For most customers who just need a will, you can get away with the Basic, as long as you're not planning to edit your will anytime soon. This will complete the prep for your will while being less costly than some of the other will services that offer one-time payments. The cancellation policy at LegalShield is somewhat murky. We couldn't find any details about refunds, but cancellations themselves can be a bit tricky. You can cancel a monthly payment plan at any time, but you have to do so in writing. LegalShield requires that you email them directly and request cancellation. There's no way to do this on your own. For the annual plan, you are only able to cancel after your first 12 months on the plan, and there are no refunds for the annual membership either.
