The process is smooth, almost fun, and very inclusive: it was the first Semaglutide provider we evaluated who didn't just ask about our assigned-at-birth sex, but also how we identify ourselves. You'll provide information about any ways you've been successful with dieting in the past (like intermittent fasting or keto), your current weight and goal weight. Next, you'll jump into a basic medical history, so that Found can determine what courses of treatment might be a good fit. That cost gives you in-depth consultations with board-certified providers who are experts in weight loss; you get up to 4 consultations during your first month, and up to 2 consultations each subsequent month. Also in your first 4 weeks, you get one-on-one expert coaching; afterwards, you'll still be able to access Found's network of coaches, just not necessarily the same one every time. The Found membership gives you entry into the community of other users pursuing better health and weight loss, and a mobile app with all the tools you'll need to make healthy changes.

Membership covers all non-Semaglutide meds

And about the medication part... your membership cost will include medications that are not GLP-1. So, maybe your team determines that Metformin is a good option; that will be shipped to you at no additional cost. However, if your physician thinks that Wegovy will give you your best shot (pun intended), Found will work with your insurance company to try and get it covered. You're on the hook for the out-of-pocket costs for it, but if that winds up being prohibitively expensive, Found will discuss alternative weight loss medications besides Semaglutide that could also work.

"A+” and accreditation from the BBB

We're glad to report that Found's headquarters earned an "A+” rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau just a few months before our evaluation. That should tell you how relatively new this company is (although the BBB pointed out that Found has been in business for 6 years). There were just under 100 complaints filed over the last 3 years, and from what we could see, most of them were from customers who didn't understand that the cost of the Semaglutide was separate from the membership fee. That's pretty standard for many Semaglutide providers on our list, and it's definitely not something that's hidden by Found.

Glowing praise from clients

Found also does much better than average when you look at customer feedback beyond the BBB. On Trustpilot, more than 71% of the 550+ reviews are a perfect 5 stars; only 16% of reviewers left a 1-star rating. People praised the thorough review of their medical history, the honest and supportive physicians and counselors, the quick replies to messages, and even the advocacy that Found has done when insurance stops covering a particular medication.

Their network has over 10,000 doctors who can be booked online (even for an in-person visit, if you prefer), bypassing insurance to bring you the most affordable medical care possible. And, if you're hoping to find a doctor willing to work with you on weight loss and possibly prescribe a Semaglutide medication, Sesame is a perfect place to start.

Pay no attention to the annoying pop-up

If you enter your email in the pop-up you get when you first visit the Sesame site, you'll get a 20% discount off your first appointment. You'd think that would be optional, but apparently not: no matter how we tried, we either had to log in or put in an email address in order to keep browsing the Sesame site. Annoying.

You choose your doctor

But, don't let that get in your way, especially if you like the control of choosing the provider who will walk you through your weight loss journey and potentially prescribe Semaglutide or another medication. Right from the start, you pick the practitioner, and we're here for it. Prefer a female MD? Someone with hundreds of 4- and 5-star reviews? Whatever matters most, you're easily able to select someone who fits your preferences. It's super-transparent to see exactly when they're available and how much you'll pay. Click on any provider you're considering, and go to "Service details” to see more information about his or her background, read reviews from other clients, and get a feel for how the program will operate.

$195+ for 3 months

When you sign up at Sesame, you're paying for a 3-month weight loss program. Pricing starts at $195, but you'll see some providers with costs in the $300+ range. That's still not bad, considering you get 90 days of unlimited messaging with your provider, help with getting your insurance to authorize any prescribed medication, plus nutrition and exercise guidance.

Name-brand medication only

The only Semaglutide that will be prescribed through Sesame is the name-brand kind. If your insurance doesn't cover the particular one your doctor chooses (or if you don't have insurance), brace yourself for the cost (typically $900+ per month). You can discuss that with the doctor when you have your virtual visit: you'll go over your medical history, weight goals, and a potential treatment plan. Your provider may order lab work to be done, just to check on your most recent "metabolic data” and get a clear picture of where you're at and what milestones would make good goals to demonstrate progress. And, at the end, you could be started on a GLP-1 injection like Ozempic, Wegovy, or Saxenda, or offered Rybelsus (Semaglutide in tablet form).

Could be your healthcare one-stop shop

And, if you'd like to expand your medical care into other specialties via Sesame, there's nothing stopping you. You may want to consider joining Sesame Plus: "for as little as 27 cents per day”, your membership gets you $10 savings on non-Member appointment pricing, one free lab/blood test per year, and visits for as low as $29. The prices we saw for the weight loss program were referenced as the cost with Sesame Plus, but we weren't charged anything extra when we booked the visit without it. Still, $99/year or $10.99/month is a good deal for those benefits. Just keep all of that in mind as you get started with Sesame.

Great reputation for providers and for the entire platform

Sesame's reputation should put you at ease too. The company has an "A+” and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau, for starters. And, with transparent ratings for the doctors themselves, Sesame makes it easy-breezy to choose a practitioner with an equally-glowing track record. (As an example, weight loss specialist and APRN Dawn Drewes had an average of 4.9 stars across nearly 1,000 ratings.)

Excellent choice for weight loss - with or without Semaglutide

Are you guaranteed to get Semaglutide here? No. Can you get excellent care and support as you work on losing weight, with the possibility of getting the right prescription as a tool if needed (and if it's affordable enough)? Absolutely. Compared with some Semaglutide options on our list, who pair you with a doctor at their discretion (or who just have one review your history online without even talking to you), Sesame is the best option if you want the say-so in who you're inviting to partner with you in your efforts.

If you're a man who has looked into getting a little help with ED in the past, you've probably heard of Ro already. While it's true that the company's main focus is on sexual health, this "Ro-bust” telemedicine platform also tackles weight loss through Semaglutide injections - both its own compounded variety and name-brand prescriptions like Ozempic.

Compounded and name-brand Semaglutide options

Before we get too far into our evaluation of Ro as a provider of Semaglutide, we want to point out an important detail that many people miss when they sign up here: Ro takes a two-part approach to using Semaglutide for weight loss, and each component has its own cost. The first part is, of course, the prescription: Semaglutide is only available by injection here, and their compounded version costs $299/month. You can also access name-brand Semaglutide (like Ozempic and Wegovy) here, but because of the ongoing shortages and the high costs ($900 to $1,000/month for Ozempic if not covered by insurance), you'll likely get started on treatment more quickly if you opt for the compounded kind.

Meds + support =$450+ per month

The second part of Ro's approach is called the "Body Program”. Ro believes that the most successful approach to weight loss includes not just an injection but also coaching tailored to your unique profile. You'll pay $99 for the first month, and that includes the physician review of your Ro application and medical profile. After the first month, Body costs $149/month for as long as you're using Semaglutide through Ro. Do the math, and you'll see that, at a minimum, Semaglutide at Ro is going to cost about $450 per month. Only you can decide if it's worth it.

Thorough review of your medical history

If you're still interested, click on the "Get started” button. You'll be asked what your goals are for the Body Program, along with your current height/weight. From there, you'll be asked to provide your email address, in order to view how much weight Ro thinks you can lose. In our case, Ro gave an estimated weight loss of 43 pounds within a year. From there, you'll be asked the basic questions to determine your eligibility: birthdate, zip code, current health insurance, whether or not you've seen your PCP in the last 12 months, plus extensive questions about certain conditions you may or may not have (type 2 diabetes, thyroid disease, etc.). We were really glad to see that Ro goes much further in depth with these questions than many of its rivals on our list: it gave us the impression that they're truly committed to making sure that Semaglutide is going to be a safe, healthy choice before prescribing it.

Ships out within 1-3 days after approval

If your questions lead Ro to determine you're a good candidate for Semaglutide, you'll be invited to finish your "online visit” (what they call the questionnaire process). Ro will verify your phone number and your identity, have a physician review your information, and then if you're cleared and your chosen type of Semaglutide is available, it'll ship out within 1-3 days. And, at any time after signing up with Ro, you can have a video call with your assigned physician: just request a visit in your online chat and you'll get a link to schedule it.

Great reputation, just read the program details

We're pleased to report that Ro has an "A+” rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau, with just 101 complaints filed with the BBB in the last three years. That may sound like a lot, but that perfect grade means that the company is doing an appropriate job of responding when problems are reported to the BBB. While most of those recent complaints were about the Body Program and Semaglutide, it was clear from reading them that the patients hadn't read the information that's clearly displayed on the Ro site - especially the parts about how the medication cost is separate from the Body Program, how some medications may not be in stock, and how prices can change based on availability and insurance coverage.

Hundreds of 5-star reviews

It's also a good sign that Ro's overall reputation elsewhere is positive. Across 1,000+ reviews at Trustpilot, for example, the company earns an average of 4 stars out of 5. You'll see many of the same gripes there (from people who didn't read the clearly spelled-out details about how the program works), but also plenty of compliments from users who say that Ro made it super-easy to get started on Semaglutide and to lose weight with the help of their Body Program support team.

Overall, Ro earns our recommendation and a strong rating. Compared with many rivals' services, we found them to be easy to understand and accessible as a Semaglutide provider. Yes, it's spendy, but most of these services are. PlushCare was designed to be "a doctor's office on your phone or computer”. The company has a network of physicians who can treat you virtually, saving you the time you'd ordinarily spend driving to an in-person visit. PlushCare has been featured by ABC, Forbes, Business Insider, and more, and is approved by URAC's Telemedicine Accreditation Program. So, let's take a look at your options if you're considering PlushCare as a Semaglutide provider.

Can be complicated

Using PlushCare is a bit more complicated than many of the services on our list. It's really designed to be used with insurance, but either way you'll be paying $16.99 for a monthly membership here. The first 30 days are free, but you'll still either have a copay (if PlushCare is in network on your health insurance plan) or a per-visit fee of $129 - including your initial telehealth visit to determine if Semaglutide is the right approach for you personally. But, that membership can be canceled at any time, you get discounts on lab tests and unlimited messages with your care team, and access to same-day appointments 7 days a week. Also, if PlushCare's provider winds up being unable to treat you, you'll get a full refund.

Full access to Semaglutide and alternatives

One benefit of using an all-around provider like PlushCare, though, is that you could potentially be offered a different medication - maybe your insurance won't cover Ozempic, but they're okay with Mounjaro or Contrave. Or perhaps there's a shortage of one of the GLP-1s but not the other, and your provider says it's safe to switch. Depending on where you live, PlushCare's practitioners also have access to the compounded versions of Semaglutide, so it's not entirely "name-brand or bust” here. If you live outside of California, PlushCare charges $299/month for compounded Semaglutide; within CA, it's priced at $399/month. Remember that those prices are in addition to your monthly membership and any visit copays or fees.

They make sure you're a good candidate first

We like that PlushCare tries to make it easy to determine if you're going to be a candidate for their program. When you click the button to book an appointment, you'll be asked whether or not you have certain medical conditions, along with your height and weight to determine BMI. If you pass that checkpoint, you'll continue on to actually booking an appointment; but, don't worry, during your visit you'll speak with the doctor about any other underlying conditions. The doctor will also order labs and a blood pressure check, just to be on the safe side.

You choose the doctor

The process continues by asking if you're paying with or without insurance. You'll confirm in which state you'll be during the appointment, so you can be matched with a physician who's licensed there. Next, you'll see a list of doctors with available times. We love that PlushCare puts the power in your hands, to choose a provider you think you'll feel comfortable with. We did notice, though, that compared to PlushCare's most similar rival on our list, there were fewer practitioners to choose from, and they didn't have nearly as many ratings (1,000+ ratings on the other platform for some doctors vs. 10-60 ratings here). But, you can click on any doctor that you think might be a good fit and learn more about him or her.

Pay for your visit and you're good to go

When you click the "Book” button, you'll be asked to create a PlushCare account. If you're paying with insurance, be aware that the list defaults to the bigger names in the industry (like Aetna and UHC), but you can type in your insurer if they're not on the list. Or, opt to pay without insurance; you'll be billed $129 for the visit (and refunded if it doesn't work out, as we already mentioned). All that's left to do is show up for your video visit, talk with the provider, and see if Semaglutide is on the table as an option.

Mixed reviews

Not everyone is a fan of PlushCare, unfortunately. While the Better Business Bureau has accredited the company, it's only offered a "B” rating, mostly because of the 335 complaints filed over the last 3 years. When you read through those complaints, you'll see a bunch of issues with insurance: visits that should be covered as an in-network benefit but aren't, lab work or meds with no covered lab/pharmacy they can be sent to, extra charges after insurance processes a claim (or outright refuses to). You might do better with PlushCare if you just don't use your insurance, but then you'll be paying quite a bit more too.

Good, but room to grow

We're willing to give PlushCare an above average rating. There's a lot of flexibility with how you use the service: insurance or cash pay, brand-name or compounded Semaglutide, and so on. We also appreciate the full refund if your provider determines that he or she can't offer the weight loss care and medication you're seeking. But, compared with its most closely-related rival on our list (which ranks as our #2 Semaglutide provider), PlushCare comes up a bit short. It's not a bad option on the whole, but you may want to save it as a backup choice to its higher-ranked competitor.

Only name-brand weight loss medications here

Through Noom Med, you could be prescribed any one of several weight loss-focused medications. These include familiar names like Ozempic, Rybelsus, Wegovy, and Saxenda, among others. However, there's no compounded Semaglutide option here, so you'll be limited to the brand-name medications. That has implications for cost, so keep that in mind.

Lots of help getting started

When you sign up for Noom Med, you'll have an in-depth evaluation that allows you to learn more about your unique biology and psychology, so that a custom plan can be created for you. You'll be paired with a practitioner via 1:1 video calls; he or she will review your lab work (which will be ordered before you get started on any medications) along with your medical history. If Semaglutide or another prescription is selected, the Noom support team can help you figure out your insurance and refills if you need a bit of a hand.

Your input matters

Are you eligible? Noom will ask you several questions to make that call, like how much weight you'd like to lose, your sex and gender (and points to Noom for being very inclusive in their wording there), and height/weight. You'll also be asked to indicate any preference you might have for your medication: are you determined to go with a GLP-1, or are you willing to go with whatever your clinician recommends? As Noom puts it, "your input matters too”. All of that goes into your "weight loss profile”

Find out how quickly you can meet your goal

On the next screen, you'll fill out the details for "biology and clinical eligibility”. There are a lot of promo screens scattered throughout the process, but in general you'll be asked about any conditions that might be contraindicated for using a medication, what you've tried in the past for weight loss, and so forth. You'll also be asked for your zip code: Noom Med doesn't spell out which states they're allowed to serve, but don't be caught off-guard if yours isn't on their list. In our case, Noom Med decided we were eligible and that they could help us meet our weight loss goal within 8 months.

You'll need 10+ minutes to answer all the questions

But wait, there's more! Next, you'll be asked to fill out details about your eating habits and behaviors, so that Noom can give you the behavioral/psychological support to create new routines. They come right out and say it: "typically, ⅔ of weight lost with GLP-1s is regained after stopping.” Ouch. Keep answering the questions, though, so that Noom can create your behavioral profile and use it to customize your plan. All told, expect it to take you 10+ minutes to work your way through Noom's profile builder.

Pay upfront for the first month

What will you pay for Noom? We'll tell you the pricing we were given, but we've evaluated this app enough to know that it can vary - from person-to-person and even over time (if you don't sign up right away, Noom may send you a better offer via email). But, here's what we got: $69 as a one-time, "due today” fee for a virtual visit with a clinician, lab work, and potentially a prescription (which would be based on our needs and our insurance coverage). That gave us access to the Noom app for the first 30 days. If we didn't cancel within a month, we would then be subscribed to 6 months of ongoing treatment and support at $473 (the equivalent of $78.83/month). That part gave us continued access to the app, check-ins with the clinician, and the renewals of any prescription we'd be given.

Lots of complaints about billing

Noom has earned an "A+” and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau, which we're always glad to see. However, we'd point out that the high grade is in spite of having more than 1,000 complaints filed with the BBB in the last 3 years, which we're never happy to see. Customers would warn you to pay close attention to the subscriptions that auto-renew, and prepare to be very determined to fight for a refund if you have any issues.

Great fit for some, not for others

Does Noom Med work? For some, yes. If you've never tried any kind of weight loss plan and you like the idea of really digging into why you have the habits you do - with the possibility of an extra boost from Semaglutide or another medication - you might really enjoy Noom's structure. On the other hand, if you already understand psychology in general (or yours in particular), the Noom app might not have much to offer you. And, without the option of getting compounded Semaglutide, you could be spending a lot to get the brand-name variety if your insurance doesn't approve it.

Above average and worth a look

As a Semaglutide provider, Noom Med gets an above-average rating. We like the "wraparound” services of medication + behavioral support, and spending just $69 to try the app for a month and potentially start using Semaglutide is pretty attractive. However, the difficulties people have had with canceling subscriptions and getting help from customer service is a mark against Noom Med. Give it a look and see what you think, but also consider the higher-ranking competitors on our list.

Minimum 3-month commitment

In order to access Semaglutide with Everlywell, you'll have to sign up for their Weight Care+ program. It costs $49 for the first month and $139/month after, with a minimum commitment of 3 months (though some plans may have a 12-month requirement). What's included? You'll work with a certified nurse-practitioner - which, by the way, is different from many rivals' services that partner you with a board-certified physician - to go over your weight goals and the results of your required blood testing. The initial lab work will be ordered by the practitioner and can be done at any nearby Quest lab; if you've had the same lab work run (maybe for an annual physical) within the last 6 months, you can upload those results instead.

Your plan might not include Semaglutide

All of those elements are how it'll be determined if you're eligible for Semaglutide, or if they recommend a different weight loss medication (or none at all). Whichever route your weight loss plan goes, you'll continue to interact with a clinician (not always the same one you started with), get lifestyle support and recommendations, along with any other prescriptions you may need for related conditions (like prediabetes or high cholesterol).

Expect monthly costs around $338

But, let's say that you turn out to be a great candidate for Semaglutide. Everlywell will work with your insurance to get a name-brand option covered; otherwise, you might be signed up for their compounded version at $199/month. That's in addition to the Weight Care+ membership, so figure on paying about $338 per month for both services together.

Extra perks at the 3-month mark

Once you've been on the program for at least 3 months, you can choose one complimentary at-home lab test or supplement each quarter. Those include a Heart Health Test, an HbA1c test, a Cholesterol & Lipids test, or a 3-month supply of daily multivitamin gummies.

Specific terms for cancellations

What if you want to cancel? You won't get a refund for prior months under any circumstances, but there are a few reasons you could cancel before your commitment period has finished. If you have new lab results or other factors that come up after your first consultation or thereafter, and they make you ineligible for the Weight Care+ program, you'll be allowed to cancel. Also, if it turns out that your insurance company won't cover your prescribed medications and/or the medications become too costly for you to proceed, Everlywell will let you out of the contract.

Good company reputation

Let's take a look at the company's reputation now. Everlywell has an "A+” rating with the Better Business Bureau. Considering the wide variety of tests and products the company sells, having 109 complaints over the last 3-year period is pretty impressive. Plus, most of those complaints had nothing to do with Semaglutide.

Not a lot of feedback specific to Semaglutide

Then again, most of Everlywell's ratings (both at the BBB and elsewhere) have nothing to do with Semaglutide either. Can you really expect Everlywell to be an expert in this field, when the majority of its products are blood tests and other unrelated items? Maybe not. Even looking at the company's reputation overall, we're not super-encouraged. It averaged 3.3 stars out of 5 on Trustpilot when we looked recently, with more people putting down a 1-star rating than a perfect 5-star score (45% vs 39%). The average on Google is better (4.4 stars), but still no comments on Semaglutide and mixed feedback regarding the customer service experience at Everlywell as a whole.

Too new to rank higher than "average”

There are some pros and cons to using Everlywell to access Semaglutide. We're happy to see that they work with you to determine, from a detailed, science-based perspective (lab tests) if you're a good candidate, rather than just tossing a prescription in your direction and hoping for the best. It's also a plus that they've got more options than just a name-brand GLP-1 or just a compounded Semaglutide: whatever approach is best for your unique profile and overall well-being, Everlywell wants to get you there. However, it's obvious that this isn't a tried-and-true service yet, and there's not as much lifestyle coaching offered as we've seen with rival Semaglutide-plus-membership plans we've evaluated. We're hopeful that we'll hear more about Everlywell's Weight Care+ program in the future, so we've given them a cautiously optimistic rating for now.

IVY RX provides a number of direct-to-you prescriptions, treating everything from aging and skin conditions to sexual health and weight loss. The specialty here is definitely anti-aging products, but as weight gain is unfortunately a part of getting older for many of us, IVY RX added a variety of medications to its repertoire that can help with losing those extra pounds - including Semaglutide.

Oral and injectable Semaglutide available here

IVY RX has two different formats for prescribing Semaglutide: compounded injectable and oral sublingual drops. You'll pay about the same for either one ($295 vs. $297), so that shouldn't be a factor in which one you choose. That will likely come down to how comfortable you feel with administering an injection, and we're glad that this Semaglutide provider offers both options. Be aware that they don't show both options on the same page, so you'll have to click around a bit if you want to look at both Semaglutide delivery mechanisms.

Can modify your dosage if you're already using Semaglutide

With either one, you'll get started by clicking on "Order Now”. Answer some questions about your goals, whether or not you're currently taking a GLP-1 medication, height and weight. You'll also provide your name and email address to create your IVY RX account. Your recommended dosage will then appear on the screen - for example, when we started out looking to go the sublingual oral Semaglutide route, we were given a 1mg/mL dose. However, if you're already on some form of Semaglutide and you'd like the doctor to consider a different dosage (one that's closer to what you're currently taking, instead of starting from scratch), you can click on "Modify your plan” to make the request.

Tangerine-flavored drops, anyone?

You can also click on "Learn More” to get a better idea of how your chosen form of Semaglutide works. Again, looking at the sublingual drops, that section explained how it's administered once a day by placing the drops under the tongue 30 minutes before the first meal of the day. You hold it in your mouth for two minutes, and then swallow; lucky for you, these drops are tangerine-flavored.

Reviewed and shipped with no face-to-face "visit”

Finally, you'll enter your credit card information. You won't pay anything until your Semaglutide prescription is reviewed and approved by an IVY RX physician, but be aware that you may not hear anything between submitting your payment info and your medication shipping out.

Where are the in-depth health questions?

Like most Semaglutide providers, IVY RX gives you a no-cost doctor review of your profile. However, it surprised us that there was nothing in the process prior to entering our credit card info that asked us about our medical history. That left us wondering how IVY RX makes sure that there are no contraindications for patients interested in Semaglutide; hopefully it happens later in the process... somewhere... but we didn't want to enter our credit card information just in case they went through and processed it without asking those important questions about our health.

Semaglutide side hustle?

When we couldn't find a listing with the Better Business Bureau for IVY RX, we went digging to see what we could turn up. We determined that this service is part of a company called Medical Monitoring Solutions: "a clinical development consulting company that specializes in oncology... [providing] monitoring support to biotech companies of all sizes.” That doesn't really sound like an expert in Semaglutide, but okay... We still didn't find a BBB listing under that name, but the MMS website was enough to reassure us that the people behind IVY RX are real. But, it did leave us wondering if the company got into Semaglutide (and the other prescriptions it offers, like those for treating erectile dysfunction and aging) just as a lucrative side hustle. You be the judge.

Can't read the actual reviews

At the time of our evaluation, there were over 325 reviews for IVY RX's Semaglutide injections and over 250 for the sublingual drops on the website. But, aside from a few hand-picked testimonials featured on the product page, there was no way to see the actual reviews (and they were suspiciously all 5 stars, if the displayed rating average was an accurate representation).

Not as experienced as some rivals

On Trustpilot, there were only 100 reviews for IVY RX, averaging a noteworthy 4.4 stars out of 5. However, we noticed that they were all from just a few months prior to our review - which solidifies our impression that this is a much newer kid on the block, so to speak. Most of those reviews were positive, but we did spot some complaints about the Semaglutide being less effective here than what people had gotten through other providers, or that their medication wasn't kept at the right temperature through the delivery process (and it was hot to the touch after sitting in a Nevada mailbox).

Room for improvement

At the end of the day, we weren't that confident that IVY RX was going to do a great job at getting us started with Semaglutide in a safe way. It seems that their entry into providing this particular medication is fairly new, and maybe they'll revamp their processes a bit (especially in gathering medical info before asking for the credit card number). We also need to see those 5-star reviews they're showing on their website before we can 100% believe that they're legit. Until then, however, we recommend you look at the higher-ranked Semaglutide providers on our list first.

Strut wants to take the stress out of healthcare for certain... sensitive topics. Hair loss? Sexual dysfunction? Weight loss? Those are some of the conditions that this company was designed to address, in a way that would allow people to get help without the stigma they may associate with talking about those problems. All of the products offered through Strut are made in US-based, accredited pharmacies, and treatment plans are developed by US-based doctors. Their motto is "We're here to help you take care of yourself.”

Lozenge or injection?

And yes, Semaglutide is one of the prescriptions that Strut is proud to offer. You've got two delivery mechanisms to choose from here: a daily lozenge underneath your tongue (called a "troche”, pronounced TROW-key) or a once-weekly injection. The lozenges come in varying strengths, from 250mcg to 3000mcg, and both include 5mg of vitamin B6. Pricing starts at $149/month for the lowest dosage and goes up to $349/month at the highest end. The injectable only comes in one dosage, 2.5mg of Semaglutide and 10mg per mL of vitamin B6, and it's priced at $289 per month. (Shipping is always free at Strut.)

Look for discounts

You might get excited when you first visit the Strut website and see that you can get a 15% discount on your subscription. But, before you rush to give them your email, read the smaller print and see that Semaglutide (along with Enclomiphene and Allergy products) is on the exclusion list for that promo. But, there was a separate promo pop-up for 15% off a prescription, and the site applied it automatically to our checkout.

Not the smoothest start

So, what is the process like for getting started with Semaglutide through Strut. First, click on the "Start for Free” button...in theory. When we clicked on it, we were directed to choose a treatment, but nothing showed up there. Instead, we had to go to the Weight Loss section (under For Him or For Her, either works) and click "Buy Now” under the Semaglutide description. From there, you'll have to sign up for a Strut account, providing all of the basics like your name, date of birth, phone number and address, and so on. We weren't super-stoked to see that we had to agree to receive marketing text messages in order to continue with our sign-up, though.

You choose, but doc will still say okay or not

Right on the next page, you'll get into it: do you want injectable or lozenge Semaglutide? It says if you're not sure, you should choose the recommended option; the physician who finalizes your treatment plan will make the determination.

Glitchy website experience

At that point in the sign-up process, we got a big pop-up window that boldly said "null” and asked us to click on "OK” or "Cancel”. What?! Assuming that doesn't happen to you (or that it doesn't make you run screaming from this Semaglutide provider in favor of another), the next step is answering questions about your medical history. (And we got another "null” pop-up at that time!)

Options depend on location

The first question isn't about your medical history, but rather about where you live: at the time of our review, the lozenge format wasn't available in AR, and the injections were available everywhere but MS and CA. There were also some stipulations about the vial size; in some states, you can only get a 90-day supply, so prepare for a higher price tag at checkout. After yet another "null” pop-up (!), we finally got to the normal medical questions: sex at birth, whether or not we're currently using any GLP-1 medication, current height and weight, weight loss goals, current medications, and so forth. If you pre-qualify for Semaglutide, your profile will be sent along to one of Strut's physicians for review.

No actual doctor visit required (or offered... )

From there, expect to have to verify your identity. It'll start with a text message, and then you'll confirm your name and address as it appears on your government-issued ID. Once you've confirmed your identity, you'll review your cart (the Semaglutide option you selected), enter your shipping and payment info, and check out. Wondering where the doctor's part comes in? A Strut physician will review all of your information; if he or she approves it with no further questions, your Semaglutide will ship out with no interaction with that doctor. You have the option of messaging the doctor directly in your Strut account, but we would have liked to see the option to speak with a physician before the prescription was ready to go (especially since there are no guaranteed refunds after the pharmacy processes the order). Fortunately, you get free, unlimited doctor follow-ups while you're using Semaglutide with Strut.

BBB's "C” rating seems a bit harsh at first

Now, let's take a look at Strut's reputation. We weren't happy to see that Strut Health LLC has a "C” rating from the Better Business Bureau. However, that's because of the company's failure to respond to just one of the two complaints filed with the BBB - hardly evidence of some kind of gross misconduct. Plus, those two complaints were over a year old, and Strut hasn't received any additional ones in the past year. That's not worthy of a just-average "C” in our book, frankly.

Plenty of frustrated customers

Then again, over on Trustpilot, the ratings are actually "just average” at 3.3 stars out of 5 across 700+ reviews. We didn't see any that mentioned Semaglutide; most of them dated back to before that was really "a thing”. Still, we think it's telling that there were quite a few comments on the lackluster customer service at Strut. People are angry about recurring refills that they didn't want (and that they didn't see mentioned at any time during the signup process), and others said that they got nothing but dead ends when trying to take advantage of the "cancel anytime” policy. Not exactly a track record that makes us feel confident in Strut's reliability as a provider of Semaglutide.

You've got better options than this

All of that combines to make a below-average ranking for Strut. The website glitches definitely gave us pause, and we're just not seeing anyone out there raving about their experience with the company, especially with respect to Semaglutide. Our rating for Strut is meant to convey our lack of confidence, along with our recommendation to get your Semaglutide from a provider that's a lot higher up on our list.

If you've never heard of Henry, don't worry - it's pretty new to the industry, operating as a healthcare subscription platform for a variety of endocrine conditions (including overweight). You'll have to start the sign-up process to see if Henry's services are available in your state, but they're adding new locations regularly - so if you try to sign up today and it's not offered where you live, be sure to check back in the future.

All compounded Semaglutide

Henry is one of the most affordable and versatile Semaglutide options on the market. You can opt for weekly injections for $297/month or dissolvable tablets or drops for $249/month. Either way, if you get the same promo we found when we were on the Henry site, you'll get $100 off your first month's prescription. Just keep in mind that it's a compounded version, not a brand-name GLP-1 like Wegovy, Ozempic, or Saxenda.

Not as much support as rival options

So, what do you get for that monthly price? It includes all of your prescribed Semaglutide, but not much else as far as we could see. Some Semaglutide providers require an additional subscription, in order to provide health coaching, a food tracking app, and other traditional weight loss support tools. We didn't see any of that here, and despite advertising "regular” 1:1 visits with a provider and being able to follow up with him or her any time you want help, Henry didn't really go into the details other than the initial video telehealth visit required to get started. That could be really appealing if you're more of a DIY person: "Just give me the prescription and let me do the rest myself.”

You're really going to be interested in Henry as a Semaglutide provider when you see their satisfaction guarantee. If you're not 100% satisfied with your results or with your experience in any way within the first 30 days, you can request a full refund with no questions asked.

Available in most states

Here's how it works. You'll click the "Get Started” button by either the oral or injectable Semaglutide option on the Henry site (you can change your mind later on the format, or your practitioner may have other thoughts too). We chose the injectable Semaglutide, since it's the easiest way to compare apples-to-apples with most of the rivals on our list. You'll be asked to select your state of residence; while most places are included, we spotted a few that were missing (Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, and West Virginia, among others).

Pick the time but not the provider

Next, you'll schedule a time to have a video telehealth visit; we were able to set an appointment about 4 days out (and it might have been sooner if we weren't coming up on a weekend when we did our evaluation). When you select the time, you'll see the name and photo of your assigned practitioner; ours was a PA, but you could be matched with an MD or a CNP as well. You'll have to pay in advance and complete your intake forms before your visit, so make sure you choose an appointment that leaves you enough time to get that done.

No long-term commitment required

During your video visit, your Henry provider will go over your medical history, discuss your weight loss goals, and determine if it's medically appropriate to start you on Semaglutide. The provider will also determine if you should get your medication in the mail on a 30-, 60-, or 90-day schedule. There's no specific time commitment required here, but Henry does want to be a part of your care for the long haul.

Long wait times nullify the satisfaction guarantee

All of that sounds pretty amazing, right? If only Henry actually delivered. We went to check out this company's reputation, expecting nothing but good things. We were disappointed. Under the name of its parent company, Adonis Health Inc., Henry has the worst possible rating from the Better Business Bureau. That "F” was given for two main reasons: having 20 complaints filed against Henry in the less-than-a-year timeframe that its file was opened, and failing to respond to several of them. We looked through those complaints, and every single one we saw was specifically about the Semaglutide program (even though Henry does offer other treatments). People have been billed hundreds of dollars, only to wind up still waiting on meds for weeks - which effectively makes that 30-day satisfaction guarantee worth nothing. How can you know if you're satisfied with your Semaglutide experience and with Henry as a whole if you don't even get started until day 20 or later? One customer said in her (or his?) complaint that they did call on day 28 to say "I don't think this is working”; they were just told it would take a few months to see results and were discouraged from canceling the program.

Positive feedback is usually for the initial experience

We might have been more swayed by the feedback at Trustpilot -a 4.7-star average across 5,000+ reviews - if the vast majority of compliments didn't come from people leaving feedback after just the initial experience with the clinician. We don't doubt that the people doing the intake for Henry are patient, kind, and knowledgeable, especially since that's what we see from so many customers' comments. But after that? From what we can tell, Henry can often be a big disappointment. In our opinion, they would do perfectly fine if they didn't make so many promises: most competitors don't offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, largely because they know that Semaglutide is a medication that can take time to show results. But because they do offer that guarantee window, it's really noticeable when they fail to deliver on it.

Too many problems to earn our recommendation

Henry winds up really low on our list of Semaglutide providers. With something as sensitive and tricky as weight loss and medications, you want to know that you're working with a company that has excellent customer service at every stage of the process. Henry starts out strong but seems to fall down on the job after the initial consult and treatment. Plus, no one wants to hear that the company they're entrusting with their health has earned a failing grade from the BBB. If Henry can fix some of those issues in the future, we'll gladly reevaluate our score, but for now, we only give this Semaglutide provider a lower rating.

Calibrate takes a holistic approach to weight loss. Pop-up savings

When we first landed on the Calibrate website, we got an offer to save $15 if we provided our email to join their "community”. That seems like a very small drop in the bucket compared to what you'll spend here. But more on that later...

Well-rounded approach to weight loss and medication

The process to start with Calibrate is straightforward. You'll begin with their eligibility quiz and sign up for an account. From there, you'll need to download the Calibrate app to your smartphone and fill out their longer health intake form. Within the first few days, you'll have a one-on-one coaching session via Zoom and start working on the Calibrate curriculum: it'll teach you how to make lasting changes by attending to your nutrition, sleep, exercise, and emotional health. At the same time, you'll also have some basic blood work done - see what we mean by "holistic approach”? When your lab results are in, you'll then have a virtual appointment with a Calibrate doctor to discuss the findings and chart your weight loss course.

Only brand-name Semaglutide prescribed

That's where Semaglutide may come into the picture. If your Calibrate doctor determines that a prescription medication would be an appropriate, effective, and safe part of your Metabolic Reset, one will be prescribed for you. Calibrate only offers name-brand options like Ozempic and Wegovy, plus other similar medications like Zepbound and Rybelsus; you won't find compounded Semaglutide here.

Minimum commitment of 3 months

When you sign up for Calibrate, you're making a minimum commitment of three months at $199/month. That's a big change over how this platform used to work; we saw previous customers mentioning sign-up fees of $1,000 to $2,000 for a year-long program and being charged immediately.

No refunds if you can't get the Semaglutide

However, that monthly fee doesn't include the cost of your Semaglutide. Calibrate will work with your insurance to get your lab work and prescriptions covered, assuring you that copays are "typically $25/month or less after any deductible is met”. But, we've seen feedback that indicates you might be on the hook for hundreds of dollars a month for your Semaglutide if your insurance doesn't wind up covering it. Also, if there's a shortage - a common problem with brand-name Semaglutide, hence the reason why so many rival providers on our list offer a compounded version - you're not going to get a refund for the membership you've already paid for here.

Refunds only if you meet the commitment terms

In fact, the only way we've seen to get any kind of refund is if you don't lose 10% of your starting weight after being on the Calibrate program for a year, with or without medication. (That's probably why you get a smart scale included with your welcome kit. It connects to the Calibrate app.) You'll only get 50% of your total paid membership fees back, and you have to have complied with the terms of the "Calibrate Commitment” to be eligible (which includes attending all appointments, tracking your weight at least 5 days a week, tracking "red” foods at least 5 days a week, and so on).

No good news reputation-wise

We have huge concerns about Calibrate after seeing the company's listing with the Better Business Bureau. At the time of this evaluation, the BBB showed Calibrate as "Not Rated”, with 400 complaints closed in the last year and over 1,100 in the last three years. There was also an alert for the business: the BBB said there has been a pattern of complaints that hasn't yet been cleared. Many of those complaints are from people who were charged right away ($1,000+) but had delays in getting their prescribed medications. Others say that they had a hard time getting responses from Calibrate - from their medical team, from billing, from support, etc.

Evenly split between love/hate reviews

Going beyond the BBB, client reviews are pretty evenly divided: on Trustpilot, for example, 43% gave Calibrate a perfect 5-star score, while 38% only left a 1-star rating. It sounds like if you're able to get Calibrate covered by your insurance, you'll probably love the experience and have a great connection with your assigned coach. On the other hand, if you have the same issues that those 1-star reviewers did (usually related to insurance and the process itself), you'll be wishing you never heard of Calibrate. Here's one rant that we think is particularly telling: "I joined Calibrate several months ago and paid a hefty fee ($2,000). It took months to get my first and only doctor appointment so far and haven't received any medication yet. To add insult to injury, I've now been waiting on Zoom for 40 minutes (out of a 45-minute appointment) for my first coaching session.” Ouch!

Last choice among Semaglutide providers

Calibrate seems good in theory, and it's true that some subscribers have gotten the results they wanted by making the commitment to the Metabolic Reset program. Unfortunately, if you're absolutely sure you want Semaglutide, there's no guarantee you'll get it here (especially if you don't have insurance, or if your insurer says "no”). And, with such a poor track record with the Better Business Bureau and numerous complaints about customer service, Calibrate may be a disappointment to you.
