Worldwide Cyclery

WORLDWIDE CYCLERY

Visit Site

Worldwide Cyclery specializes in mountain bikes. They sell bikes, frames, accessories, apparel, and components from three locations (Newbury, CA, Lancaster, PA, and Sparks, NV) and online. The company is run by bike enthusiasts who ride regularly.

Clean and easy

The website is clean and easy to navigate. The site search feature includes look-ahead typing to show images and attributes of products that might match what you're looking for as you type. There is also a sale section for hot deals and clearance items on items from every category on the site.

Helpful videos

Worldwide Cyclery regularly publishes videos and blog posts that clearly document how to use and install products as well as other bicycling tips. In addition, their demo bike program at physical store locations allows you to take advantage of a short term trial (for a nominal fee) of multiple 3-5 top brand mountain bikes so you can get a feel for each bike and find just the right one for your height and build.

Best Bicycle Parts

Custom bike builds

For those who know exactly what they want, Worldwide Cyclery's experts will provide custom bike builds using high-end components and tailored to your every need.

Free shipping

Free U.S. shipping is available for every item. The 45-day return policy on unused items still in original packaging with the buyer responsible for shipping costs is also a plus. Bikes and frames can be returned for store credit only, but other items can be returned for refunds or exchanged for other products.

Excellent reviews

World Cyclery has tens of thousands of excellent verified buyer reviews across a variety of major eCommerce websites with the least amount of complaints among all the vendors we've reviewed.

Best for mountain bikes

Worldwide Cyclery has earned one of the highest ratings in our Bicycle Parts Stores category mainly due to the fact that they have the highest customer satisfaction of all. Unfortunately, we couldn't give them the highest rating because their product line is limited to just the mountain bike niche. But this is our top-rated vendor for anyone who is in the market for a bicycle parts store that specializes in high-quality mountain bikes.

Nashbar

NASHBAR

Visit Site

Nashbar has been in business since 1974 when it began as a small mail-order bicycle and parts company. Now it has a large following of loyal customers because of its simple website catalog of thousands of products from good-quality brands like Bell, Garmin, Mavic, Shimano, Yakima, and many others.

Simple search

The search and selection of products from Nashbar couldn't be simpler. You can search by part number or any keyword to find exactly what you are looking for. You can also browse by Accessories, Bikes & Frames, Clothing, Maintenance, Parts, Tires & Tubes, and Top Brands. To further narrow your search, use the filter feature to get the right store, category, product status, brake type, gender, speed, and many other facets of bicycle parts and accessories.

30 day return window

At any point in the purchase process, or after, you have the option to contact customer service by phone, chat, or an online form. Fortunately, if you want to make a return, you won't even have to contact Nashbar in advance unless you want a refund: as long as it's in new condition, in the original packaging, and you're okay with getting store credit. Under any other circumstances - you want a refund, it's outside of the 30-day window, and so on - you'll need to reach out first. Nashbar reserves the right to charge a 15% restocking fee as well.

Good value

Nashbar's products are not seen by the bicyclist community as being the highest-end, highest-performance, most expensive types of offerings. However, they do tend to fit into the product niche of "good quality for a fair price". Because of this, over time Nashbar has accumulated a large number of high recommendations from thousands of satisfied customers. People appreciate Nashbar's wide selection, good customer service, generous return policy, and product longevity.

Solid choice

There are some rare exceptions. Some customers complained of bad customer service having to do with problems redeeming gift cards and rude customer service representatives. But judging by the overwhelming numbers of good reviews, those occasional problems shouldn't deter customers from purchasing from Nashbar as a decent source of bicycle parts.

Continued from above

If you're not lucky enough to have a knowledgeable bicycle parts store near you, you may feel a little lost when your kickstand breaks, your chain just won't go back on anymore, or you simply need to replace a popped tube. Where can you turn? That's easy: shop online!

Online bicycle parts stores can take the guesswork out of getting what you need, with helpful customer reps who can answer questions and recommend the exact components to fit whatever you're riding. Of course, the best stores also have a generous return policy, in the event that you don't get it quite right and need to return or exchange your purchase.

But, not all businesses are created equal. How can you decide where to buy what you need? When looking for bicycle parts store, some important things to consider include:

  • Selection. Does the vendor have a wide range of bikes and bike parts to serve a variety of needs?
  • Policies. What are the shipping, return, exchange, and price matching policies of each vendor?
  • Customer Service. How does each vendor stack up in terms of the overall customer experience, including positive and negative reviews?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best bicycle parts stores to help you find the perfect bike, build a new bike from scratch, or fix your current bike. We hope this information helps you find the right bicycle parts store for your needs!
