Top Consumer Reviews Best-In-Class Blue Ribbon Award

Amazing Clubs has been in business for 20 years, offering 44 clubs ranging from bacon to steak to peanut butter and yes, pickles. Across all of their clubs, they maintain an average of 4.6 stars from their 3 million happy customers. Amazing Clubs has also been featured on shows like Good Morning America and the Today Show. When we visited Amazing Clubs, we were greeted with a pop-up offering discounts of $5 to $30, depending on the duration of our subscription.

Two new varieties every month

Part of what makes Amazing Clubs' pickle of the month club such a great gift is the exclusivity and uniqueness of their selections. Amazing Clubs works to find small-batch, gourmet pickles using the best natural ingredients from independent, family-owned kitchens in the US - you won't find these at the grocery store. You can expect traditional pickles as well as sweet, spicy, bread and butter, kosher, and more varieties. Take a look at their past shipments to get an idea of the kinds of pickles you might receive if you sign up. Some previous selections have included Wisco Kitchen's Dill Pickle Spears and Gil's Gourmet Spicy Pickle Slices; ATX Artisan Market's Bread & Butter Pickle Slices paired with Kansas City Canning Co.'s Cucumber Dilly Pickle Spears; and, Campbell Gardens' Candied Pickle Slices with Gourmet Gardens' Peppered Pickle Spears.

Up to 12 months of a subscription

Amazing Clubs offers a longer range of club durations than some of their competitors. If you're interested in pickles for the long haul, you can choose up to 12 months of a subscription. Gifting monthly pickles to a potentially less-committed friend? You can also choose 3 months of pickles, 6 months, or a seasonal plan with one delivery every 3 months. Your plan will never auto-renew.

Best Pickle of the Month Clubs

Base pickle price is high, but free shipping makes a difference

Each shipment will contain two 16-24 oz jars of pickles, bringing each jar's rough cost to $19. That makes Amazing Clubs $5 to $8 more expensive than their competitors, looking at the price of the pickles alone. However, they do offer free shipping, and when their competitors are charging $12 or more for shipping every time you get a delivery, you might actually end up saving money with Amazing Clubs.

Give the gift of pickles to the whole office

Do your pickles keep going missing from the break room fridge? Your personal supply might be safer if you take advantage of Amazing Clubs' corporate pickle of the month gifting option to satisfy the culprits' sodium cravings. You'll have the opportunity to add some personal branding to the deliveries as well if that's important to you. To learn more about corporate gifting options (including bulk discounts), you'll need to reach out to Amazing Clubs' Corporate Sales Hotline or get in touch by email.

Stress-free gifting with satisfaction guarantee

All of Amazing Clubs' subscriptions are covered by their "They'll Love It” Guarantee. If you or your giftee are ever unhappy with what you receive, they'll do "everything [they] can to make you happy” - potentially even switching your recipient to a different club if they're moving on from pickles. You'll also be able to include a personalized gift message that arrives with a shipment or as an email. All Amazing Clubs subscriptions come with a newsletter containing fun facts and other information about their monthly selections, and if this pickle club is a gift, your recipient will receive detailed information about their gift membership, like when to expect deliveries. These things make Amazing Clubs a great option when you need a gift you can be sure will be a hit.

Easy to cancel

Amazing Clubs will let you cancel your subscription any time, no questions asked. You'll get a credit or refund for anything they haven't shipped.

Best Pasta of the Month Clubs

No info on proper storing available on website

Amazing Clubs doesn't provide any information about whether their pickle shipments need to be refrigerated or not. They just say that they're shipped in "protective packaging for safe arrival”. If there is any information about refrigeration or how long they can be stored in the pantry before they lose their crunch, it can probably be found in the newsletter.

Virtually every past customer has had a positive experience

Amazing Clubs has a perfect "A+” from the Better Business Bureau. On Trustpilot, they have a flawless 4.9 "Excellent” rating average from over 2,000 reviews, which is rare for any company. Customers rave about the quality of the customer service, and you'll find many repeat customers who have tried several of Amazing Clubs' options and found them all to be of stellar quality. A few customers have mentioned receiving a shipment of pickles with one or both jars shattered in transit. Even these reviews are still 5-star reviews, though, because upon being made aware of the problem, Amazing Clubs' customer service representatives had replacements shipped out immediately.

Our top choice

Despite being a bit more expensive upfront, purchasing a pickle of the month club from Amazing Clubs means you'll save on shipping, and the flawless reputation of this company means buying from them is very low-risk. If you're a pickle fanatic - or have someone in your life who is - this is a great way to widen your palate with new flavors or show you care. We'd highly recommend shopping with Amazing Clubs, whatever the occasion. They earn our highest rating of 5 stars.

Olive My Pickle Review 4.5 Star Rating

Olive My Pickle

4.5 Star Rating
  • 3-item subscription box starts at $41.82 with free shipping ($13.94 per item), up to 12 items for $117.11 ($10.84 per item)
  • Raw, unpasteurized fermented pickles made through traditional lactofermentation process
  • Rich in probiotics and beneficial for gut health
  • Every batch pH tested for safety
  • 6-month shelf life from packaging date
  • Wide variety including pickles, olives, kimchi, sauerkraut, and fermented green beans
  • Specialty LiveBrine probiotic drink options available
  • Free shipping on all orders
  • Certified Kosher products
  • Over 9,000 customer reviews with photos and serving suggestions

Olive My Pickle was created by passionate small-batch fermenters who believe that eating fermented food is the path to better gut health and healing. Each pouch of pickles comes with a few olives, too, hence their name, and all of their products are Certified Kosher. A pop-up when we landed on the site offered us 20% cash back on our first order, plus an extra 10% off every order on a pickle of the month plan.

Fermented pickles are better for your gut

You might think all pickles are created equal, but Olive My Pickle's fermentation process is actually quite different from what you'll find at the grocery store. Instead of using vinegar and heat like traditional pickles, they use an ancient method called lactofermentation that only requires salt, water, and spices. This means your pickles stay raw and unpasteurized, creating a living food that's packed with beneficial probiotics for your gut health. Don't worry about food safety, though - they pH test every single batch to make sure it's perfectly safe to eat. Pretty cool, right?

Be prepared for a unique flavor profile

The fermentation process means these won't taste like a grocery store pickle, either. People say they like the complexities, that they're "crispy enough to break one in half with your hands”, and that the flavor packs a punch. You can expect a tartness from the lactic acid, less sweetness than you'd taste with a vinegar-brined pickle, and a more earthy flavor.

Best Pickle of the Month Clubs

You should try a package before you subscribe

Olive My Pickle's monthly subscription club is popular for good reason - these pickles are expensive, and subscribing offers savings to pickle enthusiasts who can't justify spending $15 per jar. The company encourages customers to try their pickles first by purchasing one or two packages. This helps you discover your favorite flavors and determine your ideal consumption rate, since tolerance for fermented foods varies from person to person. It's also a practical approach that prevents customers from signing up for a subscription just to get the 20% discount and then canceling - something that's particularly challenging for a small business to manage financially.

$41.82 for 3 items, shipping included

Shipping is always free with Olive My Pickle. Their pickle of the month club boxes come in sizes of 3-12 items, with prices ranging from $41.82 to $117.11. The more items you order, the less you pay per item ($15.49 down to $10.84). Each pickle container is 32 ounces with 20 servings. You can find out the number of servings and product weight in each variety of pickle (or other product) right on the product listing.

More than just pickles

When you order from Olive My Pickle, you'll get to choose from four different fermented pickle varieties: Kosher Dill, Garlic, Spicy Kosher, and Horseradish Fermented. But that's just the beginning - they also offer ten different olive varieties (from buttery Castelvetrano to spicy mixes) and an impressive selection of other fermented goodies like kimchi, sauerkraut, and even fermented green beans. Each container holds 32 ounces and provides about 20 servings, giving you plenty of probiotic-rich snacks to enjoy.

Probiotic pickle juice for the brine drinkers out there

Those of us who are really crazy about pickles know the fun doesn't stop when the last pickle in the jar is eaten - the brine is just as good. Olive My Pickle gets it. They sell pouches of pickle juice called LiveBrine in several flavors (Classic Kosher Dill, Blue Spirulina & Lemon, Turmeric & Cracked Black Pepper, Pomegranate Beet & Tangerine, Aji Amarillo Pepper & Mango, and Dragon Fruit & Strawberry) for a healthy morning shot of probiotics… or maybe as a chaser after a shot of vodka. We don't judge.

Best Pickle of the Month Clubs

Good for 6 months in the fridge

When you order from Olive My Pickle, your fermented goods will be shipped within 2-4 business days, packed in a compostable insulated mailer with ice packs for temperature control during transit. The company may hold weekend orders until Monday to avoid packages sitting in carrier facilities. While refrigeration during shipping isn't strictly necessary, and there's no risk of spoilage during normal shipping times, you'll want to refrigerate your products when they arrive. The good news is that these fermented foods have a generous 6-month shelf life from their packaging date, and you can extend their life by periodically rotating the package to redistribute the brine.

5 days to report damaged goods

Olive My Pickle's return policy is pretty strict, but that makes sense for food items. You can't return or exchange products just because you don't like them. They don't make any blanket promises about your satisfaction, but if they mess up and send you the wrong item, they'll make it right with a refund, store credit, or replacement. Got damaged goods? You have 5 days to let them know and send photos. Make sure you double-check your shipping address, because if your package is undeliverable or refused, you'll be stuck with the shipping costs both ways.

Thousands of reviews and recommendations from real customers

While Olive My Pickle doesn't have listings with the Better Business Bureau or Trustpilot, you can explore over 9,000 customer reviews on their website. You'll find authentic feedback complete with photos and creative serving suggestions - from classic egg sandwiches to elevated charcuterie boards and dirty martinis. Customers particularly praise how these pickles help curb general food cravings and capture that nostalgic, homemade taste reminiscent of their grandmother's kitchen.

One of our favorite pickle clubs

What we appreciate most about this brand is their transparency. They don't hide negative reviews from customers who weren't fans of fermented foods, which demonstrates honesty and passion about what they do. We give Olive My Pickle an excellent rating. They'd earn a perfect score if not for the fact that fermented foods are an acquired taste and you'll want to sample their products before committing to a subscription.

Kaylin and Kaylin Review 4 Star Rating

Kaylin and Kaylin

4 Star Rating
  • 2-4 jars per month at $14 to $16 per jar
  • 11 unique pickle varieties including chips, spears, and whole pickles
  • Popular Honey Mustard pickle chips consistently receive rave reviews
  • Temperature-controlled shipping keeps pickles fresh for up to 7 days in transit
  • Refrigerated pickles stay fresh for up to 5 months
  • Free shipping on orders over $75
  • Started as successful farmer's market business with strong local following
  • Ships Monday through Saturday via USPS Priority with tracking
  • 15% off first order for new customers

Kaylin and Kaylin began when a New Yorker moved to the West Coast and realized he missed New York pickles. He started a farmer's market stall in the spring of 2020, and the demand from his new customers during lockdown was so high that he was able to stay in business with online orders. Thus, Kaylin and Kaylin as an online pickle club was born.

Delivery of 2-4 jars every month

Kaylin and Kaylin's "Build Your Own Monthly Bundle” pickle subscription plan allows you to choose 2, 3, or 4 jars. Just select your preference and click "customize my box” to pick your varieties. Pickle chip options include Bread & Butter, Classic Dill, Honey Mustard, Jalapeño, Spicy Dill, and Sweet Heat. Spears and whole pickle options include Classic Dill, Horseradish, Kosher Dill, Jalapeño, and Spicy Garlic. That's 11 options total, which is comparable to Kaylin and Kaylin's competitors.

Honey Mustard pickle chips are a fan favorite

Kaylin and Kaylin might show up on your TikTok or Instagram For You Page, since they send popular content creators jars of their pickles in exchange for a review. In the videos we watched, their Honey Mustard chips were everyone's favorite, and the customers who have left reviews on Kaylin and Kaylin's website agree. It's their bestseller, and one customer writes, "Actually bought these by accident. […] But every time I sit down and want a snack, this is the first thing I go for.”

Best Pickle of the Month Clubs

No early cancellations

The 2-jar plan comes with a 10% discount, while the 3 and 4-jar plans offer 15% off. With the 15% discount, jars cost $14-$16 each - which works out to be about $0.50 an ounce at 32 ounces a jar. Keep in mind that all subscriptions require a 3-month minimum commitment - you can't cancel until after your third delivery. There aren't any longer pickle of the month club options available, such as 6-month or annual plans. Keep an eye out for an offer of 15% off your first order, too, in case you decide to place a one-time order to get started.

Refrigerated pickles last 5 months

Kaylin and Kaylin pickles need to be refrigerated. When shipped, they'll be in temperature-controlled packaging that keeps them safe for up to 7 days, but after taking them out of the box, they need to go in the fridge. They can be left out of the fridge for a max of 72 hours before they lose their crunch and flavor, and they'll stay good in the fridge for up to five months.

Free shipping on orders over $75

While Kaylin and Kaylin's $12.75 shipping fee for orders under $75 might make you wince (especially compared to rivals offering free shipping), it's actually quite reasonable when you consider that some pickle companies charge a whopping $30 or more. Plus, you'll get free shipping if you order $75 worth of pickles, which isn't hard to do if you're stocking up. Orders ship Monday through Saturday via USPS Priority. Delivery might take 1-2 weeks during busy periods, but you'll at least get tracking information to keep tabs on your precious pickle cargo.

Return and refund policy is unclear

Kaylin and Kaylin has no formal return or refund policy. In an FAQ answer, they provide an email address to contact them with photos of any issues with your order and say they'll work to make things right. You can probably assume they won't refund you if the reason for your dissatisfaction is subjective, like flavor.

Best Pickle of the Month Clubs

Pickles get great ratings

While you won't find Kaylin and Kaylin listed on major review platforms like the Better Business Bureau or Trustpilot yet, their LA farmer's market location has built quite a buzz on Yelp. Customers rave about their pickles, with some even claiming they've ditched their beloved Claussen pickles in favor of K&K's kosher variety. Though they're still establishing their online presence, these glowing local reviews suggest you're in for a treat with their pickle of the month club.

Still pretty good

Kaylin and Kaylin ranks highly in our review for its unique flavors and concept. However, its pickle club doesn't earn our top rating due to no free shipping on smaller orders and limited online reviews of their monthly subscription service. While customers rave about their pickle flavors and quality, it's difficult to gauge how well this farmer's market business handles e-commerce without more customer feedback. They earn a solid rating, and we hope they'll strengthen their satisfaction guarantee or establish a BBB presence in the future.

Pickle Licious Review 3.5 Star Rating

Pickle Licious

3.5 Star Rating
  • $12 per quart ($1.13/oz) for monthly deliveries with 3 or 6-month subscription options
  • 13 different pickle varieties including classic and unique flavors
  • Award-winning pickles featured in The New York Times, CNN, and New York Magazine
  • Fast delivery within 2-3 days of shipping
  • Products shipped in secure plastic containers to prevent damage
  • 8-week shelf life for most varieties when refrigerated
  • Pickle Sampler option available for trying different varieties
  • 25% discount available for first-time orders with mailing list signup
  • Additional subscription options for olives or olive/pickle combinations

Pickle Licious, created by a single mother in 1995, has won awards for their pickles. Just a few years after they started selling their products at farmers' markets, the company had been featured in The York Times, CNN, and New York Magazine. Pickle Licious offers 13 varieties of pickles to fill out your pickle of the month club. If you sign up for their mailing list, you can get a generous 25% off your first order.

Spicy, sweet, and sour

Just so you know, Pickle Licious also offers a subscription option for olives and one for a combination of olives and pickles. But if you're just here for the pickles (and who could blame you?), Pickle Licious' product range consists of chips, full, and half pickles. For pickle chips, you can choose between:

  • Firecracker Pickle Chips
  • Kosher Dill
  • Mustard Dill
  • Sweet Chili
  • Sweet Horseradish
  • Sweet Pickle
  • Wasabi

Their full and half pickle options are:

  • Full Sour
  • Half Sour
  • Kosher Dill
  • Hot & Spicy
  • Horseradish
  • Flaming Dill

Try a Pickle Sampler if you're not sure

The Full Sour Pickles are apparently their bestseller - one customer says they're "the perfect amount of salt, sour, and/or sweet. The crunch is absolutely out of this world.” Can't decide what to get? You can purchase a Pickle Sampler for $15 (but it only comes with Kosher Dill, Full Sour, and Half Sours).

Best Pickle of the Month Clubs

$12 per quart

Pickle Licious subscriptions are available for durations of 3 or 6 months. (Don't be confused by the "frequency” label when you select your duration - this seems like a mistake, because it's made clear in the product description that your pickles will arrive every month, not only in the third or sixth months.) You can choose between a quart, a half-gallon, or a gallon of pickles, then make your product selections. Pickle Licious charges $36 for a quart (or 32 oz) of pickles to be delivered every month for 3 months. That averages out to $12 a quart, or $1.13 an ounce.

Arrives in 3 days

At checkout, you can choose your approximate first shipping date. Be aware that they only send out orders on Mondays, and it'll arrive between 2-3 days later, depending on the shipping option you choose.

Expect to pay at least $30 on shipping

Unfortunately, Pickle Licious' shipping fees are high. Your specific price will depend on your location, but we entered zip codes for two different states and still got an estimate of $35.28 at the lowest - which was equal to the amount we were paying for the pickles themselves. It seems like the shipping fee may apply to all 3 deliveries in a 3-month subscription, but a $71 price tag is hard to swallow nonetheless for some hopped-up cucumbers, even if they are award-winning.

No refunds for matters of taste, no refunds for shipping

Your pickles will be shipped in plastic containers, so you don't need to worry about glass shattering. If they do arrive damaged (for example, leaking) you have 2 days to report it to the company with a photo. They'll either replace your purchase or refund it to your original form of payment, but they won't refund the shipping fee. They also won't issue refunds if you simply dislike the taste or texture of the pickles.

Best Pickle of the Month Clubs

Most pickles last up to 8 weeks with refrigeration

Pickle Licious products do need to be refrigerated for a longer shelf life and a crunchier bite. Make sure to be home when your order arrives, so you can get them in the fridge as soon as possible. Generally, they'll last up to 8 weeks in the fridge, but Half Sour pickles only keep their taste and texture for up to 1 week because of how they're made - also called a "new pickle”, Pickle Licious's Half Sours only undergo a few days of brining for the look of a fresh cucumber and the salty taste of a traditional pickle.

We can't verify testimonials on their website using third-party reviews

We had a hard time finding any reliable third-party reviews for Pickle Licious. They aren't listed with the Better Business Bureau, Trustpilot, or any of the other places we normally look for a balanced picture of customer experiences. There were also no reviews on the product listing for their pickle club, but if you're after information about flavors and crunch factor, you can find plenty of reviews on listings for their individual pickles under "All Products”.

Safer options for gifting are available

While Pickle Licious' pickles sound mouth-watering if customer reviews are anything to go off of, we just can't get over the cost of shipping. And, as there are no reviews to be found about their customer service department and how well they handle complaints about shipping, we think the 2-day window for resolution is a bit too risky, especially if you're thinking of giving a pickle subscription as a gift. We would recommend checking out one of our higher-rated pickle clubs first, but we wouldn't rule Pickle Licious out entirely.

Pacific Pickle Works Review 3 Star Rating

Pacific Pickle Works

3 Star Rating
  • $80/year for Gherkin Club (8 jars) or $160/year for Big Dill Club (16 jars) - $10 per jar for both plans
  • Quarterly deliveries of artisanal pickled vegetables
  • Creative flavor combinations like gin-brined pickles and spicy pickled beets
  • Sources vegetables from Santa Barbara farmers' market
  • Featured in restaurants and specialty cocktails
  • Nationally recognized brand with appearances on Today Show
  • Earned "A+" rating from Better Business Bureau
  • Positive customer feedback on service and complaint resolution
  • Glass jar packaging

Known as "the pickle people," with Bradley Bennett as their "Principal Pickle" (which we surmise is pickle-ese for "CEO”), this company started with Bennett's proprietary spicy pickle recipe in 2001 before expanding into e-commerce due to growing demand. They source their vegetables from the Santa Barbara farmers' market, and their pickled products are featured in restaurants and specialty cocktails. This small business has gained national recognition, appearing on the Today Show and in publications like Spoonful and Gourmet News.

Plans offer 4 or 16 jars per year, priced $80 and $160 respectively

If you're a pickle enthusiast, Pacific Pickle Works offers two exciting quarterly subscription options that'll keep your pantry stocked with unique pickled creations. You can join the Gherkin Club for 2 jars per quarter at $80 (receiving 8 jars annually) or go big with the Big Dill Club for 4 jars per quarter at $160 (getting 16 jars annually).

Best Pickle of the Month Clubs

Pricing more than fair for specialty pickled veggies

The variety is what makes this pickle of the month club special - you won't just get regular pickles. Your deliveries might include creative options like their "Pickles Under the Ginfluence” brined in gin with rosemary and jalapeño, spicy pickled asparagus ("Asparagusto"), "Cauliflower Power," or "Unbeetables" (their heat-packed pickled beets). At $10 per jar for both subscription levels, these pickles fall right in the sweet spot of the pickle subscription market, which typically ranges from $9 to $19 per jar.

Shipping is costly, but you only pay it once

The bad news is that those prices will only be available if you're able to pick up your pickles locally. If you're having them shipped to CA, NV, AZ, NM, OR, or WA, expect to pay $40 for shipping (one-time, not for every delivery) for a Gherkin Club subscription. If you're shipping to any other US state, it'll be $60. A banner across the top of their website advertises "free shipping always on orders over $60 (US Mainland)”, but we don't think this applies to their pickle of the month club.

Website is missing important information

Pacific Pickle Works' website doesn't list any information about their shipping practices or best practices for storing or refrigerating your pickles. You might not be surprised to learn that we also didn't find an FAQ page, a return policy, or a satisfaction guarantee. That's unfortunate, because they ship their pickles in glass jars, which are nicer but more prone to breaking than plastic containers - so it would be nice to know what recourse you have if your pickle package turns up soaked in vinegar.

Best Pickle of the Month Clubs

Testimonials indicate the company handles complaints fairly

Their individual products don't appear to be listed with customer reviews, either. However, the website has a testimonials page, where one customer writes, "PPW has delicious pickles and excellent customer service. After a little mix up with my order, the company fixed it immediately and made me feel like my satisfaction with their products truly mattered.” Not having their official policies available in writing is definitely an oversight, but it appears PPW's regular customers are happy with their business practices, and we didn't find any angry rants elsewhere on the internet. PPW has earned an "A+” from the Better Business Bureau, too.

Products are exciting, but subscription plan leaves room for doubt

While Pacific Pickle Works offers some truly exciting and creative pickled treats, you'll want to think carefully before subscribing. If you're an adventurous eater who loves trying unique flavor combinations and different pickled vegetables, you might really enjoy the surprise element of their quarterly deliveries. However, if you're mainly interested in traditional cucumber pickles or prefer knowing exactly what you're getting, this might not be the club for you. Granted, they have limited pickle of the month club information available and have a somewhat risky nature of the surprise format. They've got great potential, but there's definitely room for improvement in terms of transparency and customer communication.

Month Club Store Review 3 Star Rating

Month Club Store

3 Star Rating
  • 3-month subscription with 2 jars monthly costs $69.99 ($12 per jar with shipping included)
  • Sources pickles from various gourmet, regional producers
  • Two different pickle varieties in each monthly shipment
  • Option to exclude sweet pickles from selection
  • Flexible delivery frequency options (monthly to quarterly)
  • Multiple subscription duration options (3, 6, 9, or 12 months)
  • Shipping costs included in pickle of the month club price
  • Refunds available for unused portion if canceled before month starts
  • "A+" BBB rating with 19 years in business
  • Gift message option available for subscriptions

Month Club Store has been in business for over 19 years under the parent company Food E Concepts, which oversees several other specialty food e-commerce sites. This is by no means a small business, but they say they're run by people passionate about what they do, and they compare favorably with their closest competitor in our review. Month Club Store offers 12 different food clubs, including their Pickle of the Month Club.

You can exclude sweet pickles, but not other flavor profiles

Month Club Store doesn't list weights for their pickle shipments, but the product image for their pickle of the month club shows considerable size variation. They source pickles from gourmet, regional producers and rotate among varieties like bread and butter, sour, spicy, dill, and more - so you get to try two new flavors each month. While you can opt to exclude sweet options from your shipment, you might end up with two jars of the same thing. Unfortunately, there's no option to exclude spicy pickles or other flavor profiles.

Best Pickle of the Month Clubs

Best for those who don't mind surprises

We also would have liked to see a list of Month Club Store's past pickle selections and their corresponding producers. As far as we can tell, you can't preview a shipment before it arrives or cancel if it includes something you know you won't like.

$12 per jar, shipping included

You can opt for 1 or 2 selections per month for durations of 3, 6, 9, or 12 months. You can also set the delivery frequency - a 3-month plan could be stretched out by receiving deliveries every other month, every third month, or every fourth month (quarterly). Prices range from $54.99 to $276.99 with shipping included, with slight savings for buying more at once. For a standard 3-month subscription with 2 jars of pickles each month, you'll pay $69.99, which averages out to about $12 a jar including shipping - a competitive price.

Limited tracking and delivery timeline information available

Because Month Club Store works with so many suppliers, you can't choose a specific delivery date for your pickles. You also won't get a tracking number, which is a drawback. However, they say their pickle of the month club boxes ship in the middle of the month and should arrive towards the end of the month. If you're gifting a subscription to someone else, you can include a personalized gift message with your order.

Get a refund for canceled orders

Month Club Store won't automatically renew your pickle of the month club subscription. if you need to cancel your pickle subscription before the end of your membership, they'll refund you the unused portion to your original payment method as long as you cancel before the first of the month.

Best Pickle of the Month Clubs

Zero testimonials to be found

Like its closest competitor, Month Club Store has been in business for 2 decades and has an "A+” rating from the Better Business Bureau (but no accreditation). Unlike their competitor, their Trustpilot listing is a ghost town - 0 customer reviews to be found. If you want to know what real dill enjoyers think of their Pickle of the Month Club, you're out of luck as there aren't even reviews on its product listing.

We need more information to give them a better rating

The Month Club Store's prices are about $7 cheaper per jar than their most similar rival pickle subscription service, but there are a lot more unanswered questions regarding selection and quality of service. We would only recommend this club if you're sure you're okay with your monthly pickle supply being a complete surprise, and we probably wouldn't recommend giving it as a gift.

Compare the Best Reviews

Continued from above...

Some pickle of the month clubs take a "surprise and delight" approach, curating unique selections each month from gourmet producers across the country. Others put you in control, letting you handpick your favorites from their available varieties - perfect for those who know exactly what they like or have specific dietary preferences. Options can range from traditional cucumber pickles to fermented vegetables like kimchi, asparagus, or beets.

Monthly pickle subscriptions typically range from $10 to $19 per jar, with most offering free (or reasonable) shipping. Some focus on traditional fermentation methods that promote gut health, while others specialize in creative flavor combinations and variety. Subscriptions usually include 2-4 jars per delivery, with jar sizes ranging from 16 to 32 ounces.

When shopping for a pickle of the month club, several factors deserve your consideration:

Pickle of the Month Club FAQ

Pickle of the month clubs are subscription services that deliver artisanal and gourmet pickles to your door regularly. You'll typically receive monthly shipments from small, family-owned kitchens across the US, offering unique flavors and varieties you won't find in regular stores.
Today's pickle clubs offer an impressive range of options, from traditional kosher dills to creative varieties like honey mustard, gin-brined, and wasabi-flavored pickles. Many also include other pickled vegetables and fermented foods. Some clubs let you customize selections or exclude certain varieties, while others operate as surprise boxes with new flavors each month.
Customization options vary by service. Some let you build your own monthly bundle from multiple varieties, including classic dill, spicy, and specialty flavors. Others curate surprise selections from small-batch producers, focusing on unique and exclusive varieties. Many services offer different subscription tiers or allow you to specify preferences like heat level.
Most pickle of the month clubs offer flexible subscription management. Some require a minimum commitment period, like 3 months, while others let you cancel anytime with credit or a refund for unshipped items. Many also offer the ability to skip deliveries or adjust delivery frequency to match your consumption rate.
Most pickle clubs offer good value when considering the quality and uniqueness of their products. Monthly subscriptions typically range from $10 to $19 per jar, with some clubs including free shipping. While this is more expensive than grocery store pickles, you're getting artisanal, small-batch products often made with premium ingredients and unique recipes you can't find elsewhere.
Quality guarantees vary between clubs. Some offer comprehensive satisfaction guarantees and will replace or refund orders with no questions asked, while others only cover shipping damage reported within a few days. The best clubs have clear policies about returns and replacements, especially for broken jars or leaking products.
Most pickle clubs use secure packaging methods including temperature-controlled containers, insulated mailers, or ice packs during warm weather. Some use plastic containers to prevent breakage, while others carefully package glass jars with protective materials. Delivery typically takes 2-7 days, depending on location and shipping method.
Storage life varies by preservation method. Traditional vinegar-brined pickles typically last 3-8 weeks after opening when refrigerated. Fermented varieties can last up to 6 months when properly stored. Most clubs recommend refrigerating their products upon arrival for optimal crunch and flavor, though some shelf-stable varieties don't require immediate refrigeration.
