Water Filters emphasizes a 360-degree service approach. Operating with minimal overhead and maximum efficiency, the company prides itself on offering competitive prices and superior service. With an inventory promising hundreds of thousands of water filtration products available for swift shipping worldwide, Water Filters continues to expand its product line to meet evolving needs. Water Filters serves a wide customer base, including end users (like you!), Fortune 500 companies, universities, government agencies, and other institutions.
Cluttered, but not a bad UI
The first impression of Water Filters is cluttered. With lots of photos, colors, and different fonts, it's hard to know what to look at first. However, if you keep to the top navigation bar, it's pretty easy to find what you need. You can find home systems, drinking water systems, parts and accessories, and replacement filters right there at the top of the website. Once you choose a starting point, you can browse with helpful site filters like price, brand, filter media, reduction class, contaminants, and more.
Some limitations in products
While the "About Us” page for Water Filters promises hundreds of thousands of products on the site, this isn't the case in the whole home filter systems section. First, you have to narrow down your shopping by a specific kind of home system like "iron and manganese systems” or "carbon systems”. While there are 7 different systems to choose from, there are fewer than half a dozen items in most of the categories. Some of the systems only have one option to choose from, which feels much more limited than other top contenders in our review. Now, when it comes to replacement filters, there are over 200 products in each category, which definitely lives up better to Water Filters' promise. However, there are some filters notably absent like pitcher filters and shower filters, so you may be missing out if you're looking for something other than a whole house filter or a refrigerator filter.
Prices for full systems start at $170.99
The pricing was hard to compare to other companies, as Water Filters was missing many of the products that we used for comparisons at other retailers. For our purposes, we just looked at the pricing of two different full-home systems to compare against home systems at other retailers. For Water Filters, we looked at carbon filters and lead reduction filters. For carbon filters, there were only 7 options to choose from and the prices ranged from $185.99 to $729. For the lead reduction filters, there were only three products and the prices ranged from $170.99 to $240.99.
90-day returns but no shipping guarantees
Returns for Water Filters follow a policy that allows unused products to be sent back within 90 days from the original shipping date. You'll get a full refund for your product purchase but your refund won't include outgoing shipping costs or the return shipping label charge of $11.75. If you receive the wrong product or your product is defective, you won't incur any outgoing or return shipping fees.
No buzz anywhere
Reviews are particularly scarce for Water Filters. At Trustpilot, we found exactly 1 total review from customers and that review had just 1 star. The reviewer was complaining about spam emails from the company despite never actually having purchased a water filter from Water Filters. From the Better Business Bureau, Water Filters.net has an "A+” rating, but there's no way to confirm what it did to deserve this rating as there are no reviews on the BBB site either. Basically, there isn't any buzz for Water Filters, which raises a red flag for us.
Company lacks a solid reputation
While the company seems to have a good handle on water filtration systems, we're a little concerned about the lack of reviews. For this reason, along with the fact that Water Filters lacks some major filter items seen at other retailers, it earns a lower rating in our review. We hope that we'll see improvement for Water Filters in the future, but for now, its reputation is too uncertain to stand behind.
Knowing that you're consuming clean, safe drinking water can provide a sense of security and peace of mind. When you're confident in the quality of your water, you can focus on other aspects of your life without worrying about the potential risks associated with drinking tap water.
If you're concerned about the quality of your drinking water, investing in a water filter can be a game-changer for your health and happiness. Water filters are designed to remove impurities and contaminants from tap water, so you and your family have access to perfectly pure drinking water at all times. With concerns about water pollution and the presence of harmful substances in our water supply, a high-quality water filter can provide peace of mind and contribute to your overall well-being.
One of the most significant benefits of using a water filter is the improvement in the taste and odor of your drinking water. Tap water can sometimes have a chlorine-like taste or unpleasant odor due to the presence of chemicals and contaminants used to initially clean the water. By helping remove these impurities, water filters can enhance the taste and smell of your water, making it more enjoyable to drink and encouraging you to stay hydrated throughout the day. Whether you prefer to drink water straight from the tap or use it for cooking and brewing beverages, a water filter can elevate the quality of your drinking experience.
Water filters come in various types. One common type is the pitcher filter, which is a simple and affordable option for filtering tap water. These filters typically use activated carbon to remove impurities and improve taste. Faucet-mounted filters attach directly to the faucet and provide filtered water on demand. Other filters are directly fitted to your appliances. These are convenient and easy to install, making them suitable for small households.
Under-sink filters are installed beneath the sink and provide a continuous supply of filtered water for drinking and cooking. They are effective at removing a wide range of contaminants and are ideal for homes with limited counter space. Whole-house filtration systems are installed at the main water line and filter water for the entire household. These systems remove contaminants from all water sources for clean water for drinking, bathing, and cooking. Finally, reverse osmosis systems use a semipermeable membrane to remove contaminants, minerals, and impurities from water, producing high-quality drinking water. Each type of water filter offers unique benefits and features, allowing you to choose the most suitable system for your home.
In addition to improving the taste and smell of your water, water filters can protect your health by removing potentially harmful contaminants. Tap water can contain a variety of pollutants, including bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, prescription medications, and industrial chemicals, which can pose serious health risks if ingested in large quantities. By using a water filter, you can reduce your exposure to these contaminants and safeguard your health and well-being. With clean, filtered water readily available, you can hydrate confidently and enjoy better overall health.
