USAA

USAA has partnered with The Hartford to provide a long list of business insurance options for military professionals and their families. The website is informative but the quote process is not automated. However, shoppers can anticipate speaking with an agent that is familiar with business insurance for USAA members and finding the best coverage at a great rate.

COVER WALLET

CoverWallet loves entrepreneurs, start-ups, and small businesses of every type - largely because this Business Insurance resource was started by tech entrepreneurs too. They’re one of the newer platforms on the market, and they’re experiencing some growing pains accordingly - demonstrated by a somewhat frustrating quote process and a disappointing record of complaints registered at the BBB. While we hope to see better results from CoverWallet in the future, for now they wind up at the bottom of the list behind more established providers of Business Insurance.

When deciding on which company to start with, for your business insurance needs, consider the following first:

  • Reliability. Does the company in question have a strong Better Business Bureau rating? How strong in their A.M. Best (insurance rating) compared to others? Will the company be honest and reliable when you most need them?
  • Convenience. Can you obtain small business insurance quotes online or do you have to speak to an agent? Will you only speak with 1 agent or several?
  • Informative. Is the website educational and informative? Will it help you decide what type of business insurance you need to best cover you financially?
