World's Finest Outdoor Rocker" . Frontera boasts that they know their furniture inside and out and pride themselves on their customer service. Their brands include Kingsley Bate, Seasonal Living, Trex, Barlow Tyrie, Four Hands, and others.

Huge inventory

The categories of products at Frontera include outdoor furniture, poolside, umbrellas and shades, fire, heating and cooling, world's finest rockers, and accessories. Within each category is every type of furniture imaginable in a long list of sizes and materials. You can buy individual chairs and tables or full ensembles to easily complete your look.

Pricey furniture

When a company boasts that you can get $100 off if you spend $1,000, you know you're in for some high-priced items. You can easily spend over $1,000 on a single bar stool here and you probably won't find any for under $300. A table and chairs combo will be nearly $10,000. You'll get high quality from Frontera, but what's offered here might not be in everyone's budget. We wish that there were more customer reviews on individual products to reassure us that if you do end up committing to buying your outdoor furniture here, it will be worth it.

Some backordered brands

You aren't able to see a delivery date on all the products you're viewing, so it's suggested that you call or email customer service for lead times. Some brands are backordered, so it will take a few months until your order is ready to ship. If you spend over $99, your order will qualify for free shipping unless it is oversized and comes with a non-refundable oversized delivery fee.

No black and white return policy

If you change your mind about your outdoor furniture when it arrives, you'll need to contact customer service and discuss the issue. There isn't a black and white return policy at Frontera and we've seen some customers realize that their products weren't eligible for returns. Anything that is made-to-order probably won't be returnable. Err on the safe side and do your homework before ordering here, because it's probably safe to assume you won't be able to make a return.

Good customer reviews

Frontera is not rated by the Better Business Bureau and they only have one customer review there. On Frontera's website, they have 303 customer reviews, but all of them are 5 out of 5 stars, which is questionable. It appears that they used a third-party site to collect reviews, then filtered out the negative ones and posted all the best ones to their platform. When we looked elsewhere, we saw a few complaints, but overall people genuinely do seem happy with their purchases here. Reports of top-quality merchandise, courteous customer service, and prompt delivery reassure us that this company provides what they promise.

More affordable options elsewhere

We have no doubt that Frontera provides luxury, well-constructed outdoor furniture and accessories that can be enjoyed for years on end. If you want the best of the best for your outdoor living space, you should put some serious thought into buying from here. However, for people who just want basic furniture that won't cost an arm and a leg, there are better retailers for that.
