Exercise Bikes in Indiana

Indiana MapIndiana residents have more available options than ever before when it comes to choosing the right exercise bike. With the increase in technology, exercise bikes are available with a wide array of features and functions. Functions range from the most basic manually-set resistance levels all the way up to heart-rate driven workouts determined by an electronic pulse monitor. A cyclist can get as basic or as hi-tech as they are comfortable with on their exercise bike.

Many conservatively-priced bikes are in the $200 range, and offer basic features like quiet handling, manual workout resistance, and an easily adjustable seat. Moderately-priced bikes are often more stable and include functions like magnetic resistance and heart-rate control. Higher priced models come with more advanced features such as electronic equipment that measures distance ridden, average speed, and calories burned. Top-of-the-line models include all of the previously mentioned electronic features in addition to push-button resistance control, a hi-tech LED display console, longer warranty, and a greater selection of built-in workout programs. These exercise bikes can cost as much as $3,300, but for the serious rider, may be well worth the cost.

Several factors should be taken into consideration before purchasing an exercise bike. First and foremost is cost. The rider needs to determine which features are important and will promote increased use of the bike, then research all available brands that provide those options to determine which model will provide the most value for the price. Warranty should also be considered. Experts recommend a warranty that covers parts, frame, and labor for at least one year. When the model has been selected and the warranty passes review, check out the seller's return policy. Does the company offer a full refund if the buyer is not satisfied? If not, it may be wise to shop elsewhere. One of the advantages to the online marketplace is the broad range of sellers offering different services.

For anyone in Indiana who is serious about health, fitness, and well-being, exercise bikes offer a multitude of options.
