BHLDN is a high-end dress retailer run by Anthropolgie. They specialize in selling bridal gowns, bridal party apparel (flower girls and bridesmaids), wedding jewelry, mother of the bride dresses, formal dresses, and shoes. It appears that all women in a wedding party can be dressed to the nines here. However, once you've heard the horror stories from customers, you might decide that the beautiful dresses from BHLDN are not worth the frustration you may go through if you have to deal with customer service on any level.

Stunning gowns

There are 104 wedding dresses to admire and buy at BHLDN. You can shop by wedding dress season, collection, style, silhouette, ratings, and more. Some of the dresses have soft floral prints and others come in multiple shades of whites, pinks, reds, and greys. BHLDN's wedding dresses are stunning and fashionable. You can find sizes ranging from 0-26 in most designs.

Steep prices

One of the biggest shock factors at BHLDN is their pricing. Wedding dresses are typically one of the most expensive articles of clothing you'll ever buy, but when you find retailers selling them for a few hundred dollars, the price tags of a few thousand dollars at BHLDN take some mental readjusting. The least expensive wedding dress is $495 and you can spend up to $2,900. The vast majority of dresses are over $1,000, so buying here is a big financial commitment.

Order with time to spare

At the time of our most recent visit, BHLDN had a note about their shipping, letting brides know that they were experiencing supply chain issues and they apologized in advance if the dress didn't arrive in time for their event. This is definitely concerning, especially since customers have complained about this very thing. However, their standard shipping times say that most in-stock items ship within 24 hours of ordering, and usually take 5-8 business days to arrive. It's best if you order a dress from BHLDN well before your wedding takes place to ensure that you aren't looking for a new dress last minute if your BHLDN order gets delayed.

Long refund processing times

The return policy for dresses ordered from BHLDN gives customers a typical 30 days to return their items for a full refund. If you return your wedding dress after the 30 day window, you'll only be eligible for store credit. Most items need to be shipped back and can't be returned to a store, even if you have an Anthropologie or BHLDN near you. It may take up to 2-3 weeks to process returns: longer than some people would like, especially if they need that money toward buying a new dress elsewhere. Some customers report that they were charged up to $75 in restocking fees with no explanation from customer service as to why.

Alerts and warnings

Despite their professional website, stunning gowns, and high-end aura, this company is not as reputable as they seem. BHLDN has a lousy "D" rating from the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and their parent company Anthropologie has an even worse "F" rating. An alert from the BBB warns that Anthropologie often sends damaged products and rarely follows through on issuing refunds or exchanges when customers return their items. Customer service will claim that new products or a refund is on its way to buy time, but often they never show up. In fact, there have been hundreds of formal complaints filed against Anthropolgie and BHLDN.

Lots of room for improvement

There is so much potential for BHLDN, but we are extremely disappointed by how the company operates. Until they get their ducks in a row, this is not a good place to drop a couple thousand dollars on a wedding dress.
