For those who want to incorporate their own design into their special day, the site allows customers to upload their creation and use Vistaprint for the printing and envelopes. Users can easily create other items for their wedding, such as bridal shower and bachelorette invitations, menus and programs, RSVP cards and save-the-date announcements.

When creating a wedding invitation, customers can sort through options according to size and format (flat vs. folded), horizontal or vertical orientation, and color, as well as checking a box to include samples with an area for a logo or photos. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to sort by style (e.g. traditional vs. whimsical), so one would potentially need to look through hundreds of possibilities in order to find suitable matches. Alternately, customer service representatives are available by phone and live chat, seven days a week, to help customers choose the perfect design for their wedding style.

Vistaprint pricing is the most affordable among invitation retailers: most standard designs begin at $9 for 10 invitations, with decreasing per-invite prices for larger orders (e.g. $70 for 100 invitations). For a more refined look, customers can add linen paper to an order for an additional fee, or choose from the "luxury" section for the same designs in an ultra-thick stock. The latter option more than doubles the cost (for example, $168 for 100 invitations in the same design as previously quoted), and for that much extra we would have liked to see detailed information about the benefits of ordering a "luxury" style. Unfortunately, there was no information readily available, even when clicking the "Learn More" button.

Unlike many wedding invitation retailers, Vistaprint does not offer free shipping on any orders. Shipping costs for all orders are based on the total cost, starting with economy pricing of $4.99 for orders up to $20, up to $12.99 for orders over $100. Express shipping is also available, for an expensive $19.99 to $34.99.
