As part of their overall panorama of "health and wellness solutions”, they've added access to Semaglutide to your options here. Minimum 3-month commitment
In order to access Semaglutide with Everlywell, you'll have to sign up for their Weight Care+ program. It costs $49 for the first month and $139/month after, with a minimum commitment of 3 months (though some plans may have a 12-month requirement). What's included? You'll work with a certified nurse-practitioner - which, by the way, is different from many rivals' services that partner you with a board-certified physician - to go over your weight goals and the results of your required blood testing. The initial lab work will be ordered by the practitioner and can be done at any nearby Quest lab; if you've had the same lab work run (maybe for an annual physical) within the last 6 months, you can upload those results instead.
Your plan might not include Semaglutide
All of those elements are how it'll be determined if you're eligible for Semaglutide, or if they recommend a different weight loss medication (or none at all). Whichever route your weight loss plan goes, you'll continue to interact with a clinician (not always the same one you started with), get lifestyle support and recommendations, along with any other prescriptions you may need for related conditions (like prediabetes or high cholesterol).
Expect monthly costs around $338
But, let's say that you turn out to be a great candidate for Semaglutide. Everlywell will work with your insurance to get a name-brand option covered; otherwise, you might be signed up for their compounded version at $199/month. That's in addition to the Weight Care+ membership, so figure on paying about $338 per month for both services together.
Extra perks at the 3-month mark
Once you've been on the program for at least 3 months, you can choose one complimentary at-home lab test or supplement each quarter. Those include a Heart Health Test, an HbA1c test, a Cholesterol & Lipids test, or a 3-month supply of daily multivitamin gummies.
Specific terms for cancellations
What if you want to cancel? You won't get a refund for prior months under any circumstances, but there are a few reasons you could cancel before your commitment period has finished. If you have new lab results or other factors that come up after your first consultation or thereafter, and they make you ineligible for the Weight Care+ program, you'll be allowed to cancel. Let's take a look at the company's reputation now. Everlywell has an "A+” rating with the Better Business Bureau. Considering the wide variety of tests and products the company sells, having 109 complaints over the last 3-year period is pretty impressive. Plus, most of those complaints had nothing to do with Semaglutide.
Not a lot of feedback specific to Semaglutide
Then again, most of Everlywell's ratings (both at the BBB and elsewhere) have nothing to do with Semaglutide either. Can you really expect Everlywell to be an expert in this field, when the majority of its products are blood tests and other unrelated items? Maybe not. Even looking at the company's reputation overall, we're not super-encouraged. It averaged 3.3 stars out of 5 on Trustpilot when we looked recently, with more people putting down a 1-star rating than a perfect 5-star score (45% vs 39%). The average on Google is better (4.4 stars), but still no comments on Semaglutide and mixed feedback regarding the customer service experience at Everlywell as a whole.
Too new to rank higher than "average”
There are some pros and cons to using Everlywell to access Semaglutide. We're happy to see that they work with you to determine, from a detailed, science-based perspective (lab tests) if you're a good candidate, rather than just tossing a prescription in your direction and hoping for the best. It's also a plus that they've got more options than just a name-brand GLP-1 or just a compounded Semaglutide: whatever approach is best for your unique profile and overall well-being, Everlywell wants to get you there.
