Macy's has a large inventory and is one of the oldest, most well-known department stores in the world. Their women's shoes online offer massive choice and variety, as well as a website that makes it easy to shop. Macy's also offers a Pay in 4 interest-free option through Klarna and a loyalty club that offers discounts. These days, Macy's is looking toward major downsizing to 150 stores, while co-brands Blue Mercury and Bloomingdales will be adding more stores. We wonder if this is affecting customer service and the quality of products, as customers are reporting some issues. Still, we think Macy's remains a good place to shop for women's shoes.

Walmart is one of the most well-known big box retailers in the Western hemisphere. Known for offering a wide range of products, including tires, toys, and groceries, Walmart also sells women's shoes. They scored average because they have a huge selection of women's shoes; however, as expected, with the very lowest price, often workmanship is compromised. We found their shoes' quality just wasn't where we'd like it.
ShoeMall, with its terrible return policy along with the clear indications from customers that they are always mysteriously "out of stock" after customers place orders with sensitive personal information, makes us want to stay clear of this internet shoe shop. While they offer free shipping, you will pay for returns. Even if they accept your return, they still strongly encourage you to get shipping insurance. If you don't, even if the shoes arrive damaged or worn, or not the right pair at all, you will pay fees to return them. No deal is worth this hassle. Choose a higher-rated retailer on our list when shopping for women's shoes.

Short: DSW is a shoe store that specializes in brand-name shoes for the whole family. They are one of the largest designers, producers, and retailers of footwear and accessories in North America. Despite all of this, DSW has a shockingly negative number of customer reviews revealing some deceptive practices in its business model. We can't recommend DSW for women's shoes at this time.
