Zola may sound familiar to you since they gained most of their popularity from their commercials and online advertising. They began solely as a wedding registry but have since added free tools like budgeting, website creation, to-do lists, invitation making, guest management and more. Their wedding website creation tool has become one of the most popular and widely-used, since people often come to Zola for their other features as well. There aren't a lot of custom changes that can be made on your wedding website here and it may take a minute to get the hang of the platform, but overall people are extremely satisfied in the end. It's completely free to use and Zola has an "A+” rating from the Better Business Bureau, making it the best choice out there.

Minted

Minted is a fun option for couples who want a nearly limitless amount of templates to explore when creating their wedding website. The designs are submitted by independent artists and you can purchase wedding invitations and cards to match the template you choose. Minted offers their wedding websites for free and includes the functionality to create guest lists and gather RSVPs, upload photos, link to a registry, add new pages, and more. It's a simple service to use and though it isn't as customizable as some, we really like what we found here. Minted earns the #2 spot on our list of resources for creating wedding websites.

Joy

Joy is an all-inclusive choice for people who want to personalize a wedding website, design invitations, gather addresses and track RSVPs from guests, and create a wedding registry. It costs nothing for couples, and although Joy's website is a little over-the-top, this wedding planning site produces satisfying results for people and offers valuable resources. If you want assistance organizing your wedding details for guests online without paying a dime for the service, consider using Joy for making your website.

Riley & Grey

Riley & Grey specializes in unique, beautiful templates that draw customers in more than some other wedding website design services. They have limited customizations, but this is appealing for some people. It costs $39/month for your website to be live or $299/year. This includes a custom URL that your guests can use to find your site. You can create invitations that match your template here as well. Riley & Grey comes recommended by users who overall have a great experience with their service and can rely on customer service when they need it. As a paid option, Riley & Grey is a great place to make a wedding website.

Say I Do

Say I Do is a simple place to make a wedding website. They have a free version that will work for some, but options to upgrade start at $50 and go up to $99. Templates aren't very customizable, but for those who want an easy experience and don't feel design-savvy, it will make life less stressful. Templates are minimalistic and we've definitely seen prettier ones elsewhere, but it hasn't deterred people from making their wedding website here and leaving high reviews about their experience. Say I Do is a good choice, though not one of our very favorites.

eWedding

eWedding has been around since 2002, providing tools that will save couples money when they're planning their special day. Their wedding website tool can be free, but to get the most out of it you'll want to upgrade to a premium account for $9/month. They have a limited number of themes and fonts to choose from, so this isn't the most personalizable option out there. We like the sections that users can add and that it's a simple platform, but as far as fully customizable wedding websites go, eWedding earns an average rating.

Squarespace

Squarespace is a fully custom website builder, primarily for small businesses. They have only 10 wedding templates, but you can make any template completely your own or start from scratch here, so the sky's the limit. A 15-day trial comes with your account and then you'll need to pay at least $16/month to keep your site up and running. You can do everything on a wedding website through Squarespace that you could on any other wedding website, but it's a lot more technical. Some people will love this, but in addition to some questionable user reviews, we feel like the custom aspect of this site is more than what most couples need, so Squarespace ranks as "just average” as a wedding website resource.

Wix

Wix is a great place for start-up businesses to create and host custom websites. They have AI tools to help create designs or hundreds of templates that can be endlessly personalized. As far as wedding websites go, it's great that you could make a free site here, but the tools are more complicated than you'd need. It could feel unnecessarily stressful to try and navigate all the features on Wix to create a straightforward wedding website when there are other companies who do this for you. Wix is great for businesses, but not great for wedding planners, so they aren't one of our favorite options.

The Knot

The Knot provides a long list of wedding planning tools for couples, including free websites. They have hundreds of templates to choose from, but customization is extremely limited. It's easy to substitute your own information for what's found in the template, but that's as far as you can go. Complaints of glitches and other frustrations with The Knot made us leery of wanting to use their service. They have an "F” rating from the Better Business Bureau too, so we wouldn't count on The Knot when creating your wedding website.

Lovebird

Lovebird has hundreds of beautiful wedding website templates, a simple layout, and is very easy to use. Unfortunately, their plans start at $49 and go up to $279 if you want to publish the website that you've created. You'd at least want the second-tier plan if you want guest RSVPs and other important features. All plans here come with digital invitations or save the dates, so you'll mostly want to use this service if you need more than just a wedding website to communicate with your guests. There are almost no user reviews for Lovebird, so we're interested in what people will say about this service over the years as they potentially gain more customers. For now, this is a hard sell since there are free wedding website services out there, earning Lovebird a lower rating here.
