What's the best Eczema Relief product? Scientists are still unsure what causes this skin condition. Also known as atopic dermatitis, some theories suggest that an individual starts with a genetic predisposition to develop the disorder, which can then be triggered by stress or other factors. In fact, more than 35 million Americans suffer from eczema. Eczema symptoms include itchiness, swelling, redness and dryness.

In severe cases the skin can become crusty, scaly and cracked - even leading to bleeding. Obviously, these symptoms can be painful as well as embarrassing. From office workers who don't want to be embarrassed at work, to brides who want clear skin in their wedding photos, to people who want to go to the beach without calling attention to their skin condition, individuals suffering with eczema are often desperate for a solution.

Skintifique

SKINTIFIQUE Visit Site

Cost:

$37.99 for 1.35 fl.oz Hydrating Gel + 6.76 fl.oz Moisturizing Lotion

Skintifique is the creation of two scientists: Dr. Jacques Delort, a former medical researcher, and Dr. Jeffrey Karp, a professor of medicine at MIT and Harvard Medical School. The two built a team with the goal of bringing innovation to the dermatology field through evidence-based skincare solutions

Although Skintifique has only been in business for six years, they've already established an "A+" reputation with the Better Business Bureau: zero registered complaints.

The Skintifique eczema product consists of two products that can be purchased together or separately:

  • Moisturizing Lotion HP: designed to moisturize and protect skin from environmental stressors like metals and dryness.
  • Hydrating Gel Plus HS: works as an intense moisturizer to soothe and repair eczema-irritated skin

The company prides itself on selling products with a limited number of ingredients, so that there's a smaller chance of any skin reaction. In the Eczema pack items, you won't find fragrances, sulfates, gluten, mineral oil, metals, paraben, or lanolin. Their products are also eco-friendly and vegan.

So, what is in the Skintifique Gel and Lotion? Just 8 and 13 ingredients, respectively - such as glycerin, castor seed oil, and a number of other products you won't likely know by name (e.g. Bisabolol, Chlorphenesin, Glyceryl stearate).

Compared with other companies that sell eczema products, Skintifique comes up very short in terms of their customer satisfaction / return policy. First, you won't find that information readily displayed: you'll have to dig for it in the terms and conditions, where some of the page is actually written in French! Even when you find it, it's not clearly spelled out. Will you get your money back if the Skintifique regimen doesn't help your symptoms? Maybe, maybe not. Will you have to ship the return to France if you are deemed eligible for one? Possibly.

And if you want to try and contact their customer service? You guessed it: you'll have to call a phone number...in France. At least, that's what you'll find in the terms and conditions: but then, on the general Contact Us Page, voilà: a toll-free number in the States with a US address.

That would be good information to make clear, because customer reviews are pretty mixed. Some people said that the Gel and Lotion are the perfect 1-2 punch to finally relieve their eczema, while others say that not only did the Skintifique regimen not help their symptoms, it actually made them worse!

While we love Skintifique's scientific-yet-minimalist approach to fighting eczema and their positive track record with the BBB, their site and customer policies could do more to earn the average consumer's business and trust.

Biogetica

Cost:

From $39 to $99, depending on the selected product

From the first moment you visit the Biogetica website, you'll know you're not getting a traditional "apply this cream and wait a day" approach to fighting Eczema. Biogetica combines a wide range of traditions - Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Siddha Medicine, Naturopathy, Bio-Energetics, Chinese medicine, Nutrition, and more - to bring nature-based wellness to patients with a variety of conditions. It's also the only Eczema product company that offers a complimentary consultation with a doctor, to help you determine what the best course is for your individual needs.

When it comes to Eczema, Biogetica uses a natural approach that targets the root causes of the condition, though herbal extracts, advanced nutraceuticals, and bio-energetic resonance homeopathies. Not sure what all of those are? That's okay - we weren't either, when we started looking at the Biogetica site. What we did understand clearly is that many of the ingredients that form part of the Eczema regimen have been documented as effective - and you can find links to those on the Biogetica product page for Eczema.

There are several product kits designed to address Eczema:

  • Biogetica Freedom Kit, with Skin-H Dry Eczemease Formula: Takzema Tablets and Ointment, an ayurvedic herbal remedy that helps regulate the immune system while supporting the skin's function and structure; HoloRam Detoxym, capsules that helps the body detox and improves bioregulation; and Sang-Pure tablets, an herbal remedy that balances the immune system and detoxifies the blood. This kit sells for $99, plus shipping costs of $5 to $11, depending on the delivery speed.
  • Biogetica Freedom Kit, with Skin-F Wet Formula: Unfortunately Biogetica doesn't explain the difference between this and the Skin-H Dry Eczemease Formula. The list of included kit components is the same.
  • Biogetica Essentials Kit with C6 Dry Eczemease Formula: this kit includes two liquid components that help with itchy skin and balancing all of the skin's functions. See the site for an exhaustive ingredient list. This kit sells for $75, but there's no description of how it's applied or how long you should expect it to last. Includes a bottle of T27 Skin Liquescence, which can also be purchased separately for $39. This component helps establish normal, healthy skin function.
  • Biogetica Essentials Kit with C136 Support-W: This is designed for skin that may have drainage issues or a weeping skin condition. Includes a bottle of T27 Skin Liquescence, which can also be purchased separately for $39. This component helps establish normal, healthy skin function.

Be aware that your purchase may ship from locations around the world, including India. We found several customers who said that they had to wait quite a while before receiving their shipments.

It's challenging to determine if Biogetica offers a well-established product for Eczema. The business doesn't have a rating with the BBB, and the listed company address in the US is a private residence in Beverly Hills. There are numerous testimonials on the website, but only a handful were related to their eczema product line. On the other hand, the company has almost 100,000 "likes" on their Facebook page, giving the impression that their customers are generally happy with the results they get - which could be true for their eczema line as well.

Another plus is Biogetica's satisfaction guarantee: 100% money back within 90 days of your purchase.

Finally, what other company offers to give you their products for free or at a reduced cost if you can't afford it? According to Biogetica, they put people before profits: which means that if you send them more information on your health, financial condition, and address, their doctors will review your case and send you their recommended option for whatever donation you can afford.

If you've tried traditional approaches to dealing with Eczema and nothing has worked, Biogetica might be a good choice for trying a more natural/homeopathic strategy - if you have the patience to sift through some of their more unconventional practices.

Continued from above

Because the cause of eczema is still unknown, most products focus on calming irritated skin and keeping it hydrated. Some also try to block any environmental irritants or triggers from passing through the skin and causing further issues. These products typically come in lotion or cream form, though a few make use of essential oils or tablets to take another approach.

When looking at the various eczema products currently on the market, how can you decide which one is right for you? Here are several aspects to consider:

  • Cost. What will you spend to get a month's supply of the lotion or other product? Does the retailer offer free shipping or any other discounts?
  • Effectiveness. Does it work? How long will you need to use the product before your eczema symptoms improve? How long will those results last?
  • Reputation. What do other people say about the product? Does the business have a good overall track record?
  • Return Policy. If the eczema product doesn't work for you, can you get your money back? How long do you have to try the product before deciding if it is helping you?
