Cost:

Starting from $29.99

TopConsumerReviews.com Best-In-Class Blue Ribbon Award ChecksWorks manufactures personal and business checks that are sold directly to customers as well as through banks and credit unions. They pride themselves on being both stylish and affordable. CheckWorks boasts that in addition to their cheap prices, they include 30% more checks in every box.

Generous return policy

CheckWorks receives an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. We imagine there are many reasons for this, including their generous return policy that we don't often see with business check retailers. Customers may return their purchases within 60 days of the ship date for replacements or money refunds. We also like that CheckWorks never sells any customer information they receive during the purchase process.

Best Business Checks

7 built-in security features

In addition to not selling customer information, CheckWorks has seven security features included with their checks to protect against fraud. These security measures include:

  • Chemically Sensitive Paper
  • Microprint Signature Line
  • Security Screen
  • Padlock Icon and Warning Box
  • Additional Security Features (kept private to provide protection)
  • CheckWorks Security Features
  • Heat Sensitive Ink

Low prices

CheckWorks sells 3-on-a-page, laser checks, payroll & multipurpose, 1-on-a-page/travelers, and desk checks. The prices on all business checks give their competitors a run for their money. For 600 checks, customers can expect to pay about $46.99, which is almost half of what some other retailers charge. In addition, CheckWorks offers free shipping on all check orders. You really can't beat the prices here!

Highest rating

CheckWorks is a great place to buy business checks. They don't have a wide range of styles, but usually flashy prints are reserved for personal checks, rather than professional transactions. We are impressed by the affordable prices here. We also like that their website is clean and easy to use. With their A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, you really can't go wrong with this service. CheckWorks has earned our highest rating among business check retailers.

Cost:

Starting from $23.96

Checks Unlimited was the first major direct-mail check printer, established in 1986. They have come a long way since being in business. At first they offered 13 check designs, but now offer over 70. Checks Unlimited has over 37 million customers and an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau (BBB). However, some negative customer feedback does not reflect this high rating from the BBB, and we are concerned with reports of lost checks, poor customer service, and products that lack quality.

Frustrating website

Another disappointment with Checks Unlimited we noticed right away is that they need to do some major website updates. Their web design is text-heavy with different sizes of fonts and colors jumping out at you as you browse. It is a little overwhelming to search their inventory online because their information is not as straightforward as some of their competitors.

Software integration

Checks Unlimited sells manual checks, computer checks, deposit tickets, and accessories. Their computer checks integrate with the following software:

  • Checkmark
  • Great Plains
  • Intuit
  • Microsoft Corp.
  • MECA - Managing Your Money
  • MicroEdge
  • Peachtree
  • Simply Media/Simply Money

Securiguard safety

Some of the business checks come with up to 13 different styles and designs to choose from. Others have as few as only one option. Checks Unlimited also offers special Securiguard checks that come with a reflective hologram, chemical protection, erasure protection, and a microprint signature line to protect against fraud. These checks are available in blue or parchment and come in 3-on-a-page, check-on-top, and no voucher formats.

Free shipping

We recommend checking out the special offers page when ordering from Checks Unlimited. At the time of this review, there was a discount code for free shipping as well as a code for 20% off all checks. Free shipping is not something we see often among business check retailers, so we were happy to find that here. Pricing at Checks Unlimited is comparable to their competitors' pricing, with some products being a little less expensive. For Quickbooks computer checks, Checks Unlimited advertises that you can get 500 for as little as $83.80.

Better options available

As far as pricing and products, Checks Unlimited is not a bad place to shop. However, our main concerns are both the lack of website appeal and usability as well as some criticism they receive from unhappy customers. Many people have reported errors with the checks they have been shipped and say that working with customer service is difficult. This is not a good thing to have to deal with when you're working with personal, financial information. You will want a reliable retailer that helps you through the full ordering process to protect your information. Because of this, we suggest purchasing from a higher-rated business checks site.

Continued from above

When using these programs for payroll or other expense reports, data can be printed directly on the laser checks from a company's computer in a way that fits the existing format. Manual checks can be written on by hand just like you would a personal check. Some checks have special details like holograms to make it so they cannot be fraudulently duplicated.

Business checks can be ordered directly from the bank they are tied to, but this limits the selection and pricing options that businesses have. By purchasing business checks online, companies can cut costs while expanding their options. Comparing pricing with other business check retailers is a great way to ensure you are getting the best deal.

When searching for business checks, consider the following things to ensure you get the best deal and online shopping experience:

  • Cost. How do the costs compare to what your company is spending right now? Are they more affordable than business checks sold by their competitors?
  • Selection. Is there a wide range of color options? Formats? Security features?
  • Website functionality. Find a company that won't waste your time. You will want to be able to find what you are looking for right away rather than scrolling through hundreds of products you don't need.

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best business checks retailers available today. We hope these reviews help you find the business checks you need conveniently and affordably.
