David's Cookies was founded in 1979 in New York City. Years later the company created an online cookie and dessert store. David's Cookies specializes in cookies, brownies, monthly dessert clubs, cheesecakes, cookie dough and more.
Cookie club selections are prearranged and scheduled by David's Cookies. For example, some of the monthly deliveries include double chocolate chunk, ginger molasses, butterscotch pecan, and peanut butter with Reese's. Gift recipients will receive their first cookie assortment along with a gift message from the gifter. If inclined, recipients can also look online at the calendar to know what cookies they can expect during the duration of their membership.
The cost of the cookie club starts at $69.95 for a 1 pound, 3 month subscription, and includes all shipping costs. You can choose from a 3, 6, 9, or 12 month subscription. David's Cookies also lets you choose between a 1-pound or a 2-pound cookie assortment for each delivery. Their prices are very affordable and are a much lower cost than many other club memberships.
David's Cookies has a customer-friendly satisfaction policy. If you're less than satisfied with the quality or freshness of the cookies in a delivery, David's Cookies will either re-ship the item or refund you for the cost. With the long history of being in business, it's nice to know that David's Cookies places a priority on pleasing their customers.
For those that enjoy quality, delicious cookies from a cookie expert, David's Cookie Club is a great option with fair pricing. The customer service team is friendly and answered our questions quickly and professionally. If you're looking to give a cookie club membership for any occasion, David's Cookies should be your first stop. They earn our highest rating.
For nearly 15 years, Amazing Clubs has aimed to deliver the most high-quality, gourmet items across dozens of categories ranging from Cheese to BBQ Sauce. And, with a staggering 2 million satisfied customers, this gift club provider has a reputation for sending only the very best.
Amazing Club's Cookie Club is an excellent choice for your gift-giving needs. Why? First, your recipient will get not one but two delicious cookie varieties in each box they receive - why have just one kind of cookie if you can have two? Each type of cookie is carefully selected by the company's taste-testing professionals, and every batch is baked with premium, all-natural ingredients. Previous shipments have included Classic Snickerdoodles/Triple Chocolate Chunk, Lemon White Chocolate Chip/Pecan Chocolate Chunk, and Oatmeal Raisin/Sugar Cookies.
Amazing Clubs also includes their monthly newsletter, The Crumbled Cookie, which offers fun cookie facts, details about the origin of both types of cookie, and more.
Another attractive feature of Amazing Clubs is the flexible delivery and payment options. You can choose to have deliveries sent for 3, 6, or 12 months, or opt for the Seasonal Club with shipments every 3 months. And, unlike most gift subscriptions on the market, you can opt to pay as you go each month or for the total cost of the full membership - it's totally up to you, and you won't pay anything extra for either payment plan. Shipping costs are included in the subscription cost.
You'll get added flexibility in their gift-giving options. You can choose when you want the cookies to start being delivered, and print or email the gift announcement whenever you like.
If you're looking for a top-rated Cookie Club that's literally guaranteed to deliver only the best-tasting, freshest cookies to your friends, loved ones, or business associates, Amazing Clubs is definitely a name to know.
The Cookie Club is backed by Amazing Club's 100% satisfaction guarantee: love it or get your money back is their bottom line. Of course, if you take the time to read through their reviews - both on the Cookie Club page and elsewhere online - you'll soon see that people have very sweet things to say about the treats received. We found many compliments regarding the stylish-and-reusable tins in which the cookies are packaged (compared with individually-wrapped cookies with no tin that are sold by some of Amazing Clubs' competitors), the freshness of the baked goods, and the nice variety of cookies delivered.
Originally begun as a boutique cookie shop in Columbus, Ohio, Cheryl's Cookies evolved to become a well-rounded source of treats of many kinds. However, cookies are still their main focus, including a signature buttercream frosting for cut-out sugar cookies. In 2005, the business merged with the 1-800-Flowers family of brands while still providing freshly-baked goods according to the highest possible quality standards.
Cheryl's Cookies blew us away with the variety of Cookie Clubs that they offer: Buttercream Frosted, Kids' Cookies/Books/Plushies, Gourmet Cookie, Gluten Free Cookie/Brownie, Classic Brownie, and Sugar-Free Cookie. No other club in our review gives customers such a wide range of options, allowing customers to get just the right delivery for their special someone - especially for those with dietary needs like gluten- or sugar-free.
On the other hand, their Cookie Clubs have much less flexibility in terms of their delivery options: no matter which club you choose, you're limited to 6 or 12 months. Each shipment includes an average of 8-12 individually-wrapped cookies or brownies, working out to be $1 to $2+ per cookie or brownie.
Also, Cheryl's Cookies doesn't offer free shipping on every order. For example, on the Butter Cookie monthly club, we were charged $6.99 per shipment. That's 33% of the cost of the actual monthly shipment at $19.99 per month. It may be worth considering the Celebrations Passport: for an annual membership fee of $29.99, you'll get free shipping from a family of brands that includes The Popcorn Factory, 1-800-Flowers, and Harry & David. Given that you could be spending nearly $85 just to ship a one-year subscription to the Cookie Club, it might be worth the money - especially if your gift-giving regularly includes the other companies in the Passport program.
On the positive side, Cheryl's Cookies guarantees that you will be 100% satisfied with the quality of your Cookie Club deliveries. If something comes in less-than-perfect condition, their customer service representatives are dedicated to doing whatever it takes to make it right.
Although the clubs offered by Cheryl's Cookies are higher-priced than the higher-rated clubs in our review, their variety of options (particularly for those who need gluten-free or diabetic-friendly treats) may make it worth the extra money for your extra-special gift recipients.
As one of the most recognized names in the cookie business, Mrs. Fields has a long-standing reputation for tasty treats. But, how do they stack up against the competition when it comes to their monthly Cookie Club?
One way that Mrs. Fields' Cookie Club is different from their competitors is that their monthly shipments include treats besides cookies - which is why it's called Treat of the Month instead of Cookie of the Month. Although the site doesn't list which treats and cookies to expect in a typical shipment, looking at the photos for each month show that you can expect two types of cookie plus jelly beans in March, for instance, or cookies and chocolate-covered pretzels in January. We would have liked to see more details: how many cookies are sent (either by weight or by number of individual cookies)? Even in the "Details" tab, we only found information for how to store Mrs. Fields' cookies for optimal freshness.
Pricing tends to be lower than other Cookie Club services: $44.99 for three shipments, $79.99 for six, and $149.99 for a full year subscription. But, without knowing exactly how much is included in each delivery, it's hard to tell how that measures up with other providers.
We do like that Mrs. Fields is committed to having happy customers: although their site doesn't come out and call it a "satisfaction guarantee" outright, in their Returns section they do promise that you and your gift recipients must be "absolutely thrilled" or they'll make it right. If that's the case, you'll need to contact Mrs. Fields within 10 days of delivery; be aware that they may ask you to return damaged items or to send in photos of the problem.
In general, cookies from Mrs. Fields are known for being delicious and of good quality, but some gift-givers might want more details as to what's included in their Treat of the Month Cookie Club - especially when the competition is very specific about what's included in theirs.
Month Club Store provides a cookie club membership that is too straightforward with few bells and whistles. The website lacks detailed information and a professional appearance that the competition has.
Month Club Store provides a cookie club that includes 1 dozen cookies delivered each month for 3 to 12 months based on your preference. Or you may choose a 2 dozen cookie membership for only $6 more per month. Our concern in comparing the other clubs is that the weight of the cookies was not listed and may drastically differ from those offering 1 to 2 pound averages.
The cookies are manufactured by Eileen's Cookies and include choices such as oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, peanut butter and more. The first delivery includes a personal message of your choice.
Unlike some of the higher ranked club memberships, you may not choose from a bimonthly, quarterly or less frequent membership to reduce the overall cost. Not only did Month Club Store lack in flexibility but they made no guarantee about the product nor sell us on their effort. Overall, Month Club Store provides a lack luster cookie club membership missing a professional website, membership flexibility and any good reason to select them over those higher ranked.
Dancing Deer provides a cute and friendly looking website but once we looked closer we were less impressed. Dancing Deer markets all natural baked goods including gourmet brownies, cakes, cookies and many gifts including those products.
When shopping at Dancing Deer we immediately noticed the stated cost of the monthly cookie club - that it seemed very affordable. However, we then noticed that shipping and handling were charged for each delivery and it was hard to determine that specific cost. We attempted to make a purchase but realized that they wouldn't charge us until the delivery was actually made and as such we didn't know the ultimate cost of the shipping and handling. It seemed a little underhanded and potentially misleading. We searched through the FAQ section and still couldn't find a stated cost.
Dancing Deer provides an eye pleasing website but a sketchy cookie club membership. we were concerned with the lack of necessary information needed to make a decision as well as the attempt to under handedly charge the customer for handling and shipping without clearly stating those costs. Dancing Deer doesn't allow the option to pay for the club membership up front and doesn't allow for much frequency or duration flexibility. We recommend you use a higher ranked cookie club provider that clearly states costs and doesn't leave you guessing.
Cookies are an all time favorite of most children and adults. From a simple chocolate chip to an elaborate macadamia nut, it's hard to find a cookie that doesn't beg to be devoured and shared. Even better - you can give fresh, delicious cookies that are delivered each month to a person who will truly appreciate your thoughtful gift.
The purchase of a Cookie Club membership means delicious cookies are delivered directly to the recipient's door each month. The cookie selection changes with each delivery, and the variety is usually chosen by the cookie club company. This ensures a unique and tasty gift will appear throughout the year, to be enjoyed time and time again.
But, not all cookie clubs are alike. It's important to understand the cookie club membership options and policies before you sign up. Some of the important features to watch for include:
