Simple Canvas Prints may not have been in business as long as some of the companies in our review, but they've made a splash in just a few years. Based in Central Florida, this business has a whole list of perks designed to inspire your trust, earn your business, and, most of all, to provide you with "museum quality canvas prints, guaranteed for life".
Right away, Simple Canvas Prints wanted to grab our attention. We had overlapping pop-ups/notifications asking if we'd like to be notified of any Private VIP Deals, as well as a $10 + 10% discount for entering our email address. Plus, at the time we visited the site, there was an ongoing promotion of free shipping, 75% off, and a $10 discount on any orders over $100.
So, what about those perks we mentioned? First, Simple Canvas Prints has a "100% Love It" Guarantee - that they stand by completely. You'll be blown away by their policy: no matter if the mistake is yours or theirs, no matter the reason, you can get a full refund on any canvas print you order, no questions asked. They'll even refund your original shipping costs. You only need to send in a small section of the canvas - not the whole thing - so even your return shipping costs can be as inexpensive as a stamp.
If you'd like professional help in making your image flawless, Simple Canvas Prints has three choices:
Creating your finished product is easy with Simple Canvas Prints. Pick your favorite photo from Instagram or Facebook, or choose a saved image from your computer to get started. At first glance, we were disappointed: it looked like we were only being offered a total of four canvas sizes: 8x8, 10x10, 12x12, and 20x20. Then we realized that we had to select the layout we preferred, and it defaulted to "square". We found many more sizes under the Portrait and Landscape buttons, ranging from 8x10 up to 30x36.
Next, you'll start customizing your overall look. You can get your canvas rolled or with a 0.75" wrap at no extra charge, or pay an extra $20 for the 1.5" wrap. Then, choose whether you want the image to wrap over the sides, or if you'd prefer black or white sides. If you want to crop your image, resize it or zoom, you'll find that on the following screen. You can also get photo filters; black/white and sepia or free, and oil painting, comic book, and pop art are available for an extra $4.99. You won't see a preview of how your uploaded image will look with these filters, so you may want to try that out on your image using your phone first.
Want a museum quality image? You can get a Fine Art Pearl Finish for $6.99. Need a black frame? That's $32.40. Hardware for hanging is also extra, but reasonably priced.
The only "extra" that left us scratching our heads a little was the "Win $99 in Cash!" contest; we could pay 99 cents to enter a drawing for a chance to be one of 5 lucky monthly winners. We're not sure why Simple Canvas Prints threw that in there.
We were also puzzled as we watched the price of our canvas go up and down as we clicked through the order screens. We started with a basic 8x8 with an exorbitant initial price of more than $100 - but, like many canvas print companies, there are always discounts in place, so our actual prices was more like $4.99. But, while we clicked through the different screens, that price went up to as much as $27 even when we hadn't added features or changed anything. Fortunately, by the time we got to the order page, everything was as expected.
We were really excited to see that our order would ship for free if we spent at least $10; that definitely motivated us to buy an extra print. When we did this, however - simply by changing our quantity from 1 to 2 - we found that we were being charged $4.99 for the first print and $26.05 for the second copy of the exact same image and style. There was no explanation as to why the price changed. It did make us eligible for that free shipping, though, so we could expect that they would take 14-18 business days in production and another 4-6 for delivery.
If you need your order faster than that, you can opt for $9.98 regular delivery (6-8 business days production, 4-6 for delivery) or $16.98 expedited (1-2 business days in production, 1-4 business days for delivery). Even those fees are some of the most reasonable we found among companies selling canvas prints.
It's easy to see why customers are crazy about Simple Canvas Prints. Low prices, reasonable shipping costs (with the possibility of free shipping too), and an ironclad customer satisfaction guarantee are all extremely compelling when you look at what other businesses have to offer. And, across the board, people are very pleased with the end results: high-quality canvas prints that last and a business that stands by what it sells.
Although we saw a few glitchy things during the order process, our overall experience was a good one. As you consider the various companies that want to earn your business, you'll have a hard time finding many that offer as much as Simple Canvas Prints.
Canvas Champ proudly proclaims that they offer "Cheap Canvas Prints!" These prints include canvas, of course, but also wood, acrylic and metal, as well as photo pillows, banners, engraved plaques, and much more.
Watch for special offers: when we visited the Canvas Champ site, almost immediately we got a pop-up saying we could get a free 8x8 canvas print on an order of more than $25 if we gave them our email address. Canvas Champ also offers a complimentary rewards program; for every $2 you spend, you'll get 1 reward point. Rewards can be redeemed in groups of 10 points for a $1 discount. There are higher-tier rewards at spend levels of $1000 and $4000; you'll find more information by clicking on the Rewards Program link at the top of the page.
At first glance, Canvas Champ's selection of canvas sizes looks small: 5x7, 8x8, 11x14, 16x20, 20x30, and custom. But, looking around a little further, we found many more options that included mosaic prints, hexagon-shaped canvas, and multi-panel, split-style canvas in diptych, triptych, and quadriptych styles.
Like many of the canvas print companies we reviewed, Canvas Champ's "regular" prices are high, starting at a whopping $63.55 for a 5x7 print. However, there was an equally-hefty 93% discount in place, bringing our total down to a much more attractive price of $4.45.
The interface for uploading photos was easy to use: choose an image from your computer, or connect with your Facebook or Instagram account to select a photo there. Our image loaded quickly. Make sure to check the tabs at the top of the page once you've uploaded your photo, or you'll miss the chance to select the following options:
On our order, our shipping options were $7.99 for standard (delivery within 14 calendar days), $28.98 for express (delivery within 10 calendar days), and $38.98 for priority (delivery within 5 calendar days).
Canvas Champ has two customer-friendly guarantees. First, if you find a better published price for your canvas print, they'll match that price and give you an extra 10% discount on your order. Second, if you find any errors in printing, design, or materials, you can request a full refund or replacement.
This last guarantee is particularly important: although many customers are very happy with the canvas prints they received from the company, we found more than a few who said that the prints were lesser quality than they expected. If you're an average consumer who just wants a fun way to display some family photos, you may not notice or care; however, avid photographers and print experts may find flaws that they can't ignore. We also found several instances where customers had a hard time getting a satisfactory response from Canvas Champ, with even the reprints coming out as poor quality. These prints typically ship from India, so as you might imagine there are also complaints about orders damaged during shipping.
On the other hand, Canvas Champ is an accredited business with the BBB and maintained an excellent "A" rating at the time of this updated review. They also have thousands of reviews across various sites that do give them 4- and 5-star ratings, so obviously they're still doing many things right. For this reason, Canvas Champ gets an extra half-star in their rating, compared with their previous review; we're hopeful that they will continue in a positive direction and possibly resolve some of the print quality and shipping issues that have been a problem for a number of customers in the past.

To help you find the Best Canvas Prints, TopConsumerReviews.com provides you with an in-depth comparison of Simple Canvas Prints and Canvas Champ.
Who has the best Canvas Prints? Gone are the days where the best way to display a treasured photograph was in a traditional frame. Most home decoration TV shows, magazines, and websites feature canvas prints as the most modern-yet-elegant format for showing off your children, favorite scenic shots from a vacation, or even spotlighting your four-legged family members.

When working with an online supplier of canvas prints, you'll find that the best websites will walk you through everything you need to know - from how to select an ideal image, the best canvas size for your selected photograph, which framing to use, and which touch-up services like fixing color balance or adding text elements might give it a special touch.
How can you tell which canvas print company you should use for your next project? Services vary widely, so as you decide which one would meet your needs, keep these factors in mind:

Types of Pictures That Make Good Canvas Prints
We've all had a "Kodak" moment. Maybe it was the first time you saw a baby fawn taking its first steps in a field. Maybe it was that fantastic waterfall you encountered at the end of a hike in the wilderness. Or maybe it was just your grandma, sitting on her rocking chair on the front porch of her hundred-year-old home. Whatever the moment, we've all had one where we just knew it would make a memorable photo.
Photos that can only be classified as "Kodak" moments definitely are the kinds that make excellent canvas art.
But what, exactly, is canvas art?
Canvas art is created through a specialized printer which requires special eight to 12 color inkjet printers containing UV-resistant ink. You want to use UV-resistant ink because if the canvas will be hung on a wall, it most likely will at some point be exposed to sunlight, which can cause it to fade. UV-resistant ink helps to slow the fading process. The printer is designed to accommodate canvas, which is heavier than most of the kinds of paper we use in our home and office printers.
A high-resolution photo or digital image is then taken, scanned into a computer, and printed onto the canvas with the special printer.
Once you understand the process, it is much easier to choose photos or digital images which would lend themselves to the creation of a good canvas piece.
The first step in choosing a picture that would make a good canvas print is to make sure the image being used is of a high resolution. Most new cameras are capable of 8 to 12 megapixel images, with more expensive digital SLR cameras able to produce even higher resolutions. The general rule of thumb is if the image isn't at least 350 dpi (dots per inch), it will not reproduce well onto canvas. If you are unsure whether your photo or digital image is of good enough quality for printing onto canvas, consider consulting a professional photographer or canvas art business before placing an order. They should be able to review the image or print photo and tell you if it will reproduce well.
If the quality of the photo is acceptable, you also may want to ask the printing company if they are able to edit or "brush up" the photo for you. Issues like red eye, smears and even dust on the lens of the camera can transfer to your canvas art. These are all things that with the right photo-editing equipment - such as Photoshop - can be altered to create a better-looking image.
Among some of the images which have found their way onto canvas include:
The list of what can be transferred to canvas is endless and truly depends on the taste of the individual who is ordering the piece.
