E CREDIT ATTORNEY

E Credit Attorney offers one level of service and one level of satisfaction. Also similar to Veracity, their ultimate goal is financial freedom with a credit report free from inaccuracies and false information. They pride themselves on keeping the cost of credit repair low, and their promise to every client is a full refund if satisfactory services are not completed within 1 year.

A unique feature of their website is a page of information specifically on what a credit report is, what kind of information is reflected in a credit report, and how long negative items are listed, as well as other pertinent information. Although not extensive, it provides basic, necessary information for any consumer who's a little bamboozled by the scope of credit reports, repair, and financial impact.

E Credit Attorney operates with a refund evaluation policy effective after services of one year. Their evaluation is that if the number of deletions multiplied by $55 is not greater than the cost to you in monthly installments, you will be "fully reimbursed" the difference.

Enrollment with E Credit Attorney is available over the phone or online, and for those whose first language is not English, a page of information on credit repair and E Credit Attorney can be viewed en Espanol. Online sign up with E Credit Attorney is also available, but unfortunately there's no seal of secure sign in. Another puzzle piece missing from this otherwise savvy-sounding business is a BBB seal, or a page of information about the "real" attorneys servicing client accounts. Although E Credit Attorney has all the auspices of a trustworthy and reliable source of credit repair, similar services can be provided by higher-rated, more reliably reputable businesses.

CREDIT REPAIR CONSULTANTS

As a member of the BBB Online, Credit Repair Consultants (CRC) promises "no-compromise credit report repair" in the first 120 days or less, or you will be offered a partial refund. The enrollment application fee comes with the "Credit Repair Consultants' Guide to Your Credit Score" booklet, welcome and orientation communication, the order of your credit reports for you, and your first hour of consultation with a credit consultant. You can sign up online without being billed until your first services have been performed.

CRC provides a fairly comprehensive FAQ page online, and a very long but extremely informative page specifically about credit scores; what they mean and how they affect your ability to borrow and buy. This would be CRC's strongest selling point, as very few of the other credit repair services reviewed provide as detailed information on credit scoring. What CRC doesn't have going for them is straightforward, affordable service; no other credit repair business reviewed charges clients for obtaining credit reports, which you actually have to do for yourself, or by deletion as opposed to monthly.

Even if they're service is impeccable and their able to remove 4-5 negative items from your credit report a month, that's a monthly cost of $125 on top of a partially non-refundable fee of $189. (And they are the ones handling the invoicing of the deletions.) In addition, some of the language they use to describe both their services and fees is contradictory.

We feel you can obtain better service at a better price with one of the top-rated services in our review.

Credit Repair Services

To help you find the Best Credit Repair Services, TopConsumerReviews.com provides you with an in-depth comparison of E Credit Attorney and Credit Repair Consultants.

Your credit score and credit history are extremely important pieces of information. They are used to determine how much home you can afford; what your payments will be on your car; whether you qualify for credit cards; and even how much you'll pay for auto insurance.

Many times, however, people find their credit history contains negative information. This can range from late payments or too many credit inquiries, to collection agencies or inaccuracies. This negative information can restrict your purchase options and drive up your costs.

A good credit repair service will take on these negative items in your credit history and work to remove them or reduce their severity. They can work directly with the credit bureaus, your creditors, and collection agencies, and use a variety of tactics to get them to stop reporting negative information.

Unfortunately, there seems to be just as many fraudulent credit repair firms running scams as there are legitimate credit repair services. There are a number of features to consider when comparing credit repair services. Some of these include:

  • Effectiveness.  Do they have a successful track record of improving credit scores?
  • Cost.  How do their fees compare with other credit repair services?
  • Guarantee.  Do they back up their service with a refund policy?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best credit repair programs available today. We hope this information helps you reestablish your good credit right away!

Choosing a Credit Repair Company

If your credit score needs some professional help here's how to search for a quality credit repair company.

Start at the Computer
Searching online for a credit repair company provides many benefits in finding and choosing the right service provider for you and here's why:

  • If you do your credit repair research online you avoid the annoying sales pitch from a pushy salesman that is most concerned about their next commission check.
  • Perform your research when it's most convenient for you, in the quiet of your home and without children playing or co-workers nearby.
  • The internet allows you to quickly identify the services of several credit repair companies at once. If you are looking for credit dispute offerings plus advice on how to improve your credit score long term you can easily identify what companies offer this level of service.
  • Knowing what several companies charge for their repair services provides you the knowledge to make an educated decision. Feel confident that you are improving your financial outlook and doing so while saving money over other providers.
  • The internet will allow you to read and educate yourself on the Fair Credit Reporting Act that governs credit agencies, promotes accuracy in reporting and regulates how negative information is reported and disputed.

Look for These Characteristics
When searching for the best credit repair company look for the following characteristics in a quality company before making your selection:

  • Make sure you identify a credit repair company with a solid reputation before considering it a worthy contender. Look for red flags like promises to wipe your credit clean with little effort, a request for a large payment upfront to cover costs, or discussions of creating a new identifier to fool the credit agencies.
  • Make sure you understand what you're signing up for. Will you be obligated to use the service for a specified period of time? Do they identify rules on how many disputes they will file in a specific period? Make sure you read the fine print and understand their policies before moving forward.
  • When you're working closely with your credit repair service you'll appreciate the convenience of companies that offer an online account for you to monitor the status of their efforts. Companies that require a lot of hand holding, phone calls, and emails are not going to be efficient.
  • You'll want credit repair company that puts the customer first. Companies that fail to return calls timely or are unprofessional on the phone are going to wear thin over time. Make sure you identify if your credit repair company of choice prioritizes the customer.
