TutorMe was founded in 2015. The idea behind the company is that there are more teachers in the world than are actually teaching and they want to give students an opportunity to learn from them. Some of the tutors who work for TutorMe come from places like Berkeley, USC, MIT, Princeton, Yale, and others. They can tutor students in over 300 subjects and even help with things like learning to code.

3 Step Process

TutorMe can be understood in a simple three-step process:

  1. First, students put in a tutor request and let TutorMe know the subject they are working on.
  2. Second, students learn one-on-one in a virtual classroom that has tools like a whiteboard, audio/video chat, text editor, screen sharing, and more.
  3. Third, after the lesson is over, tutors and students get the chance to rate each other, which helps maintain the quality of TutorMe's services.

Tutor Review Process

We really like that TutorMe has a review process for their tutors because it adds reassurance that the company maintains an awareness of how well their tutors perform. This shows that TutorMe stands behind their services and wants their students to have the best possible educational experience.

Browse The Tutor Profiles

Once you select the subject for which you need a tutor, you have the choice of choosing if you prefer a male or female (or have no preference) and then browsing the profiles of the online tutors. Each profile shows a photo, a short bio, teaching experience, work experience, education, and the subjects they tutor in. Students can then request to start a lesson right away with any tutor they see online.
