Credit Firm is a professional credit repair service that has helped over 60,000 consumers in all 50 states to improve their credit scores since their inception in 1997. As one of the leading credit repair companies in the nation, Credit Firm offers aggressive assistance with removing bankruptcies, judgments, tax liens, collections, late payments, repossessions, foreclosures and other harmful items from the credit reports of their clients. Their goal, of course, is to greatly improve the credit scores of their clients.
Credit Firm offers prospective clients free credit consultation up front so that they may determine the specific credit goals of each client. A debt consultant tailors each credit improvement plan to the goals of each client, whether that goal is buying a house, a car, or just improving the raw credit score. This personal focus was something we didn't see with all other credit repair services and is an important factor as every client's needs are different.
Easily found on the Credit Firm website is a list of actual results of real clients, as well as statistics showing the average client has 10 negative credit items removed from their credit reports after the first three months, and 30 items removed within the first year. Credit Firm also has an impressive list of industry credentials displayed on their website. They received an A- from the Better Business Bureau, and are also verified by SiteLock, Comodo SSL confirm, Authorize.net and Trustwave. Additionally, there are dozens of testimonials from satisfied customers telling their stories of improved credit after using Credit Firm's credit repair service. Customer satisfaction seems to be quite high and 9 out of 10 of their former customers said they would recommend Credit Firm to their friends and family.
The process at Credit Firm is simple. Clients can sign up online or call their toll free number to work with a credit repair specialist to get their account opened. After that, clients must forward a copy of their current credit report to their credit repair consultant at Credit Firm. Then Credit Firm begins working directly with each client's creditors to remove negative items and begin repairing their credit.
There are no hidden fees with Credit Firm. Included with the monthly fee are unlimited credit bureau challenges, inquiry challenges, debt validations, escalated information requests and cease and desist requests. Everything is included in the monthly service fee, which is lower than most of the other credit repair services we reviewed. There is also an excellent educational section with detailed explanations on what a credit report is, how it can affect personal finances, where copies of credit reports can be obtained, and tips on best practices for clients to keep their credit scores high. Credit Firm offers a very complete, reliable credit repair service for an excellent value, and we encourage anyone with credit repair needs to consider this company.
In business for more than 10 years and with a solid A rating as a Better Business Bureau accredited company since 2011, The Credit Pros offer help with removing bankruptcies, foreclosures, charge-offs, collections and more from individuals' credit reports. Their pricing structure is unique among credit repair services: users pay an initial fee of $179 for individuals or $279 for couples, and then an additional $50 per confirmed deletion per bureau and $75 for public records. This "Pay For Results Plan" allows clients to only pay for the services they truly need, rather than paying a monthly subscription for processes that may take several months to complete.
Customers can learn more about working with The Credit Pros by calling a toll-free number, completing an online form to schedule a one-on-one consultation with a certified FICO Professional, or by using a live chat function. It's worth noting that, at the time of this review, the Live Chat feature did not appear to be available; the chat page only showing the words "Live Chat" without a link or any sort of connection to that kind of functionality.
We also were slightly less than impressed to find in the fine print on the sign-up page that customers are required to maintain active credit monitoring. While clients can use TCP's services at $16.95 per month or another service of their choice, we would have liked that information featured more prominently as it does add to the customer's costs for credit repair services.
On the other hand, we do like The Credit Pros' 100% Money Back Guarantee, which offers a full refund for any failure to force the removal of any erroneous credit in the first 90 days. This guarantee could be made more robust by offering that guarantee for any reason.
Customer satisfaction with the services offered by TCP seems to be high, with clients reporting positive changes in their credit report in as little as 8 weeks. The Credit Pros does inform prospective clients to expect the process to take up to 12 months, depending on the complexity of their credit issues; however, given that TCP structures its services per removal, not per month, that could be very economical compared with other providers' monthly fees.
We would like to see specific numbers regarding TCP's successes: how many clients have been served, average times to resolve specific credit issues, and so forth. That information would easily move TCP into a four-star rating.

Your credit score and credit history are extremely important pieces of information. They are used to determine how much home you can afford; what your payments will be on your car; whether you qualify for credit cards; and even how much you'll pay for auto insurance.
Many times, however, people find their credit history contains negative information. This can range from late payments or too many credit inquiries, to collection agencies or inaccuracies. This negative information can restrict your purchase options and drive up your costs.
A good credit repair service will take on these negative items in your credit history and work to remove them or reduce their severity. They can work directly with the credit bureaus, your creditors, and collection agencies, and use a variety of tactics to get them to stop reporting negative information.
Unfortunately, there seems to be just as many fraudulent credit repair firms running scams as there are legitimate credit repair services. There are a number of features to consider when comparing credit repair services. Some of these include:
