Cost:

Starting at $22.95 per shipment for two 12 oz bags

Amazing Clubs is the #1 provider of gourmet gifts clubs in America. One of their top-rated gifts is the coffee club. Compared to higher rated coffee clubs, Amazing Clubs coffee club is somewhat basic. The only options available to club members are the grind, duration, and frequency.

Coffee Club Membership Overview

  • Selection: Two 12 oz bags - 100% Arabica beans from roasters around the world
  • Duration: Monthly, 3-month, 6 month, 12, month
  • Frequency: Monthly, quarterly
  • Shipping: Free

Each Amazing Clubs coffee club shipment includes two new and different varieties of 12 oz each and a coffee lover's newsletter The Daily Grind. When setting up the coffee club choose between fresh ground or whole bean and then choose the length of the club.

Coffee Club options

Here is a breakdown of the club types:

  • Seasonal - $24.95 per quarter ($99.80 total – 4 shipments), ground or whole bean)
  • Monthly - $24.95 per month, ground or whole bean
  • 3 month - $24.95 per month ($74.85 total – 3 shipments), ground or whole bean
  • 6 month - $23.95 per month ($143.70 total – 6 shipments), ground or whole bean
  • 12 month - $22.95 per month ($275.40 total – 12 shipments), ground or whole bean

Free shipping, satisfaction guarantee

You can pay for the club membership per shipment or in full. Unfortunately, there is no discount for paying in full. Amazing Clubs has free shipping on all club deliveries and the "They'll Love It Guarantee". If the club recipient is not satisfied for any reason, Amazing Clubs will do everything they can to make them happy. They also price match on exact items. Also, we did see a pop-up on the website to save $10.00 on seasonal memberships, $15.00 on 6 month, and $25 on 12 month. And though Amazing Clubs is a gift club website, if no one gifts the coffee club to you, go ahead and get it for yourself.

We like Amazing Clubs' recipient satisfaction guarantee, free shipping for all club deliveries, and that each shipment is filled with two unique and never shipped before varieties. Amazing Clubs scores a lower rating due to a lack of multiple coffee clubs and few choices for customization.

Cross Country Cafe

CROSS COUNTRY CAFE

Cost:

$27.08/month

Cross Country Café is unique in our review of coffee clubs because they offer K-Cup coffee clubs. There are two clubs to choose from: the Flavored K-Cup Coffee Tour and the Signature Roast K-Cup Coffee Tour. Each delivers a monthly installment of two different 24 pack cases of K-Cups. All varieties are hand selected by the Cross Country Café team.

Coffee Club Membership Overview

  • Selection: Two 24ct cases of K-Cups
  • Duration: Monthly, cancel anytime
  • Frequency: Monthly
  • Shipping: $8.00

For the K-Cup user, this may be your best bet for a coffee club, and though the price is comparable to buying them as needed from your local store, the ease of home delivery is a nice perk.

2 Coffee Clubs to choose from

The two K-cup coffee clubs offered are:

  • Flavored K-Cup Coffee Tour – includes seasonal favorites and everyday classics
  • Signature Roast K-Cup Coffee Tour – coffees from exotic coffee growing areas like Sumatra, Kenya, Hawaii, and Columbia

These K-Cups are compatible with any machine which uses K-Cups. When visiting the site, we had the option to receive a $5.00 coupon by entering an email address. We also found a free shipping option on the website for orders over $59.00. Unfortunately, though, since that is more than twice the cost of a monthly subscription, members will typically never receive free shipping.

K-Cups only

Unfortunately, Cross Country Café only caters to K-Cup users. Because of that limitation they lacked the option of those clubs rated higher. Also, they charge $8.00 for shipping, something no other company in our review does. With these drawbacks Cross Country ranks near the bottom or our review.

Continued from above

If you're just stepping away from the same old coffee, day after day, you may not yet know the perfect style for you. Or perhaps you already know you're into subtle fruit or chocolate notes, a medium bodied and balanced blend, or a brew with a sweet, mellow acidity. In any case, we believe the best way to feed your cravings or find your favorite coffee, while exploring the world's great coffee options, is with a coffee club.

While there may be a handful of products in your neighborhood grocery store, these brands barely scratch the surface of what the market has to offer. From Central America, South America, and Hawaii to Africa and Southeast Asia, quality coffee growing regions are spread across the world: each with unique characteristics and flavor profiles. And around the globe the best coffee roasters turn an abundance of beans into seemingly endless varieties. These choices are what the best coffee clubs offer.

With consumers wanting choices and so many great roasters to choose from, it's not surprising that coffee clubs have become more and more popular over the past few years. Equally unsurprising is the fact that coffee club features vary almost as much as the coffee itself. Do your research to select the perfect club for you. Some points to consider are:

  • Price. What is the subscription cost and will you need to pay for shipping? Does the club offer any discounts for longer memberships?
  • Frequency. How often will a shipment be sent? Do you have choices or is there only one option? Can you cancel any time?
  • Flexibility. Are there different subscription types? Can you choose your roast, bag size, or grind?
  • Selection. What comes in each shipment? Is it the same style of coffee each time or are you able to try other styles/roasts?
