We tried both methods and did not hear back from The Diamond Valet within 1 business day. We were somewhat disappointed in the lack of customer service despite calling within business hours. The site says it may take a minimum of 48 hours to hear back.
Get paid quickly
The Diamond Valet did not have a calculator available on the website, making it difficult to estimate the value when you want to sell diamonds through this service. You'll have to wait for that proper estimate. If you do get your estimate, you can sell your diamonds and get a payout through PayPal, Western Union, or cashier's checks. The fastest method is PayPal, which will get you your money within 24 hours.
Double box your kit
The Diamond Valet promises that when you ship in your diamonds (after the initial estimate period), you'll get free insured shipping with either FedEx or USPS. Your prepaid kit will be sent to you, and you'll have to double-box your item (required by The Diamond Valet). The prepaid label will include insurance.
