Get Help Managing Your Cholesterol With Vasacor Today! What is the best Cholesterol product?? In the past, many doctors relied on prescription medications that used statins to lower levels of "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and raise "good" cholesterol (HDL) levels. But, according to the Mayo Clinic, these drugs come with a scary list of potential side effects: muscle pain, liver damage, and even a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes, just to name a few.

However, the CDC still recommends that people with high cholesterol - typically considered to be a total reading of 200+, LDL levels of 100+, HDL levels less than 60, or triglycerides of 150+ - make the effort to improve their numbers. Why? If you have high blood cholesterol, you have a higher-than-average risk of heart disease and stroke, two of the leading causes of death in the US.

Cholesto-Rite

CHOLESTO-RITE Visit Site

Cost:

$39.95 for 1 bottle (10-30 days' supply, depending on dosage)

Cholesto-Rite is a 100% herbal supplement that can help support healthy levels of HDL and LDL cholesterol. The capsules are free from gluten and lactose, and are both kosher and vegetarian.

Cholesto-Rite contains 3 active ingredients:

  • Certified Organic Red Yeast Rice: used for improving circulation, supporting cardiovascular/spleen/stomach health
  • Guggul Gum Extract: a common ingredient in natural cholesterol supplements, this component has been used by practitioners of Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years to lower cholesterol in combination with a diet that is heart-healthy
  • Rooibos Leaf: used as an antioxidant because of its high levels of polyphenols

Depending on how you choose to use Cholesto-Rite, it may be more expensive than other cholesterol products we reviewed. The recommended dosage is 1-2 capsules taken with a small amount of water or juice, 2-3 times per day. Of course, if you take the lowest dosage, a 60-capsule bottle will last 30 days for a total cost of $39.95/month.

Natural Remedies offers numerous ways to save money on your purchase. Sign up for their email newsletter and get a 15% discount and free shipping in your next order. Also, most of the products they sell come with a Buy 2 Get 1 Free option, so you can either stock up on Cholesto-Rite or try out some of their supplements for other conditions, like allergies or high blood pressure.

Everything sold by Native Remedies, including Cholesto-Rite, comes with an excellent 1-year money-back guarantee. They require you to try a product for at least a month before you can request a refund - because they want you to take the time to see if it works for you, and that can take awhile (especially with a condition like high cholesterol, that may require lab work to see if it's working).

While there aren't many reviews of Cholesto-Rite on the Native Remedies site, they are all very positive. One user said that the supplement brought his cholesterol levels down, even though the product is designed to support healthy levels and not necessarily to reduce high cholesterol. Native Remedies also does a consistently terrific job at responding to customer questions and concerns, as you'll see in the Q&A section of the Cholesto-Rite product page.

If you are looking for a completely herbal supplement that can help your body maintain healthy levels of cholesterol, Cholest-Rite by Native Remedies is a good option.

Cholesterol Support

Cost:

$33.25 for a 1-month supply

$99.75 for a 4-month supply

Offered by Vitabase, Cholesterol Support is a circulatory and heart supplement that can help improve cholesterol levels that aren't showing improvement through diet and exercise alone.

We weren't overly impressed by the Vitabase site. When we tried to use the Supplement Advisor through the link at the top of the website, we were taken to a blank page. The same thing happened when we spotted the Supplement Advisor on the main page and entered our gender and age. While it wasn't hard to navigate product pages like the one for Cholesterol Support, the overall feel of the website was outdated and had lots of text in small print.

But, there are still a lot of positives offered by Cholesterol Support. Taken as one tablet at each meal (3 tablets per day total), this supplement contains a long list of ingredients:

  • Niacin
  • Vitamins B6 and B12
  • Folic Acid
  • Chromium
  • Inositol
  • Policosanol
  • Plant Sterols
  • Tocotrienols
  • Guggulipid
  • Soy Bean Extract
  • Phosphatidylcholine
  • Pantethine
  • Oat Bran
  • Grape Seed Extract
  • Garlic
  • Artichoke Extract

Best of all, Vitabase provides ample evidence for how each ingredient can help you lower your cholesterol levels or maintain your already-healthy levels. You'll see a short description of each ingredient on the product page, and you'll find many more links for additional information at the bottom of the page.

Vitabase also offers a rewards program; you're automatically signed up when you create an account with the business, and you'll earn one point for every dollar you spend. Your points will expire if you don't place at least one order every 6 months.

The store has a 60-day refund policy if you decide that Cholesterol Support isn't working for you. You can only get a refund on one opened bottle of the supplement, and on any unopened bottles. You'll need to contact Vitabase for an RMA in order to be eligible for a refund, and you may have to pay a 10% restocking fee.

Vitabase has a good reputation: an "A+" with the Better Business Bureau and a history spanning nearly two decades. While we had to search for the product on a third-party site (you'll find the link right underneath the Cholesterol Support product image) to see customer reviews, the dozen we found were almost all positive. Some people said that you'll probably have to use Cholesterol Support for several months before seeing a change, which can be tricky with a 60-day return policy. We'd love to see Vitabase extend that policy to 6 months or even a year, especially since most of our highest-rated products already have that.

Of course, the best course of action is to not develop high cholesterol in the first place. But, for people who have tried to improve their eating habits, lose weight, get regular physical activity, limit alcohol consumption and quit smoking and still find themselves facing high cholesterol levels, what options are available?

The good news? It is possible to achieve healthy levels of blood cholesterol without the negative side effects associated with taking statins. How? Through all-natural supplements that can work in conjunction with other healthy habits, effectively lowering bad cholesterol and increasing good cholesterol.

When considering these products, how can you decide which one will be the most effective in reducing your high cholesterol? You'll want to evaluate each supplement according to the following criteria:

  • Effectiveness. What ingredients are included in the supplement? Are they clinically proven to work? Are there any ingredients that may not be suitable for your needs (for example, soy or lactose, if you're allergic)? What do other users say about the results they achieved - or didn't achieve - while using this cholesterol product? How long did it take for them to see results?
  • Cost. How much will it cost to get a monthly supply of this supplement? Pay close attention to the dosage amount: some supplements contain a 1-month supply in the bottle, while others may require higher dosages in the beginning, resulting in a higher initial cost. Is the product competitive with other cholesterol options?
  • Refund Policy. If you try the cholesterol product and it doesn't work well for you, can you get your money back? How much time are you given to try the product while still being eligible for a refund?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best Cholesterol products available today. We hope this information helps you find the ideal supplement for improving your cholesterol levels - naturally and with no harmful side effects!
