SimpleTire puts technology to work for you, connecting you with a network of over 10,000 tire installers and 3,000 independent supply points. Long story short, you'll find an incredible selection of both tires and installation choices when you buy your tires from this online-only storefront. More than 7 million customers have been served by SimpleTire over the last 15+ years. And, this company recently earned Newsweek's award for being one of America's best online shops.
Get personalized tire recommendations
When you provide your vehicle information and answer some questions about your driving style, SimpleTire will give you a personalized recommendation of the top 3-5 tires that fit what you entered. But, you're always welcome to browse the store's entire selection, which spans over 300 tire brands, and you'll be able to see how many tires there are that fit your vehicle in the entire SimpleTire inventory.
Test case: lots of options for Corolla, just one for Cybertruck
Let's see how SimpleTire did when asked to provide tires for our two comparison vehicles: a 2021 Toyota Corolla LE and a 2024 Tesla Cybertruck. There were a whopping 292 options for the Corolla, ranging in price from $49.96/tire for the Montreal All-Season Passenger Tire to $251.40/tire for the Pirelli UHP Summer Passenger Tire. For the Cybertruck, the only option SimpleTire gave us was the Goodyear Wrangler Territory at $424.99/tire. (It was interesting to us that it differed from the tire model that Goodyear itself recommended, so be sure to do your research.)
High-level details if you want them
As you browse the tires appropriate for your vehicle, there's a wealth of information you can consider at SimpleTire. They have a proprietary rating system that shows you how the tire ranks with respect to durability, traction, and mileage warranty. If you want to get really technical, keep scrolling and learn more. For example, on the tire recommended for the Tesla Cybertruck, we learned that it's used as OEM on the 2021 RAM 1500 TRX, along with all of the specs like tread design, rim range, and much more.
Join the "SimpleCrew” for free benefits
If you sign up for SimpleTire's "SimpleCrew” membership - which is free - you can unlock a discount of $25 off a purchase of $250+. This will also get you a 10% discount on many tires and access to other exclusive discounts. You should see that pop-up right when you visit the SimpleTire website.
Price matching
Another way to save money is with SimpleTire's best price guarantee. If you see a lower price on the tires you want on a different website, you can use their live chat to send them the link and they'll match it.
3 financing options
And, if you need financing, SimpleTire offers not one but three options: Klarna, Affirm, and SimplePay. You'll see all of the details for those financing methods right on each tire's page.
Total transparency with installation options
Let's look at the benefits of getting tires here. First, every installation comes with 12 months of 24/7 roadside assistance (as long as you purchase at least 4 tires). You've also got options for installation at either a local shop or mobile (where the installer comes to you). What we absolutely adore about this part is that you can choose the shop or the installer you want: the price for installation is clearly displayed, along with the earliest available date for the installation, reviews for the local tire shop or the installation service, even a photo of the location or the mobile company's truck.
Great reputation
How about reputation? SimpleTire has a perfect score at the Better Business Bureau, earning both an "A+” rating and accreditation despite the 130+ complaints filed there in the last three years. You'll find the complaints that are common to online tire stores, like tires that get separated during delivery and make customers wait longer to get them installed, but we didn't see anything unusual. Feedback left on Trustpilot is mostly positive too, with an average of 4 stars out of 5 spanning over 670 reviews (and 75% of ratings were either 4- or 5-stars). Shoppers praise the delivery speed, the pricing, and overall shopping experience. They're also grateful that SimpleTire offers live customer help every day but Sunday, making it easy for people who may not have time to buy tires during the week to check it off their to-do list on Saturday.
Fantastic option among tire stores
SimpleTire does an excellent job all around. Pricing is fantastic, service is equally great, and it's one of a very small number of tire stores that gives mobile installation options. We love the transparency at every step of the way here, and we're glad to give SimpleTire a near-perfect rating.
Buying tires can seem like a daunting task, but with the right approach, you can easily navigate the process and find the best tires for your vehicle. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you through it.
Start by assessing your driving habits and the conditions you frequently encounter. Do you drive mostly on highways, in the city, or off-road? Are you dealing with snow, rain, or extreme heat? The answers will help you decide whether you need all-season tires, summer tires, winter tires, or a specialized type like off-road or performance tires.
Look at your current tires to gather important information. You'll find the tire size on the sidewall, which includes a series of numbers and letters (such as 225/65R17). This tells you the tire width, aspect ratio, construction type, and rim diameter. Make sure the new tires match these specifications unless you're making a deliberate change for a specific reason.
Use online resources to research tire brands, types, and models. Many websites offer tools where you can input your vehicle's make, model, and year to get tire recommendations. Read customer reviews and professional ratings to get a sense of how different tires perform in areas like traction, handling, comfort, and durability.
Feeling overwhelmed? We've got a shortcut for you: just shop for your tires online. Most of today's popular tire stores can walk you through all of those things we just mentioned. Enter your make, model, and year (or, for some online stores, just your license plate or VIN), and you're good to go. You'll usually be able to see the research those retailers have done and benefit from their expertise, along with reviews from other car owners, in order to make your choice.
Once you've chosen your tires, the next step is to arrange for installation. If you're an automotive pro and you want to install the tires yourself, you do you (just make sure the store allows for that; some tire shops require professional installation in order to make a purchase). But, if you'd rather let an actual pro do the dirty work, check the options on offer. Usually, the tires will be shipped directly to the installer you indicate, and you can schedule an appointment to have them mounted and balanced on your vehicle. Some online stores even offer mobile installation services where a technician comes to your location to install them.
Still not sure which tire store to use? No worries. Here are a few criteria that can narrow down the options:
