The company also sells toppers and extensions. The more we read on the website,however, the more we suspect that something is "off" with this company. There is strange wording ("shop you style" on the home page for example), possibly indicating it was created by a foreign company, though LA Wig Company purports to be an American company without saying it ("founded to deliver best quality at best prices in the United States"). However, a search only turned up that the website is a "small, family-owned business" with an address in Long Beach, CA. Another place on the website indicated a placeholder for a heading, which could simply mean that the LA Wig Company never finished properly creating the online storefront.

With "individualistic" and fashionable wigs, UniWigs offers human hair wigs, synthetic wigs, and blended wigs, in such specialized styles like low-density with bangs and lighter density, Easily shop their collection of 169 wigs by choosing desired features and filtering by hair fiber, cap construction, and length. UniWigs also sells costume wigs (Harley Quinn, for example). Men's toupees are sold as "men's hair systems" with styles ranging from "elegant gentleman" to "cool funky." Hair toppers and extensions are also sold by UniWigs.
Listings show predominantly positive reviews
Each listing features the name of the wig and multiple photos, including those from customers and videos showing the wig in action. Customer reviews are also available on the listing (though they are all notably mostly positive ones). The description of the wig includes length, density, color, and cap size.

The company also offers a referral program in which you can earn rewards for sharing the website with your friends.

Uniwigs offers "easy, hassle-free returns." If you aren't completely happy, customers may submit a return request within 7 days of delivery and provide tracking within 14 days. A restocking fee will apply for those desiring a refund, though a store credit will not incur such a fee. A wig that is unaltered, unworn, undamaged, and free from styling products or odors, with the original tag and in original packaging may be eligible for return. Customers are responsible for the return shipping fee, though they may purchase discounted labels from UniWigs.

Factory featured on website
We found it interesting to learn more about the factory where UniWigs manufactures their alternative hair pieces. A video on the website shows inside the place where these pieces are made in Guizhou, China, by 150 people, predominantly women. UniWigs asserts the wigs are made in a work environment which is far from what comes to mind when picturing a foreign factory, including a daycare inside the factory where the company provides items for the children.
Some strange wording has us concerned
Though the company is USA-based with a factory overseas, we did notice some strange wording on the otherwise professional-looking website. (For example, regarding the daycare it says they have donated "150 pieces of toys," "which is why we are swift at introducing" in reference to new designs, and "customer show" above customer testimonials). This awkward phrasing is not enough to keep us from checking out what the company has to offer, but it put us on alert... and then we saw the BBB listing.
BBB warning and mixed reviews
According to the BBB, UniWigs is a China-based company, not accredited, with an "F" rating for failing to respond to complaints. The under 200 reviews for the company across various online platforms are mixed, ranging from 3.1 to 4.3, though some of the positive reviews are suspiciously vague and gushing, whereas the negative reviews are specific about the problems with wig construction and customer service. We advise using caution when purchasing from this company until more feedback is given and the BBB rating is raised.
Not the best choice
UniWigs is a lower-cost option with poor feedback and obvious website concerns. Unless you want a cheap customized wig or specifically want to try a unique toupee, we suggest looking elsewhere.
Weak
Wigsbuy is an online wig and hair extensions store, established in 2010, featuring celebrity-inspired wigs. Wigsbuy does not hide the fact that they are located in China (it's listed on their About Us page), unlike another company we reviewed. Unfortunately, this business is one we advise you to avoid for many reasons. Read on to see why.
Celebrity and model headshots without showing the wigs
Offering over 1,400 celebrity look-alikes and other wigs made from synthetic fibers and human hair, Wigsbuy sells wigs for both men and women, including Black women's wigs. The only one for a child is the same as the HairDo Kidz Collection brand featured on many other sites, though offered for a higher price and probably a knockoff since the brand is nowhere to be found on the listing. (Humorously, the description says it's suitable for women, though it's obviously a child in the photo). Further investigation reveals that Wigsbuy sells inexpensive wigs using celebrity and model photos without actually showing the wigs themselves.
Listings are not trustworthy
Each listing shows one photo (not a wig), types of cap, sizes, and colors (which are only listed as numbers with no way to see what the color looks like). There are reviews for the wigs on each listing, though they are all 5-star reviews and a lot of repeated content, a lot of it suspiciously fake-sounding, so we wouldn't put any stock in them.
Cheap wigs and free shipping but when will you get it?
There is no way to sort the wigs offered on the Wigsbuy website, but the lower-end synthetic wigs cost around $90. The human hair wigs are suspiciously lower than typical, though one was priced around $900. This is concerning and leads us to wonder if the wigs are truly made of real human hair as advertised. The website offered a pop-up discount for "up to 15% off any order" just by clicking it (and it keeps popping up as you shop on the site, which is annoying to say the least). Orders over $89 receive free shipping, according to the banner on the webpage, but their shipping policy page also says shipping is free when you buy wigs (probably because the lowest-price one was just over this price). The section went on to say that hair extensions and accessories over $39 would receive free shipping or pay $1. Another click provided a code for "up to 20% off" human hair wigs. We started to see a concerning pattern that led us to realize that we had encountered a foreign company masquerading as a legitimate wig company. The FAQs explain that standard shipping can take 7-18 days, though processing for lace front and full lace wigs is 20-35 business days. This leads us to question when the items will actually arrive.
Returns may be possible
Wigsbuy says you can "easily arrange an exchange" for an item in new condition within seven calendar days from the date of signing. You must contact their customer service to get the correct address for the return, which will be processed after your package is received by the company. However, reviews say it is difficult to contact the company or obtain a refund.
Customers warn against this company
Customers across review platforms warn you to steer clear of Wigsbuy because the customer service is unresponsive, packages are lost, and wigs received are completely different from items ordered. Reviews average 1.3-2 out of 5 stars. Some customers have left video and photo reviews to warn others away, so we suggest looking at those first if you are tempted to buy one of these cheap wigs. One of the other more reputable companies we reviewed even warned that this is a Chinese knock-off website. There is no BBB listing for this company.

Since Wigsbuy lets buyers know in their About Us section that it is a Chinese company, it earned an extra half-star. However, we advise staying far away from these cheap wigs and instead checking out one of our top choices so you don't end up disappointed like most reviewers.

In business since 2012, Rewigs offers discount wigs and does not charge shipping costs, though the reason for this appears to be that they are creating knock-off wigs in China and passing them off as quality alternative hair options. Buyer beware, and we'll tell you why.
Thousands of choices
Shop over 2,200 wigs at Rewigs, including 100% hand-tied, human hair, full lace, synthetic fiber, Black women's wigs, and natural-looking grey wigs. The company even says it sells "grey wigs for old ladies" - which we find to be a bit offensive and strange, given that many of the women in the photos aren't even of retirement age. The website also offers headband wigs, ponytails, hairpieces, bangs, buns, and more. Though there is a page to help you measure for size, many reviewers complained the wigs they received would not fit a child. The home page has many subcategories, making it easy to shop for the styles you want and avoid endless scrolling.
No wig photos
Wig listings on Rewigs feature at least one photo, with cap size, color swatches, length, style, density, material, and reviews (though another way this company seems suspect involves these wig reviews is the strange wording on many of the reviews we read, listing "reviewed buyer" as the title of the review or using an email address as the title). Unfortunately, Rewigs does not show any photos of the actual wigs, using instead stock photos of celebrities and models.
Too good to be true prices
Starting at $59 for a wig and just a few hundred dollars for a 100% human hair wig, Rewigs appears to offer a great deal for those looking for a new style. There are promo codes for discounts available on the Rewigs website, though we do not trust this company to provide what it offers based on what we have read in the reviews. Rewigs offers free shipping on all orders, or expedited shipping for $25. However, since they claim to make all of the wigs to order, they do not guarantee a delivery date, saying that it will take 5-7 working days plus "tailoring time." If you sign up for their free online account, they will give you $5 towards your order. However, since reviewers and other sources claim these are knock-offs or made of poor quality materials, you might not get what you see in the photos.
Return policy offered
There is a 90-day money-back guarantee at Rewigs (all the details are available on the website). However, numerous complaints against the company suggest you may never receive that refund so we suggest buyers beware.
China-based company may be a scam
In the FAQs, Rewigs claims, "All the hair products in our store are made to order," which seemed suspicious for a company selling wigs at such a low price. Combined with the mention of customs and other typos, this raised some red flags for us. As we continued to peruse the website, we found more language that led us to investigate the company ("Short hair makes you smart and pushy. ... Long hair is sweet and feminine."). We learned that Rewigs is listed on Simply Wigs as a fraudulent or scam wig company. Though the company has a location in the United States, it is based in China, resulting in delayed shipping and quality control issues (justread the numerous reviews across various platforms).

Rewigs is not accredited by the BBB and has an "F" rating for failure to respond to complaints - many of which involved poor wig quality, misrepresentation of wigs, shipping issues, and problems getting refunds. Across online review platforms, the company consistently is rated low, averaging just 1 to 2.5 out of 5 stars, and some of the positive reviews are sketchy and may be from paid reviewers. According to numerous online mentions, Rewigs is based out of China and sells knock-off wigs. One reviewer warned that the wig she received had no labels inside, was falling apart and the wrong size, and her return request was undeliverable. Others mention the company offering partial refunds and terrible quality of wigs, which do not "even look remotely like what you ordered."
