Wedding Planning Professional was designed and developed in Australia by Sockii Party Ltd. It's an app designed to track everything you need for your special day. This includes tasks, guests lists, vendors, budgets/cost, seating arrangements, notes, and even your wedding day itinerary. Wedding Planning Professional requires users to use iOs 6.0+, Mac OS X 10.8+, or Windows 10.
Features at a glance
Some of the features Wedding Party Professional offers at a glance includes iCloud, Dropbox, and 365 Direct Sync, a comprehensive timeline scheduler, a guest list manager, a task list, vendor list, budget planner, seating planner, ideas board, notes, planner summary, iCloud sharing, and the ability to handle unlimited plans and support different currencies.
App purchase + yearly subscription
The cost to download the app is $23.99 and then you'll have to pay $12.49 as a yearly subscription to get access to all the features. We'd like to know what their refund/cancellation policy is, but the FAQ section of their website has hardly any information on it. Plus, it needs a lot of backend support because the page takes you to a series of outdated links that look like they were developed in the 90s.
Nothing unique
There is no free trial for Wedding Planning Professional, but you can at least get screenshots and glimpses of the system on the iOS, Mac, and Windows tabs on their website. It also goes a little more into detail about all of the functionality of the program as well, so we recommend browsing through those. None of the features look especially unique or innovative, but maybe the simplicity of that is what some people are looking for.
No frequent app maintenance
We noticed on the App store that the lastest version history of the app had bug fixes, but it was 2 years ago. This makes us wonder if they're actively updating this program anymore. Many of the reviews are from 9+ years ago, so this isn't an app people are frequenting by any means.
Outdated reviews
The Better Business Bureau doesn't have a profile or rating for Wedding Planning Professional or Sockii Party Ltd. The outdated reviews are mixed with some saying there are lots of bugs and the app crashes frequently, while others felt like the company had great support and had an incredible to-do list and other features that kept them organized. However, it's hard to rely heavily on these since they are so outdated and a lot has changed technologically since then. Surely there are better options out there that are free and have the same benefits.
Not your best bet
We'd suggest trying other wedding planning options before attempting to use Wedding Planning Professional. It's not a super expensive choice by any means, but we can't be sure you'll get any sort of reliable assistance if your app has issues, and we wouldn't plan on getting a refund or being able to cancel easily. This does not seem like a very active system for wedding planning, so it's not going to be your best bet.
