The Best Snoring Products

Which Snoring Solution is the Best?

Snoring, that seemingly innocent nighttime symphony, can often be a source of frustration for both the snorer and their sleep-deprived partner. While the occasional snore is considered normal, chronic and disruptive snoring can lead to a host of issues, from sleep disturbances to relationship strains. So, what causes this nocturnal cacophony, and how can you find relief?

At its core, snoring is the result of restricted airflow during breathing while asleep. The sound is produced when the flow of air causes the tissues in the throat to vibrate, creating that characteristic noise. One common culprit is the relaxation of muscles in the throat and tongue, which narrows the airway. As you breathe, the narrowed space can lead to those audible vibrations that echo through the night.

Top Consumer Reviews Best-In-Class Blue Ribbon Award

Over a decade ago, the Snore Reliever Company introduced VitalSleep with a mission to offer an affordable and personalized solution for better sleep among snorers and their partners. More than 600,000 customers worldwide have successfully used this jaw-positioning appliance to finally rest well at night (and to stop bothering the person sleeping next to them).

Customized fit in men's and women's sizes

Crafted from durable outer plastic and inner thermoplastic, VitalSleep's anti-snoring mouthpiece undergoes rigorous testing to ensure it is safe, non-toxic, and suitable for those with sensitivities. The fitting process involves a simple 60-second immersion in water, allowing the device to mold to your teeth for a customized fit. We're also pleased to point out VitalSleep's expansion in sizing options, with choices for both men and women. Either size still comes with medical-grade adjustable screws for precise adjustment.

Affordable pricing and savings when you bundle products

Pricing proves to be a strong point for VitalSleep, with the anti-snoring mouthpiece priced at $69.95 - lower than many competitors. For just $10 more, you can get the mouthpiece along with a sleeping mask and OAP cleaner. Further options are offered too, such as a bundle with two mouthpieces, OAP cleaner, and two sleep masks, for $104.95. Keep an eye on the Products page for seasonal offerings like the Holiday Bundle (strange gift idea, but okay) or packages inclusive of earplugs. With most FSA and HSA payments accepted at checkout, and free shipping always provided, VitalSleep offers competitive pricing without compromising quality.

Best Snoring Products

Very customer-centric policies

VitalSleep's customer-friendly approach continues with a generous 60-day money-back guarantee, surpassing the industry standard. If the mouthpiece doesn't meet your expectations within this period, VitalSleep ensures a hassle-free refund, without requiring you to return the device. Additionally, their commitment extends to a 1-year warranty, allowing for a replacement if needed. Considering that it's not uncommon for people to bite through oral appliances because of grinding or clenching teeth, this free replacement is a huge perk for VitalSleep users.

Highly rated product with excellent customer service

Reading through customer testimonials and videos on their website, you'll find countless individuals attesting to the significant improvement in their sleep quality after discovering the VitalSleep mouthpiece. Even for those who wind up asking for their money back (after all, mouth appliances aren't for everyone), the customer service delivered by the VitalSleep team is unmatched.

Still our #1 option

VitalSleep stands out as a risk-free and highly recommended option in the realm of anti-snoring solutions, and it's our top pick among boil-and-bite devices. The combination of positive customer reviews, a robust money-back guarantee and warranty, competitive pricing, and a commitment to customer satisfaction positions VitalSleep as the top-tier choice for anyone seeking effective solutions to alleviate snoring.

Smart Nora Review 4.5 Star Rating

Smart Nora

4.5 Star Rating
  • Uses a pillow insert and snoring detector to shift your ad position
  • Priced at $359 (or $33/month)
  • No oral device required
  • Free shipping and returns
  • Can use FSA/HSA funds
  • 1-year limited warranty
  • 45-night money-back guarantee

Smart Nora stands out as a revolutionary electronic sleep system designed to transform your sleep experience without the need for sticking things on your nose or using a mouthpiece. Praised by major media outlets like the New York Times, Good Morning America, Today, Martha Stewart, BBC, and even featured in Oprah's Favorite Things, Smart Nora has received significant attention and accolades over the last few years.

Not your average snoring solution

The system comprises three key components: a pebble to detect snoring, a padded pillow insert (for whatever pillow you're currently using), and a silent pump that subtly adjusts the insert throughout the night. By gently moving your head in response to detected snoring, Smart Nora stimulates throat muscles, allowing for natural breathing to resume.

Take the quiz and maybe get a discount offer

Is Smart Nora right for you? Take the 4-question Sleep Quiz to find out. We don't love that you have to provide your email address and wait for one of their "sleep experts” to reach out (honestly, how often are they going to come back and say "Nope, we can't help you”?), but maybe your email will come with a discount offer.

Costly, but you've got 45 days to decide for sure

You'll want any savings you can get, because Smart Nora costs $359 (or a payment plan at $33/month). That makes it the most expensive snoring solution on our list. But, here's the good news: Smart Nora ships for free, it comes with a 45-night money-back guarantee, and you can use your FSA/HSA account to pay for it. So, you'll have plenty of time to figure out if Smart Nora delivers the snore-free nights you're hoping for, before you decide if it's worth the price.

Best Snoring Products

"F” from the BBB isn't cause for concern

So, does Smart Nora actually get the job done, no bite-and-boil appliance (...and the subsequent drooling...) required? You might not think so, if you see the "F” rating the company has gotten from the Better Business Bureau. But, that's for failing to respond to just a small number of complaints, so we don't take it as an indicator of any big issues with the Smart Nora device or the company's customer service.

Almost every user rates it with 5 stars

That conclusion is supported by nearly 1,500 reviews (independently verified by YotPo) averaging 4.8 stars out of 5. This comment particularly rang true for us: "This thing is a lifesaver. Not only does it help me sleep better but it also helps my wife sleep better. My wife could never get a full night's sleep with my constant loud snoring and I would often wake up to her hitting me or shaking me to wake up and stop snoring. Now after I started to use the Smart Nora we both get a full night's rest.” Amen to that!

Highly-recommended alternative to in-mouth devices

If you've had it with snoring solutions that go in your mouth (or want to avoid them from the get-go), Smart Nora is a viable choice if you've got the money to invest. Considering how often those boil-and-bite devices wear down over the course of a year, Smart Nora could very well outlast them anyway. And, with a 45-night, money-back trial, you risk nothing by giving Smart Nora a chance to stop your snoring (or your sleeping partner's) for good. We enthusiastically recommend Smart Nora.

Good Morning Snore Solution Review 4 Star Rating

Good Morning Snore Solution

4 Star Rating
  • Stops snoring through better tongue placement
  • $84.94 for 1 Good Morning Snore Solution
  • Available in two sizes
  • 30-day refund policy
  • Parent company MPowrx is "A+” rated and accredited by the BBB
  • Over 1,000 5-star reviews

In 2005, MPowrx introduced the Good Morning Snore Solution, a science-based solution to combat nighttime snoring. Developed by Dr. Leslie Dort, a dentist and sleep researcher from Calgary, this anti-snore strategy is our favorite of all of the tongue-placement devices. This product, while not entirely unique in the market, is backed by a reputable company that invested substantial time and research in its creation.

Easy to use

The mechanism is straightforward - a mouthpiece fits between your lips and front teeth, gently moving the tongue forward as you sleep, to prevent blocked airways. It's versatile, compatible with or without dentures, and requires simple cleaning with inexpensive denture tablets or any "certified cleaning solution” (any product approved for cleaning retainers, dentures, sports mouth guards) each morning. Toothpaste and cold water is fine too.

30-day satisfaction guarantee helps you get the right size

You can choose between two sizes here: the regular Good Morning Snore Solution and the Young Adult (or smaller mouth) design. One device in either size sells for $84.94, or try a "Sizing Pack” to get one of each for $133.95. You're backed by a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, so this combo pack is the best way to be sure you've got the snoring solution that's the right size for your mouth, risk-free. Your mouthpiece should last you a year, but that will depend on your personal use and care of the GMSS device.

Need to be able to breathe through your nose

A few caveats: you shouldn't use Good Morning Snore Solution if you can't breathe well through your nose. That applies to short-term situations like colds and allergies, and long-term conditions like blocked nasal passages. This no-snoring product is not meant for people with sleep apnea, oral mucosal diseases, or severe respiratory disorders.

Best Snoring Products

Excellent reputation even if you need a refund

All warnings aside, Good Morning Snore Solution has a fantastic reputation. That starts with an "A+” rating and accreditation for its parent company: MPowerx had zero complaints filed in the three years leading up to this review. And, before you think, "Well, that probably means no one actually uses this product”, let's point out the 1,600+ independently-verified customer reviews averaging out to 4.6 stars out of 5.

One of our favorite reviews

One of our favorite reviews was from a woman who has successfully used Good Morning Snore Solution for an impressive 10 years: she said that it takes some patience and practice, but the results are worth it. And, even the customers who said that the device didn't work for them still raved about the company's prompt, no-hassle refund policy.

Best of the tongue stabilizing devices

When you're ready to try a tongue stabilization device to stop your snoring, Good Morning Snore Solution would be the first one we'd tell you to test out. It's done the trick for thousands of people, it's backed by a 30-day guarantee that the company honors faithfully, and it shouldn't leave you with the kind of jaw pain you may have already experienced with a MAD-style appliance.

SnoreRX Review 4 Star Rating

SnoreRX

4 Star Rating
  • Repositions your jaw to help prevent snoring
  • Boil-and-bite for custom fit
  • Can be adjusted in 1mm increments
  • $59.99 for SnoreRx, $99.99 for SnoreRx Plus
  • 30-night, 100% money-back guarantee
  • Thousands of 5-star reviews

SnoreRx is a tried-and-true jaw positioning system that can help reduce snoring. Unlike most MAD-style appliances, SnoreRx lets you make adjustments millimeter by millimeter, until you achieve your optimal, snore-free results.

Customized perfectly to you

The fitting process is a breeze with SnoreRx, utilizing the boil-and-bite method that ensures a snug fit tailored to your teeth. Spending just five minutes for this personalized fitting can pave the way for a restful night's sleep, free from the disruptions caused by snoring. The ability to make those precise adjustments we mentioned - advancing your jaw by one millimeter as needed - provides a level of customization that caters to your individual needs, gradually easing you into a snore-free routine.

Choose Plus to go vertical

For those seeking an elevated anti-snoring experience, SnoreRx Plus takes it to the next level. This adjustable mandibular advancement device is designed for vertical jaw movement, but the company is a little light on details on how that works (and on explaining why it might be worth spending $99.99 vs. the $59.99 for the non-Plus device).

Best Snoring Products

30-night guarantee, but not suitable for all users

Both SnoreRx devices are backed by a 30-night, 100% money-back guarantee. But, before you buy, you should be aware of the eligibility criteria for using SnoreRx. Individuals with central sleep apnea, those under 18 years of age, those with a history of TMD, respiratory disorders, loose teeth, abscesses, severe gum disease, advanced periodontal disease, dentures, braces, dental appliances, dental implants, crowns, or bridges should refrain from using SnoreRx (without doctor/dentist approval).

Try wearing a little in the daytime to minimize side effects

While SnoreRx can start showing results within a week, users may experience initial side effects like dry mouth, slight soreness, or excess drooling, which are considered normal and can be mitigated by gradually introducing the device during waking hours for "practice”.

Might not last a year

The durability of SnoreRx varies among users, with an estimated lifespan of 6 to 11 months. Factors like teeth grinding may affect its longevity, so you may need to buy this device several times a year if you tend to clench your teeth while you sleep.

Best Snoring Products

Almost a perfect 5-star average from thousands of users

With over 2,300 reviews averaging 4.9 stars, customer feedback highlights the effectiveness of SnoreRx, with users saying they're delighted that this snoring solution actually works and praising its impact on their sleep quality (or their partner's). The few complaints mainly revolve around the desire for size options for those with smaller mouths. The BBB gives SnoreRx's parent company a disappointing "F” grade, but since that stems from failing to respond to less than a dozen complaints, we're not overly concerned with that rating.

Worth trying

SnoreRx and SnoreRx Plus offer an adjustable, customizable, and effective approach to snoring, backed by positive customer experiences. With a 30-night guarantee and reasonable pricing, these devices provide a compelling option for those seeking a reliable solution to snoring woes.

ZQuiet Review 3.5 Star Rating

ZQuiet

3.5 Star Rating
  • Stops snoring through better placement of the jaw
  • $69.95 for a 2-size starter pack
  • 60-day guarantee
  • Free shipping on orders over $25
  • "A+” rated and accredited by the BBB

Since 2008, thousands of people have tried ZQuiet to address their snoring problem. Developed in partnership with medical and dental experts, ZQuiet works like many of the options on our list, namely by moving your jaw into a position that minimizes snoring. However, there's no need to boil-and-bite to fit ZQuiet to your mouth: it conforms to your teeth every night.

Overbite or underbite?

Just make sure you take the time to figure out which of the two sizes is right for you. You'll get both size options in the 2-pack for $69.95. Be aware that the size is based more on whether you have an under- or overbite, not necessarily on the size of your mouth.

Buying direct unlocks the most benefits

We would point out that it matters where you buy ZQuiet: while you may be tempted to get it from your Favorite Big Online Retailer, customer comments indicate that said store isn't going to let you return the device for a refund. On the other hand, when you buy directly from the ZQuiet store, you're absolutely backed by the manufacturer's 60-night guarantee and you won't even pay the return shipping costs.

Best Snoring Products

Some reviews are really positive

ZQuiet gets a thumbs up from the Better Business Bureau, with an "A+” rating and accreditation for having only one (appropriately-resolved) complaint filed there over the last three years. And, on the ZQuiet site, you'll find over 500 five-star reviews among the 700+ ratings left by users of this snoring solution. For some people, this is the ultimate fix, especially since there's no need to do the boil-and-bite usually associated with MAD-style appliances.

Evenly split between 1- and 5-star ratings

However, when we looked at the ratings left on that Big Internet Retailer's site, ZQuiet doesn't come out as favorably. The reviews are pretty evenly split, with 26% giving ZQuiet a perfect score and 38% ranking it as the absolute worst (to the tune of thousands of reviews in each camp). Granted, some of those negative ratings come from people who were mad to find out that the Big Store doesn't provide refunds (and ZQuiet won't guarantee any product not sold directly through their website, understandably). But others described nights of unending drool, triggered gag reflexes, and having the device pop out of their mouth while walking from the bathroom to the bedroom (not to mention while they were sleeping).

Try it, but buy it directly from the manufacturer

So, should you try ZQuiet? Maybe. We definitely recommend avoiding the urge to add it to your cart at you-know-where and instead buying it directly from the ZQuiet website. Like any snoring solution, your mileage may vary, and we want you to be able to get your money back if it's not a success during the 60-day trial window. It's nice to have an option that works right out of the box (without having to customize it for your teeth), but user feedback indicates that it isn't going to work for everyone.

AVEOtsd Review 3 Star Rating

AVEOtsd

3 Star Rating
  • Focuses on tongue position to stop snoring
  • $89 for 1, $139 for a 2-pack
  • Free shipping
  • 2-year money-back guarantee (workmanship and materials)
  • 60-day refund policy if AVEOtsd doesn't work for you
  • On the market since 1999

Designed and manufactured in New Zealand, AVEOtsd (Tongue Stabilizing Device) is an anti-snoring appliance designed to address snoring issues by focusing on the position of the tongue during sleep. Unlike mandibular advancement devices (MADs) that reposition the lower jaw, AVEOtsd works by gently holding the tongue in place, preventing it from falling back and obstructing the airway.

Goes on the tip of your tongue

AVEOtsd is a device made of soft medical-grade silicone. It is intended to be worn on the tip of the tongue during sleep. That could be a welcome change if you've tried the snoring solutions that cover your teeth and found them to be uncomfortable. The device has a simple and user-friendly design, and it does not require molding or adjustments for a custom fit.

See how it works

Still can't picture how this works? Go check out the short animation on the website: it almost looks like you've got a pacifier in while you sleep. You may have to use some trial-and-error to get the right amount of suction for your comfort, but most people say that the AVEOtsd offers a much more restful night's sleep than the devices that reposition your jaw.

Available in 3 sizes

You've got the option to buy AVEOtsd in Small, Medium, or Large sizes. The product description reassures prospective buyers that the medium size fits 90% of users, such that they charge $10 extra for a small or large to cover the manufacturing costs of the lesser-used sizes. Feel free to select the size of your choice in the dropdown box, but you should be okay with a medium unless you have an unusually large or small tongue.

Best Snoring Products

$89 and ships for free

You'll pay $89 for one AVEOtsd and $139 for a 2-pack in the medium size. Good news: despite being a New Zealand-based company, AVEOtsd ships for free to addresses in the US.

60 days to return (to New Zealand) for a full refund

What if you try this snoring solution and it doesn't work for you? You've got 60 days to return it for a full refund, but keep in mind that the return shipping fees (to NZ) will be on you. AVEOtsd is also backed by a 2-year workmanship and materials warranty.

Could be worth trying

While we wish there was more customer feedback to share with you about AVEOtsd, the comments we found scattered across NZ pharmacy websites and snoring solutions blogs is enough to reassure us that this is a decent option to try. The device comes with a 60-day refund policy, so if you give it a go and it doesn't fix your snoring, you can get most of your money back (minus what you'll pay out of pocket to send it back).

SleepTight Review 3 Star Rating

SleepTight

3 Star Rating
  • Mouthpiece designed to keep both jaw and tongue forward
  • FDA-approved for treating mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea
  • Traditional boil-and-bite process for customization
  • $9.95 for a 30-day trial
  • $69.95 after the first 30 days if you keep the device
  • Eligible for FSA and HSA

If you've been searching for a solution to put your snoring troubles to rest, the SleepTight Mouthpiece might have crossed your radar. Crafted by US dentist Dr. Mike Williams, a member of the American Academy of Sleep Association, this mouthpiece is designed to combat snoring by holding your jaw and tongue forward, keeping your airways open for a quieter night's sleep.

FDA-approved, even for some sleep apnea patients

SleepTight has a slight advantage over some of its competitors, by taking a two-pronged approach to solving snoring. As we mentioned, the mouthpiece both holds your jaw forward while you sleep and keeps your tongue gently in place through a front opening. The FDA has actually cleared this mouthpiece as an option for those with mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea as well, something that many rival snoring solutions can't claim.

Watch the video to understand the process

We recommend that you watch SleepTight's Fitting Video, to make sure you know the process that will be involved in customizing the appliance to your mouth. It's the usual boil-and-bite procedure, but the video will help you understand what's to come. Because of that made-for-you process, SleepTight is considered a one-size-fits-all snoring solution.

Best Snoring Products

$9.95 to start, $69.95 to keep the device

For those intrigued but cautious, SleepTight Mouthpiece offers a trial option with a fee of $9.95, covering shipping and handling. However, it's essential to note that this trial comes with a twist: after 30 days, you'll be billed an additional $69.95 unless you return the device within that period. One bonus is that this snoring solution is FSA and HSA eligible, if you'd like to use those funds towards this purchase.

Still waiting for unfiltered customer feedback

Rather than providing an open platform for customer reviews, the SleepTight website showcases handpicked testimonials from satisfied users. While positive feedback is always encouraging, the lack of unfiltered reviews isn't exactly what we'd call "transparent”. The parent company, Doc Brands, boasts an "A+” Better Business Bureau rating, so we're not worried that SleepTight is a scam. But, the company would stand a chance at moving up in our rankings if they would let the world see what everyone has to say, good or bad or in-between.

Not the best or the worst snoring solution

SleepTight has a few things going for it. It's one of the only snoring solutions we've seen that gets an FDA green light for treating some kinds of sleep apnea, it can be paid for with HSA/FSA funds, and it can tackle both causes of snoring by positioning the jaw and tongue at the same time. However, we're not big fans of the $9.95 trial period and the automatic billing after 30 days, and SleepTight doesn't have hundreds (or even dozens) of ratings displaying the honest thoughts of its users. We recommend that you look at its higher-rated rivals before making your purchase of SleepTight.

Snore Circle Review 2 Star Rating

Snore Circle

2 Star Rating
  • Snoring solutions that don't have to be used orally
  • High-tech device that uses TENS to respond to snoring without waking you up ($129)
  • Eye mask that uses vibration/sound to disrupt snoring ($99)
  • 30-day money-back guarantee (but you pay for return shipping costs to China)
  • Free shipping worldwide on orders of $50+

Snore Circle is the brand name of the anti-snoring products offered by VVFLY, all of which use smart technology to help you get a better night's sleep. Best of all, none of their snoring solutions go in your mouth: a huge plus for those of us who've tried (and hated) traditional jaw- or tongue-positioning appliances.

Nothing to put in your mouth

Let's take a look at the flagship device: the Snore Circle muscle stimulator. We'll give you the rundown on the most recent model, the YA4300 (though the previous version, 4200, is still offered for sale). Unlike traditional snoring products that go in your mouth, to put your tongue or jaw in a position that eliminates the problem, Snore Circle adheres underneath your chin. When it detects snoring, it applies a TENS current to tighten the muscles around the throat and open up your airway.

Detects different kinds of snoring

The technology is able to detect different kinds of snoring and use different intervention patterns that fit your sleep cycle without waking you up. Sounds like some sort of crazy magic to us, but we found some comments from people who said that it works (and without feeling like one of those trick buzzers you get in a handshake or with a machine at the arcade). And, the Snore Circle app will record your sleeping activities, letting you know how often you snored and how intensely, so you can see improvement over time. The device itself sells for $129, but you'll also need to keep stocked up on the adhesive strips (at $10 for 20).

Try a vibration/sound reminder to change positions

Not a fan of adhesives (or mild electrical interventions)? Snore Circle also offers a $99 eye mask that uses voice recognition and bone conduction techniques to detect the snoring sound. It uses vibration and sound to trigger you to change position, hopefully eliminating the snoring problem (no more need for your partner to kick you or shake the bed to get you to roll over).

Best Snoring Products

On-site reviews don't seem legit

As much as we love the idea of these non-invasive snoring solutions, we have some pretty big concerns with Snore Circle. While we want to feel encouraged by all of the 5-star reviews posted to the company's online store, take a look for yourself and see if you agree with our thought that they're not necessarily authentic. When we went looking for outside sources of feedback for Snore Circle's products, we still only found a couple dozen ratings - and they were pretty evenly divided across the 1- to 5-star spectrum. Particularly on the TENS device, some said that it actually worked for them but complained about having to constantly replace the adhesive (making for a not-insignificant ongoing cost to use the device).

All customer service directed to China

The biggest issue we have is the inability to get consistent customer service. You'll get an inkling of that when you see Snore Circle's contact page directing you to send an email or make a phone call - to an account or number in Shenzhen, China. That becomes even more obvious when you try to use some of the products' related apps, which tend to use broken English to give you input on your device and sleeping habits. All of that will make it difficult to take advantage of the 30-day money-back guarantee offered on Snore Circle products, even if you're willing to spend the money to try and ship your purchase back to China (and to trust that it's actually going to arrive where it's supposed to).

Cool idea but not a company that inspires trust

The concept behind Snore Circle is promising, but we hesitate to trust our sleep and our health to a device from a company that doesn't offer any kind of US-based customer service (particularly when we're talking about TENS). If you've tried other kinds of snoring solutions and you're desperate to take a new approach, you might be willing to risk it with Snore Circle. But, for most people, we'd say it's safest to try one of the more established manufacturers in our review.

Zyppah Review 1 Star Rating

Zyppah

1 Star Rating
  • $79.96 for one device
  • Uses both mandibular advancement and a tongue strap
  • Molds to your own bite
  • Cleans up with water and/or mouthwash
  • 91-day money-back guarantee (in theory)

Zyppah is a brand of anti-snoring device that aims to address snoring issues by combining elements of both mandibular advancement devices (MADs) and tongue stabilizing devices (TSDs). The name "Zyppah" itself is "Happy Z" spelled backward, emphasizing the goal of achieving a happy and snore-free sleep.

Correct positioning for jaw and tongue at the same time

The Zyppah device is designed to be worn in the mouth during sleep. It features a patented design that includes a mandibular advancement component and a tongue strap. The mandibular advancement aspect works by gently moving the lower jaw forward, which helps to prevent the collapse of the airway and reduce snoring caused by the relaxation of throat muscles. Additionally, the tongue strap aims to keep the tongue in place, preventing it from falling back and contributing to airway obstruction. The combination of these features sets Zyppah apart as a dual-action solution, addressing both jaw and tongue-related factors that contribute to snoring.

Custom fit and easy cleaning

Users are instructed to mold the Zyppah device to their mouth for a custom fit, providing greater comfort during use. It uses the traditional boil-and-bite method to fit your Zyppah, and the instructions are clearly explained on the website. When you need to clean your device, just use water or mouthwash: it's not recommended that you soak your appliance in any kind of cleaning solution, because it'll make Zyppah deteriorate. You can also buy their patented cleaning product, Z Clean, but regular water will do just fine.

Best Snoring Products

Under $80 and comes in novel colors

You'll pay $79.96 for one Zyppah device, and it comes in some oddly whimsical colors and designs (like glow in the dark, hot pink, and red-white-and-blue).

3-month trial window

Zyppah comes with a 91-day trial period (although we also saw references to 90 days in some places on the website). In theory, if you're not satisfied with the results, you can get your money back if you request a refund within that window.

Bad track record with the BBB

However, Zyppah has an "F” rating from the Better Business Bureau for their failure to process refunds and other customer service issues. It's bad enough that the BBB has an alert posted to the company's listing, but even more unfortunately, it dates all the way back to 2019 with no response from Zyppah.

Best Snoring Products

No love from most customers, and forget about refunds

That's fine, because most users don't like this snoring solution anyway. Almost 50% of the 2,600+ reviews we found for Zyppah were just 1 or 2 stars. More than one customer described the product and the company as a scam, plenty said that the device was so uncomfortable that they couldn't sleep (partly because they felt like they were "drowning in drool”), and for most it didn't change their snoring habits at all. Some people even verified that by using a snoring tracking app. And good luck taking advantage of the promised return policy; we couldn't find anyone who had been able to get their money back after buying Zyppah.

Worst of the no-snore products

Zyppah earns a "don't bother” recommendation from us. It's not the cheapest snoring solution on the market, and a 3-month trial period won't do you any good if the company doesn't honor the refund policy. By all indications, the makers of Zyppah certainly won't. And, since so many people said that using Zyppah left them drooling, in pain, and still snoring, why would you even want to try it?

Continued from above...

The prevalence of snoring is quite common, with estimates suggesting that about 40% of adults snore regularly. While it can affect individuals of any age or gender, it becomes more common as people age and is often associated with other factors such as obesity. It's not merely an inconvenience; chronic snoring can disrupt the quality of sleep, leading to daytime fatigue, irritability, and even more severe health issues if left unaddressed.

Thankfully, there are various strategies people employ to alleviate snoring. Lifestyle changes, such as maintaining a healthy weight and avoiding alcohol and sedatives before bedtime, can make a significant difference. Changing sleep positions, particularly avoiding sleeping on your back, can also help keep the airway open.

For those seeking more immediate relief, anti-snoring devices are a popular choice. Over-the-counter nasal strips work by physically opening the nasal passages, allowing for improved airflow. Some people find success with oral appliances, which are designed to reposition the jaw and/or tongue to keep the airway unobstructed. Anti-snoring pillows are designed to provide better head and neck support, reducing the likelihood of airway obstruction. Additionally, throat sprays and nasal dilators are available over-the-counter, aiming to lubricate the throat tissues or widen nasal passages.

While these solutions may offer relief to many, it's essential to recognize that snoring can sometimes indicate a more serious condition known as sleep apnea. If your snoring is accompanied by pauses in breathing or gasping for air during sleep, it's crucial to seek medical advice promptly.

But, let's say you're pretty sure it's not anything as drastic as sleep apnea, and you're looking to give almost anything a try to stop the ZZZs from being quite so loud. These devices and solutions we mentioned vary in effectiveness, and finding the right one might involve some trial and error.

Here are some ways to narrow down which snoring solution is best for you:

  • Mode of use. Do you think you'll be comfortable with a mouth appliance or something that holds your mouth closed while you sleep? That's the approach that many snoring solutions take. If you think that's not likely to go well, you'll need to choose one that works differently.
  • Cost. How much will you pay to stop the snoring once and for all (or, at least, more consistently than now)? Is it a one-off cost or will you need to replace part or all of the system at some point?
  • Results. Does the snoring solution actually work? Read customer reviews to see if a particular product lives up to the hype. And, if you find that it doesn't do the job for you, is there a satisfaction guarantee within a certain window of time?

Snoring is a common yet potentially disruptive nighttime companion for many. Understanding its causes and exploring various solutions, from lifestyle adjustments to affordable over-the-counter remedies, can pave the way for a quieter and more restful night's sleep. To that end, the experts at Top Consumer Reviews have done the work to evaluate and rank some of today's most popular snoring solutions. Remember, finding the right one for you might require some experimentation, but the pursuit of a peaceful night's sleep is undoubtedly worth the effort.

Snoring Product FAQ

Simply put, snoring is noisy breathing that happens while you're sleeping. It can produce a noise that's barely able to be heard, or be so loud that it disturbs people in another room!
Snoring happens when the airway is narrowed, obstructing regular airflow. This makes the soft tissue at the base of the tongue and the back of the throat vibrate, producing the sounds people associate with snoring.
Snoring in itself isn't always a problem. But, it can easily disrupt your sleep (or that of the people in your household!). When snoring results from sleep apnea - when your airway closes repeatedly and you gasp awake - it's indicative of a much more serious issue.
Not always. Sometimes you just need to change your position to sleep on your side, or maybe lose a few pounds (sorry!). However, some people who snore loudly have sleep apnea, which actually deprives the body of oxygen periodically through the night. If you're gasping yourself awake, or your partner notices you doing so, consult your physician for further advice.
Yes! There are many different approaches to help you get a quieter night's sleep. Besides weight loss and sleeping on your side or stomach instead of your back, there are mouthpieces that can keep your tongue properly placed towards the front of your mouth while you sleep, chin straps to prevent open-mouthed snoring, and even supplements you can take to reduce the swelling that can narrow airways. If it's determined that you have sleep apnea, however, you may wind up needing to use a CPAP machine prescribed by your doctor.
Yes. Most snoring prevention products have been successfully used for years. If you choose a supplement, it's always a good idea to read the ingredients list to ensure you don't have any sensitivities or interactions with other medications you're currently taking.
Most snoring products cost less than $100. Of course, there's a big price difference between spending $100 for a mouthpiece you can reuse for months (if not years) and spending the same amount for a three-month supply of consumable products that have to be replenished over and over again. But, if you find something that works for you, it's worth the investment!
Most of the time, the makers of snoring products offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, giving you plenty of time to see if you get the results you're hoping for. Check the return policy before committing to a purchase.
