Best Roadside Service is operated by Nation Motorclub Inc., out of Boca Raton, Florida. If you live in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Hawaii, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Nevada, Texas, Tennessee, or Washington, your services are provided by Nation Motorclub Inc., rather than Best Roadside Service. They have been in business for over 50 years and have helped over 15 million customers.

Responsive customer service

According to Best Roadside Service, they will answer calls 24/7 and the average emergency response time is 42 minutes. Their service representatives must have a minimum of 3 years experience before working at Best Roadside Service in order to give the best customer experience possible. They are able to serve you in English, Spanish, and French.

Generous towing mileage

There are vehicle plans, individual plans, motorcycle plans, and commercial and fleet coverage through Best Roadside Service. All plans come with up to 75 miles of towing, 3 gallons of free fuel delivery, $50 toward winching services, 24 hour lockout services, flat tire changing, and $100 toward lost keys.

Vehicle and individual plans

Vehicle plans stay with the car, motorcycle, or scooter, so regardless of who is driving, you'll be able to call in Roadside Assistance if the vehicle is registered with a plan. This costs $65 a year with additional savings as you add more vehicles (for example, 2 vehicles is $120 per year). It includes 6 emergency calls per vehicle. Individual plans follow the member no matter what passenger vehicle they're in and even if they aren't driving. This costs $84.95/year and you can add another person for less than $20. The individual plan allows for up to 4 service calls and couple/family plans allow 6 calls shared between members.

Membership perks

As with other Roadside Assistance companies, Best Roadside Service provides perks with your membership that go well beyond needing help if your car breaks down. Your membership also gives you discounts on dining at certain restaurants, discounted hotel reservations, savings on cruises, automotive and theme park discounts. Some major brands they are partnered with include Carnival Cruises, Disney, Hertz, Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Baskin Robbins, Wyndham Hotels, and more.

Harsh return policy

If for any reason you need a refund, Best Roadside Service will prorated refunds for full, unused months minus a $10 administrative fee. If you've used any of the services, no refunds will be given on your yearly fee. This refund is much more strict than what you'll find through most other Roadside Assistance companies.

Good option for small families

Overall, we believe Best Roadside Service is a decent option for Roadside Assistance. They include generous towing mileage and have a fast response time to emergency calls. Their refund policy is harsh and the cost for big families with multiple children and vehicles might be steep once you add up the cost, but for single people or couples with one or two cars, we recommend looking into Best Roadside Service.

Roadside Assistance Company FAQ

The most commonly-used benefits of roadside assistance plans are 24-hour towing, flat tire repair, jump starting, lockout service, and emergency fuel delivery. Your plan may also include trip interruption assistance, emergency medical referrals if you need treatment while traveling, travel planning help and discounts on related services.
Not at all. Most plans range from $60 - $200 per year, depending on the level of coverage you select and the number of household members included on the contract.
This varies widely from provider to provider - and even from one plan to another from the same company. It's important that you read the terms and conditions very carefully, so that you're not left with a nasty surprise of extra charges or no coverage when you need it most. One common limitation is on towing: many plans have a mileage limit on a covered tow, and customers are responsible for paying any fees beyond that distance. You may also get a certain number of service calls per year, with little to no coverage once you've reached that limit.
Yes, sometimes: and if you already have coverage, you might not need to pay for a roadside assistance plan. But, you'll want to read your policy very carefully so that you'll know what's covered - and what isn't. For example, your roadside assistance with a new car might expire once you hit two years or 25,000 miles.
Most plans cover you throughout the US, as well as Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico and the USVI. But, if you're planning on trips outside of the United States, be sure your roadside assistance plan extends to your destination, and know how to contact your provider for help.
Yes! Some roadside assistance plans specialize in helping people with non-traditional vehicles like motorcycles and RVs (and even bicycles!).
Sometimes. Because most plans are charged monthly, most providers let you cancel with no penalty. You might not get your money back for any previous months of service, especially if you received any benefits during that time.
You'll need to consider which companies offer the coverage you want, compare prices, and check out customer reviews: the "best deal" might not be so great if the service falls short and you're waiting hours for help. It's a good idea to look up the provider's reputation with the Better Business Bureau as well.

You can customize your plans with additional add-ons like trip interruption coverage or even financial assistance with legal defense help if you get a speeding ticket. The cost for Roadside Assistance will depend on the plan you choose. Most plans allow for you to use your coverage regardless of who owns the car you're driving and you can easily get protection for the whole family.

When shopping for a Roadside Assistance provider, here are a few important things to consider:

  • Coverage details. There are major differences between most Roadside Assistance plans. Carefully read the details and cost of each option to decide which one will be most comprehensive and save you the most time and trouble!
  • Length of coverage. Do you want your plan to cover more than one vehicle? Do you want Roadside Assistance to be available well beyond your car's warranty expiration? Pay close attention to how long your Roadside Assistance is good for.
  • Provider's reputation. What do customers have to say about their experience with the provider so far? How long have they been in business? How prompt are they at getting to you once you make a call for assistance? Do they have a satisfaction guarantee?
