This transcription service stands out by offering smart AI features that can simplify your storage and search process of transcribed and existing documents for your business. Go Transcript is a transcription service that offers both AI and human-verified services to turn recordings and videos into accurate text for meetings, podcasts, or specialized industries like legal work. While the company is known for fast turnaround times and budget-friendly rates, some users have found it difficult to get any purchase confirmation or receipt for tax purposes. Although it has a mixed reputation among writers who work there, it's a reliable choice for getting quick transcriptions. Go Transcript is a solid middle-ground option without too many bells and whistles if you're on a budget.

We Scribe It is a straightforward transcription service that offers three simple options: medical, legal, and general business. While the site promises high accuracy and fast delivery times, there are no extras or integrations. So, this is for transcriptions only. While We Scribe It could be competitive if you have basic needs, the complete lack of verified third-party feedback for this company leaves it a pretty big question mark in terms of deliverables.

Transcription Hub is a specialized transcription service that focuses on separate industries to target specific use cases. You can get both transcription and translation done at Transcription Hub, but you'll have to pay separately for the services. Transcription Hub charges per minute, which can keep long-term costs down, but the site is older and difficult to navigate. Our biggest concern is the lack of recent reviews (anything newer than 2022), which makes it less reliable. Until it improves its online reputation, Transcription Hub earns a lower rating in our review.

Scribie is a budget-friendly transcription service, but there are some issues with dishonesty you'll want to be aware of before you sign up. Scribie claims to use humans to check for mistakes on the AI-written transcriptions. However, based on user feedback (and some reviews from employees), this may not be the case. Reviewers warn about lower-quality documents, too. This service is a low-cost option if you don't mind parsing through the final document for potential errors.

Transcribe is a US-based AI transcription service that's got a seemingly impressive integration system and usability with 120 languages. However, many past customers have reported problems with actually using the services after paying. The total lack of recent reviews since 2023 is also a red flag for this service. For these reasons, Transcribe earns a cautionary note in our review.

Transcribe Me claims to be a leader in transcription services, but from what we've seen, that isn't really the case. Our research shows it does have low prices, but it's plagued by bad reviews from frustrated workers and almost no feedback from actual customers. We couldn't get a response for a business quote in a timely fashion, which could point to larger issues with customer service overall. You're better off with a company that actually responds to your queries and treats its team fairly, especially if you want human-reviewed transcription. We recommend skipping Transcribe Me altogether.

These days, transcription services are more powerful than ever. Thanks to major upgrades to AI, transcription software can handle tons of different possible situations, including noisy coffee shops, different dialects and accents, and higher accuracy for spoken-to-written transcription than ever before. As an added benefit, transcription services are fast. While it might have taken several hours to process audio previously, now you can get a full hour of audio turned into text in just a few minutes. And hey, if you still like a personal touch, you can hire a transcription specialist instead.
When you're checking out different transcription services, you can pick between AI or human transcribers. Whether you want meeting notes or someone to write up a transcript for your newest YouTube video, there's a professional transcription service out there for you. In general, AI is great for those who need transcriptions on a budget. However, if you're working on something important like legal documents or medical reports, you might want to pay a little extra for a human touch. Things like slang or technical words that are important to your field might trip up even the most advanced AI, so grabbing someone to transcribe for you may be a better choice if you have a jargon-heavy workspace.
Transcription services don't just type out your audio for you. You can find some extras along with the standard services, too. Some transcription services offer "smart summaries" and speaker labels so you can see who is talking (great for podcasts) or write up a recap to send with your meeting notes to give your boss the "tl;dr". Keep an eye out for privacy and security features too. If you work in an industry that has sensitive information, you might want to look for a transcription service that includes features like end-to-end encryption to keep your files safe.
