When you're ordering trophies, sometimes your orders can get slowed down or engraved incorrectly because of communication problems between the site where you placed your order and whatever supplier they use to fulfill it. Not so with QuickTrophy! As they will proudly tell you, "we are the factory!" Located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, this trophy store maintains an extensive inventory of trophy and award components, so that your orders can be prepared and shipped within just a few days - no middleman involved.
Easy to order
Although some of the images on the QuickTrophy site are pixelated, giving the impression of this store being less-than-current, we found it fairly easy to use this online trophy store for ordering awards. You can start with the categories at the top of the page - Trophies, Plaques, Medals, Corporate, Engraving (if you already have a trophy and just need a newly-engraved plate for it), Unique (Pet Urns?! Growlers?!) - or use the Quick Sport Select to go directly to some of the store's most popular selections, either in that dropdown or a little further down the page.
Just for fun
Just for fun, we decided to see what QuickTrophy had in the Beauty Queen category. We liked being able to see subcategory images, like Participation and Perpetual styles, or having the option to "View All" (we don't recommend the latter, because especially in categories with lots of options, it'll get overwhelming!).
Cumbersome results list
The results lists are actually rather cumbersome. For example, we clicked to see everything in the Beauty Queen Participation Trophies section and got a long product list with about a dozen options - and no way to sort them by price, size, or any other criteria. It was easy to see the pricing, description, and color options, but our eyes started to glaze over as we browsed all of the possibilities.
Shipping estimator tool
If you have a specific date by which your order needs to arrive, we encourage you to use QuickTrophy's shipping estimator tool. Enter the number of items and your zip code, and they'll provide the estimated delivery date for your order. Of course, if you need a more specific timeframe, the company encourages you to give them a call to double-check the information in the estimator tool. Ground shipping is free on orders over $100 within the lower 48 United States, and there are six other delivery options if needed (3-Day Select, Next Day Air, and so on).
Despite a less-than-polished website (compared with rival trophy stores), QuickTrophy enjoys a very positive reputation. The Better Business Bureau gives the company a flawless "A+" rating, and although the independently-verified customer reviews are relatively small in number (just over 300), the average rating is an impressive 4.9 out of 5 stars. Shoppers say that their orders are processed quickly, delivered right on time, and that the customer service team really lends a personal touch to the whole process.
Another reason for this trophy store's good reputation is their satisfaction policy. Although they stop short of calling it a "guarantee", QuickTrophy gives you 30 days from delivery to request a return or exchange. You'll be charged a "small restocking fee" (they don't specify the amount) if you want a refund, but exchanges for any other trophy or award in their selection are completely free of charge. Remember what customers said about that personal touch?
Room to improve
We really love it when companies deliver on their promises, especially with leaving customers feeling appreciated and delighted, and QuickTrophy definitely makes that happen. Their online store could use some upgrading, particularly when it comes to long results lists that could be filtered and sorted by relevant criteria. But, for shoppers who like supporting smaller businesses that offer quality trophies and awards that easily compete with the big names, QuickTrophy should be a name to know.
That's a great question if you're in charge of recognizing athletes for their participation and accomplishments, giving employees a well-deserved award for being their team's MVP during a tough quarter at work, or giving any other type of praise and applause in a more formal, tangible way.
Trophies and awards really run the gamut when considering options for designs, shapes, materials, and budgets. On one end of the spectrum, you'll find the inexpensive plastic-and-metal trophies common at Little League baseball end-of-season awards nights, usually with a generic inscription congratulating the little slugger for being a part of the team.
On the other end of the spectrum, the sky's the limit: crystal, art deco glass, and other high-quality materials make up the products you'll find here. Think of what you'd expect when honoring someone for a lifetime's worth of achievements in a highly-competitive field, and you'll get an idea of the types of awards on the upper end of the price range.
Can't find a specialty trophy store near you? No problem! Most teams, organizations and companies turn to trusted online providers of trophies anyway: why not, when the options are plentiful, prices are competitive, and you can get your order just as quickly as if you purchased it from a local brick-and-mortar shop? Even your customizations can be taken care of quickly, ensuring that you have the perfect award for the ceremony, right on time.
So, how can you decide which trophy store should get your business, both now and hopefully for years to come? Here are several factors that may influence your purchasing decision when ordering trophies:
