One thing that we liked about Skooli when we browsed their tutors is that they need to be verified by Skooli to be included on the roster. For example, tutors are ranked by "apples” (which is just another system for stars) and show reviews from past students on their profiles. Further, profiles show which tutors have passed background checks and list which parts of the tutor's education have been verified by Skooli. We like the dedication to transparency with tutors and the ability for users to browse on their own rather than just be matched by the system.
Students think there are better sites
While Skooli has an "A+” rating from the Better Business Bureau, that's where their solid reputation seems to stop. There aren't a lot of reviews out there on verified third-party review sites. But the reviews on Skooli itself aren't super encouraging. Based on feedback from students, the platform is considered one of the least favorable places to find qualified online teachers due to having a more limited number of tutors than other sites. Many students appear to believe that there are better online tutoring options available elsewhere. Considering that factor, Skooli doesn't rate as highly. If students aren't happy with the service, we aren't either.
