Heartstone Farm is a 10-year old company run by a husband and wife. Their mission is to raise and supply food "the way nature intended”. They raise their cattle on grass and don't use antibiotics. Heartstone Farm also focuses on ensuring their cattle are loved and never stressed, maintaining a calm environment for them. The Heartstone Farm includes 500 acres of woods, streams, and pastures in Maine, recognized for their ideal grass-growing environment because of the climate and soil.

Honest and positive reviews

There's a fun variety of meats at Heartstone Farm, including burgers, ground beef, roasts, stew meat, organ meat, chicken breasts and wings, poultry sausage, pork chops, bacon, sausage, and of course, steak. There are 12 cuts of steak available, all of which have sky high customer ratings. We like that you can read what people have to say about each type of steak because it's really insightful and helpful when choosing what to spend money on here. People report experiencing unbelievable taste and quality, perfect tenderness, good prices, and fast delivery. We recommend finding a type of steak you want to try, then reading what people have said and viewing the pictures they've posted.

From $19 to $219

The cuts of steak you can select from at Heartstone Farm includes ribeye steak, filet mignon, porterhouse, sirloin, flat iron, T-bone, sirloin tip, Prime rib roast, strip steaks, hanger steaks, and chuck steak. That's a fantastic variety and should serve you with everything you'd want. The costs range from $19 for a single pound sirloin tip steak to $219 for a 7-8 lb. prime rib roast that would serve 10-15 people. Some meats are out of stock and clearly listed this way, so sign up for notifications about when a particular cut comes back in stock if you're willing to wait on it.

Purchase single steaks or subscribe to a box

When you sign up for Heartstone Farm's email list, you'll save $25 on your next order. This could equate to a free (small) steak, so it wouldn't hurt to take advantage. If you want to purchase steaks individually, you can totally do that. Or, if you want to make the most out of a single order, Heartstone Farm lets you do subscriptions of either 10 cuts ($149) or 20 cuts ($267) that includes premium ground beef for free in each box for a year. Boxes are delivered every 4 weeks and could include just steak or a mix of other types of beef, pork, and poultry. If you spend over $129 here, your order will ship for free, otherwise the cost is $19.95.

Only ships to a few states

The major kicker with Heartstone Farm is that they only ship to a select few states. They don't actually list exactly which states they supply meat to on their website because they just say they deliver throughout the Northeast. This is extremely limiting and many prospective customers may not qualify to order here, which is disappointing.

7-day guarantee

Heartstone Farm ships their steak and all other meat in a cool, refrigerated condition to ensure the temperature stays below 40 degrees. If for any reason a customer is dissatisfied with delivery, they should contact the company within 7 days of the date they receive the order to have their items either replaced at no cost or refunded by Heartstone Farm.

High ratings

Heartstone Farm receives an "A+” rating from the Better Business Bureau. We've established that their reviews on their website are very positive, but so are the verified customer ratings from third-party sites. For the lucky ones who are able to get deliveries from this company, it seems they are rarely (if ever) let down by the service and quality.

Wish it was widely available

We like the variety of steak from Heartstone Farm and the strong customer reviews make us excited about the different cuts offered. We would give this company one of our highest ratings if they were available in more areas. If you live in the northeast, we highly recommend giving the steaks from Heartstone Farms a try. Otherwise, check out one of our other top-rated steak companies for a delicious order of steak delivered straight to your doorstep.

Which Steak Company is the Best?

Whether you're in a warm climate and anxious to start grilling up your favorite meats for your friends and family or want to make a classy, cozy, indoor home-cooked meal with some high-quality steaks, you'll need the right place to get them from. We don't all live close to a farm with a local butcher on call to supply us with all the cuts of beef we want, but that doesn't mean we can't keep our fridge and freezer stocked with juicy, sustainably-sourced, grass-fed ribeye or filet mignon.

Knowing where your food comes from is important, and it's easiest when you have highly-rated companies you can learn and buy from. Buying steaks online can actually be a much smarter way to shop since you can vet the company and get more information on the meat you're buying, rather than if you just grabbed something off a shelf at your local store.

Steak Company FAQ

Definitely not! Why rely on your local supermarket's less-than impressive cuts when you can get the best sirloin, Porterhouse, filet mignon or T-bone - delivered right to your doorstep!
If you can name it, you can get it online. Angus? Aye. Wagyu and Kobe? Hai. And, companies that specialize in delivering steak know how to package it perfectly so it arrives fresh.
As with most things in life, you get what you pay for. When buying steak online, you'll tend to find the more premium cuts and grades of meat, but there are plenty of deals that make it affordable to get an unforgettable meal.
Most retailers offering food delivery understand that sometimes things go wrong in transit. If your steak arrives in less-than-perfect condition, you'll probably get a new shipment at no extra charge. Or, the store may give you a full refund or a store credit. Policies vary, so be sure you look for the company's satisfaction policy if you're concerned.
That depends. Steak can be ordered a la carte, and shipping costs usually depend on the size of your order. Some companies offer subscription clubs that deliver your meat on a regular, scheduled basis; with those plans, shipping is often included at no extra charge.
Yes! Can you think of a better way of making sure that you have a delicious steak dinner every single month? You can typically choose plans ranging from 3 to 12 months.
Depending on which store you select, you may only have cuts of beef to choose from. However, retailers that offer gift-giving options tend to have a wide range of possibilities, from seafood to desserts.
Why not? Maybe you'd love to treat your parents to a nice dinner, but they live a thousand miles away. Or you've got a hard-to-please boss and you really want to impress her at the holidays. Sending steak, a surf-and-turf combo, or a complete meal package will be a gift they'll remember.

Continued from above...

Online, you can learn how a company started, where their meat comes from, what their cattle is fed, whether or not they follow organic practices, what types of experiences customers have had with the company, and so much more. When you're browsing through all the delectable options that a steak company offers, you may be surprised to find some other great perks as well.

Many companies offer free shipping, free gifts, loyalty points, and sitewide sales. Buying meat online is probably less expensive than you'd imagine. There are also options to add on other items like chicken, pork, turkey, seasonings, dressings, desserts, and anything else you fancy. You can get days or even months worth of meals delivered straight to your doorstep.

And last but not least, while you're stocking up on steaks for yourself, think about those people in your life who are hard to find gifts for. Steaks make an enjoyable, thoughtful gift that can easily be sent to anyone you want. Steak companies carefully package and prepare the meats they send in a way that ensures their freshness upon arrival no matter how far they have to travel. Wouldn't you be excited to find top-tier beef on your porch?

There are quite a few variables that come into play when choosing where to buy steaks online. No two companies are the same, so we have come up with a short list of things to keep in mind when you're deciding who to buy from:

  • Quantity. If you're living on your own or have a small family, it's ideal to find a steak company that lets you purchase smaller quantities of meat at a time. This way you have what you want and don't overspend for extra food you don't need right away. On the other hand, if you have a big family, you'll want big portions and possibly enough to keep your freezer stocked for a rainy day. Find a company that lets you have some flexibility as far as how much meat you can buy at a time.
  • Availability. Does the steak company clearly list what meats are in stock? Are there plenty of other meats and sides you could add on if you want to get the most value out of a single order? Some companies let you subscribe to recurring deliveries of their steaks, so be sure to consider this if you want to make sure you never run out.
  • Customer satisfaction. What have other customers said about the steak company? Would they recommend it to other potential buyers? What does the Better Business Bureau rate the company?

Some of the highest-quality steaks are out there and ready for you to enjoy. Top Consumer Reviews has thoroughly researched the most important details about popular steak companies you can buy from online. We hope this information helps you find a company that will allow you and your family to indulge in tender, juicy steaks whenever you have a craving for them.
