Not only will ingredients like magnesium help calm restless legs, but it can also help with promoting serenity and relaxation before bed and relieving stress for a better night's sleep. Vitalis Naturals specifically used magnesium malate to support nerve function: it can be easily absorbed by the intestinal walls without causing stomach issues.

A bottle of Restless Leg Support costs $39 if you make a one-time purchase or $35.10 with a subscription. Either way, the product qualifies for free shipping but is non-returnable because it falls under the "food” category, and there are safety concerns with sending it back.

Mediocre ratings

Vitalis Naturals does not have a rating from the Better Business Bureau. Restless Leg Support only had 52 ratings when we were reviewing the product, and they were pretty average. More people than we would have liked to see said that they had been using the product with no improvements whatsoever. A couple people said it worked for them, but we were not convinced that this is a widely-reliable solution based on what we saw.

Better options elsewhere

For ages 6+

LegCalm's purpose is specifically to relieve the urge to continually move your legs while resting or sleeping. It comes in capsule-form and each bottle contains 60 veggie capsules. It is recommended for anyone over the age of 6 and dosing will vary a bit based on age. For children between the ages of 6-11, it is recommended that they take 1 capsule 2 times daily for 1-2 weeks. For those 12 and older, 2 capsules should be taken 3 times daily after meals for 1-2 weeks. After the initial 1-2 weeks, dosage should be reduced to ½ or 1 capsule 2-3 times daily for maintenance.

Herbal, but not safe for all

A proprietary formula of butcher's broom root, horse chestnut seed, ginger root, and St. John's wort makes up the primary ingredients in LegCalm. The only two other ingredients are vegetable cellulose and organic rice flour. It is not safe to take while pregnant or nursing and there is a special warning that while taking St. John's wort, you should take extra care to avoid excessive exposure to sunlight or UV. You should also seek medical advice if you're currently taking any other drugs, just to be sure that they don't interfere with each other. These warnings have scared a few people off of LegCalm, since not all products come with so many specific potential issues.

You can purchase LegCalm in a 1- or 2-pack, depending on how much you want to have on-hand. The 1-pack is $39.95/bottle and the 2-pack is $64.94 or $32.47 per bottle, which is definitely a better value. It's also eligible for free shipping. If you're taking the recommended dose of LegCalm as an adult, you may be taking about 6 capsules per day, which means an entire bottle would only last 10 days. When you're ready to move into the maintenance phase, you might drop to 2-3 capsules per day, so even then a bottle would last 30 days at the very most. If you plan on using LegCalm long-term, this may end up being slightly expensive. You can subscribe to auto-shipments so you don't have to remember to repurchase the product, but there is no discount for doing so.

Poor customer reviews

Ultimately a red flag for us with LegCalm is that they don't have very many ratings, and the ones they do have aren't great. Not an appealing choice

We like a lot of what comes from Native Remedies, but LegCalm is not very appealing to us when stacked up against their competition. It's expensive, requires fairly heavy dosing, isn't safe while pregnant or nursing (which is a common time when people experience RLS), and requires you to be careful in the sun. Since it doesn't seem effective for many people, we'd definitely skip over LegCalm when looking for RLS relief.
