Join the best Dog Treat Club with Pet Treater Today! Where can you find the best Dog Treat Clubs? These membership plans are a fun, affordable way to lavish a little love on our favorite canine companions. While there are lots of options out there, there are two main products included in most Dog Treat subscription boxes: treats and toys! The best clubs make it easy for you to customize what you'll get in each delivery, based on your dog's size, preferences, and any allergies or other sensitivities. Cost:

Starts at $15/month

TopConsumerReviews.com Best-In-Class Blue Ribbon Award Let's be real: dogs can be expensive, but we still love to spoil them rotten! Fortunately, you can give your dog new, fun treats and toys every month without breaking the bank: just look at everything Pet Treater has to offer. This Dog Treat Club is one of the most affordable we've found, without compromising on quality: they actually guarantee that the value of the products you'll get in your monthly deliveries will be worth far more than your subscription price.

Every box comes with a variety of products. You could get toys, treats, accessories or even grooming supplies. You'll never have any edible treats made in China: most of the goodies in the Pet Treater boxes are sourced from the US or Canada.

Getting started with Pet Treater is really easy. First, choose from these plans:

  • Dog Pack: for $15/month, your pup will get 3-4 items (treats and toys). You can also select a Treats Only or Toys Only Pack for the same price.
  • Deluxe Dog Pack: for $25/month, you'll get 5-8 goodies like treats and toys, grooming items and more.

Next, provide information about your dog: size? Allergies? Name/Age/Weight/Breed? Finally, you'll select the pricing plan you prefer: monthly plans are $15 and can be set to renew monthly, every 3 months, every 6 months or every year. Alternately, if you just want to try Pet Treater before making a commitment, you can select the Try It Out Now box for $17 (just $2 more than the regular monthly price).

Your very first Pet Treater shipment will be a "collection of pet-approved favorites", so your unboxing won't look the same as other subscribers' for that initial delivery. From then onward, your deliveries will be the same as other members'. (Speaking of other members, you can take a look at Pet Treater's social media channels or even google "Pet Treater unboxings" to see what past packages have included!)

How does Pet Treater rank when it comes to reputation? The BBB gives the company a solid "A-" rating, with almost no complaints registered there. Looking at customer reviews in other places, Pet Treater really starts to impress. We found loads of recent comments describing boxes packed with high-quality toys and treats, and dogs who have even started to recognize the deliveries when they arrive!

We were also very happy to see how responsive the Pet Treater team is when customers leave comments about a not-so-satisfactory experience: no company is going to hit the mark every single month for every individual customer, so it's refreshing when a business like Pet Treater takes each comment seriously and addresses problems kindly and apologetically. That goes above and beyond the company's stated "no return/refund policy", which says that nothing is offered on the curated packages they send each month. It's always nice to see a company that prioritizes their customers' needs.

Pet Treater is also very committed to helping animal shelters throughout the US. As a partner of Pet Finder Foundation and a supportive partner to their local shelters, the company donates a toy, bag of treats or blanket to a shelter in need. They're also eager to partner with new shelters and happily take suggestions from customers to choose new ones to support.

There are a lot of options out there when it comes to Dog Treat Clubs. Pet Treater is the best of the best, with fun deliveries to match your dog's personality and tastes, at prices that will keep you coming back for more month after month. This is our highest-rated membership club for your favorite Fido or Fluffy.

Pooch Perks

Cost:

Starts at $21.15/month

Created by two dog-loving moms, Pooch Perks calls itself "the ultimate way to Pamper Your Pooch".

As you surf the Pooch Perks site, you may get a pop-up "spin the wheel" offer. If you enter your email address, you could spin and win discounts of up to 20% off your order - but be aware that you'll only have 10 minutes to claim your coupon.

There are three main Dog Treat Club memberships available with Pooch Perks:

  • Toys Only: 3-4 "super fun pooch toys" in each delivery, for a monthly price starting at $21.15 with a 12-month subscription. If you prefer to pay month-to-month, you'll pay anywhere from $23.50 (small dogs) to $24.99 (all other sizes).
  • Popular Pooch: 5-6 handpicked items per month, including toys, USA-made treats and chews. Plans start at $23.75 for a 12-month subscription, with higher monthly costs if you prefer a smaller plan. You can also designate whether you'd like soft toys (plushies, etc.) or more durable ones (Nylabones, Kong, and so on).
  • Pampered Pooch: taking your subscription to a whole new level, this package starts at $45 for a 12-month plan and gives your doggo 8-9 products. This plan includes an accessory like a bandana, along with toys, treats and chews.

Unlike many of the Dog Treat Clubs in our review, Pooch Perks doesn't include shipping with your monthly delivery cost, so expect a flat-rate charge of $2 for each package.

Reviews of the Pooch Perks Dog Treat Club are very mixed. While we found some reviews from happy subscribers, most of those were months (if not years) old. On the other hand, comments left more recently described problems with low-quality toys, shipping delays, and very poor communication with the customer service team. One customer trying to cancel a membership was never able to reach someone at Pooch Perk's toll-free number, and they never received a response to the voicemails they left or the emails they sent. Even customers who specifically signed up for a single month's delivery found that their plan was automatically renewed - and couldn't reach anyone to cancel it.

There's also no refund policy or satisfaction guarantee on the Pooch Perk site. Yes, they claim that you can cancel your subscription with no hassles, but we already saw that hasn't been the case for more than a few customers. Their FAQ also states very clearly that they will not remind customers of their renewal date, so if you forget to cancel and the plan renews, there's no way to stop it. In fact, they recommend that you cancel 7 days in advance of your renewal date, just to be safe. That doesn't exactly scream "we care about our customers", does it?

To top it off, we weren't able to find a listing for Pooch Perks with the Better Business Bureau. A strong BBB rating goes a long way to balance negative comments and ratings in other places, but there was no such luck with this retailer.

Compared with other Dog Treat Clubs on the market today, Pooch Perks doesn't exactly get our tails wagging. We think you'll have a better experience with one of the higher-ranked subscription plans in our review.

Dog Treat Clubs also make a fantastic gift for those people on your gift-giving list who seem to already have everything they could want for themselves. You won't win them over with a boring gift card or another fruit basket, but watch their eyes light up when they get another package in the mail full of novel chews and tug toys for Rover. Most of these membership subscriptions can be easily gifted for the length of time you prefer, from a one-off shipment to monthly deliveries.

When you start to compare the various Dog Treat Clubs out there today, it's easy to get overwhelmed by all of the options. To find the subscription service that's the right fit for your pet or for your gift recipient's furry friend, here are several criteria to help you "sniff out" the perfect one:

  • Contents. What do you get with each delivery? How many toys and treats are in the typical box? Do they give you a good value for your money, or are they items you could easily find at a dollar store or local big-box retailer?
  • Cost. What will you spend for your Dog Treat Club? Is there a discount if you pay in advance or if you buy a long-term subscription? Is shipping included in the monthly fee?
  • Flexibility. Do you have a range of options, both for payment and delivery schedules? Can you skip a month as needed? What if you want to change the size of the products partway through your subscription term (e.g. to get a few deliveries for each dog in your home)?
  • Reputation. What do other customers say about their experience with the Dog Treat Club? Does the company do a good job of keeping their customers happy, especially with a strong satisfaction guarantee or return policy? Has the business been rated by the BBB?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best Dog Treat Clubs available today. We hope this information helps you find the right subscription box to delight all the puppies, doggies, and fur babies in your life for months to come!
