It may be one of the most important pieces of clothing a woman will ever buy. As something that many girls dream of from a young age, it symbolizes one of the most memorable days of her life. Every bride wants to feel beautiful, confident, and special in her wedding dress - finding the right one is a big deal!
However, finding the right wedding dress is no easy task. Brides want their dress to reflect their style and remain attractive since it will be memorialized in wedding photos for years to come. In short, it has to feel perfect! No bride wants to wear a wedding dress design that many other women have worn, so it's helpful to find a retailer with hundreds of styles to choose from. It may take weeks or even months to settle on "the" dress, but the hunt will be well worth the time.

Lulus is a full-scale, all-in-one apparel store. They have an appealing website, a big selection of all clothing types in addition to over 260 wedding dresses, honest product reviews, a generous return policy, free shipping, and competitive prices. Lulus has an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau and thousands of customers praise them for their customer service and high-quality merchandise. Lulus is our favorite place to shop for wedding dresses.
COCOMELODY offers made-to-order wedding dresses in addition to bridesmaid, dresses, formal dresses, and jumpsuits. Their prices are reasonable for the quality of dress, beautiful styles, and custom sizes. The designs of dresses are elegant and likely to match any wedding theme and season. However, there is a short return window for dresses and this retailer charges restocking fees. Overall, though, customers like COCOMELODY and it's a great place to find a wedding dress.
Azazie is a bridal retailer that provides made-to-order dresses in order to reduce environmental waste and be inclusive of women of all sizes. In addition to wedding dresses they sell mother of the bride dresses, formal dresses, and accessories. Their prices are affordable, but you'll need to pay attention to lead times to ensure your wedding dress arrives in plenty of time. They have a try-at-home program that allows customers to order multiple gowns and try them on at home before making a final purchase. Overall, Azazi has great reviews from customers in addition to their "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau, so they've earned a high ranking from us.
David's Bridal is one of the first places many people think of when they start wedding dress shopping. Not only have they been around since 1950, but they have 298 brick-and-mortar locations throughout the US. Customers only have 7 days to return dresses they are unsatisfied with and many people have complained that this process can be complicated. David's Bridal has an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau because of failure to respond to multiple complaints about the business. However, many people still shop at David's Bridal and have nothing but great things to say about the experience. Because of their huge selection of wedding dresses, good price range, and store popularity, David Bridal has earned a fairly good rating from us.
Just because AW Bridal has the word "bridal" in their name doesn't mean they are very helpful when it comes to finding a wedding dress. They have a good selection of beautiful, timeless bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride dresses and accessories, but they only have 19 wedding dresses to choose from. Their prices are fair, and they do have very positive reviews from customers, but you won't find a lot of variety. Bridal gowns are custom tailored to ensure the perfect fit before shipping out, so it will take around 3 weeks for you to receive your order. Overall AW Bridal is a great retailer, but we can't guarantee you'll find a wedding dress style you like since there isn't much to choose from.
For some women, finding the right wedding dress is more a matter of convenience than finding the ultimate dress. If this is you, then Zappos might be just the answer to meet your needs. While Zappos has an extensive selection of other items, their inventory of wedding dresses is limited. Regardless, the generous 365-day return policy might be enough to put them on your map of wedding dress shopping destinations.
Nordstrom has much to offer in the clothing department. Whether you're looking for shoes, jackets, pants, dresses, hats, blouses, or any other types of clothing, you'll likely find something you like here. Unfortunately, the only exception to this is wedding dresses since they don't have a category for them and it isn't easy to see what your options are. Although Nordstrom is a great place to shop for clothing online with an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau, free returns, and transparent customer reviews, wedding dresses are not their bread and butter.
Veaul is a "cheap" wedding dress retailer that has thousands of bridal gowns fit for a queen. Their elegant, over-the-top wedding dresses would make a bold statement at any event. They aren't necessarily on-trend or modern, but they are beautiful. Based on the inconsistent photos of the different wedding dresses we assume Veaul is a middle-man selling or copying dresses from other retailers. Their made-to-order dresses are mostly under $1,000 which seems suspicious based on the extravagant designs. They don't have great customer reviews, so we suspect this isn't a great company to do business with and you should look elsewhere for a wedding dress.
BHLDN (pronounced "beholden" ) is a high-end retailer that specializes in formal dresses. The company is owned by Anthropolgie and they say they "cater to the bride in search of unusually beautiful things." BHLDN sells extravagant and elegant dresses for brides, bridesmaids, flower girls, mothers of the bride. Initially they look like an enticing place to find a wedding dress, but customers would beg to differ. Not only are prices sky high, but some customers complain of damaged items or orders that never arrive. Trying to get a refund and work with customer service is reportedly a major hassle and often proves fruitless. Unsurprisingly, BHLDN has a "D" rating from the Better Business Bureau. Despite their appealing inventory, we are not impressed with this company.
Milanoo's inventory spans far beyond just wedding dresses. They have a collection of prom, homecoming, cocktail, and other multi-functional party dresses as well as other types of men and women's clothing. Their prices are shockingly (and concerningly) low considering the elegant and stylish gowns they display on their website. Unfortunately Milanoo tanks when it comes to customer satisfaction. Customers claim that their dresses are cheaply made and don't arrive looking the same as they appeared online. Customer service is a pain to deal with and shipping can be extremely slow. Many people say that Milanoo cannot be trusted, so it's best to avoid them altogether.
