Nevi-Skin is a wart removal product from DermalMeds, an herbal remedy manufacturer, designed to remove standard warts, as well as plantars warts and skin tags. Nevi-Skin promises fast, safe, scar-free wart removal using natural ingredients.
Nevi-Skin is applied directly to the affected area and DermalMeds says their all natural ingredients are the highest quality in the industry. Most times a single application is all that is necessary completely and permanently remove the wart. Customer testimonials we read mostly agree; most reviews are very positive with regards to the results of the Nevi-Skin product. One customer reported success removing persistent planters that had failed to be permanently removed by other products such as freezing and surgical removal. After using Nevi-Skin on her plantars warts, however, they disappeared completely and did not recur.
The process for using the Nevi-Skin product is straightforward. The user cleans the wart with soap and warm water, and then using the supplied emery board to rough up the surface of the wart a little bit. This allows the product better absorption into the wart. Using the applicator stick provided with the product, the consumer applies the cream directly to the wart. After waiting 20-30 minutes the cream is washed off with warm water. In 24-48 hours a scab will form over the wart, and in 7-10 days the scab will fall off naturally and the wart will be gone. In some cases a second application may be necessary.
In addition to the positive results reported by users of this product, Nevi-Skin offers a 60 day unconditional money back guarantee. Even if someone has opened and used the product, they may return the unused portion within 60 days for a total refund. The exact cost of the product by volume, however, was a little difficult to identify. A single jar costs $39.95 and the website says this will handle 2-4 large warts; however we couldn't locate the volume in milliliters anywhere on the website. There is a $5 per jar discount for purchasing 2 jars and a $10 per jar discount for buying 3 jars.
Nowhere on the website were the active ingredients listed, which we weren't too fond of. Instead there is a note at the very bottom of the main page that says the statements on the website have not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. There was too little information on the website for our liking. The contact page only allows you to send an e-mail to the company, and the "terms" page was under construction at the time of this writing.
Overall it appears Nevi-Skin is a good product for wart removal, but we really would have liked to see a lot more information provided on the website. For this reason we can only give Nevi-Skin a middle of the road ranking.
Warts are a very common skin condition, but can cause a great deal of embarrassment. Most warts are found on the hands and feet and are the result of a benign virus. However, warts can appear in other places of the body too, and while some may go away on their own, most will stay until removed.
For those familiar with wart removal, they know it can be an expensive and uncomfortable process that typically occurs at the doctor's office. Freezing and burning off warts are two of the most common methods of wart removal. However, today a number of products exist that use safe and natural ingredients to remove warts.
While there are a variety of products you can use at home without a prescription to remove warts, not all products are the same. Before you choose a wart removal product, you should consider the following:
