Obviously, you want to find quality, affordable eyeglasses that look great on you! A lot of eyeglass companies have really simplified the process of online ordering and explain the steps to order in detail on their websites. Some companies even have the virtual mirror where you can virtually try on the glasses to see what they will look like on you prior to ordering.

Best Buy Eyeglasses

BEST BUY EYEGLASSES Visit Site

Best Buy Eyeglasses was founded in 2004. They offer one of the biggest selections of frames of the companies that we reviewed. They offer free shipping and returns on all orders. You can contact them 24/7 anytime support so you can shop 24/7 and if you have a question there is someone available to help you with your needs.

The website is easy to navigate and allows you to search by a variety of options, including

  • Gender
  • Brand
  • Department
  • Material
  • Shape
  • Color
  • Price
  • Lens Type
  • Frame Size

Best Buy Eyeglasses does have brand offer limits for certain manufacturers meaning that you can only purchase two of certain brands per month. If you need a pair of eyeglasses this may be the place to get them their turnaround time is extremely quick. Within 2-5 days of placing your order it will be processed and shipped.

Best Buy Eyeglasses offers free shipping and free returns, however they do charge a 10% fee on returns if you request a refund. If you do decide to cancel your order for any reason be prepared to pay a 10% cancellation fee. We did find several complaints about the company in regard to customer service and quality of their products. Customers have received the wrong products and had a difficult time getting their money refunded or their exchange processed.

Even though the company offers one of the largest selections of eyeglasses and an attractive website, we cannot ignore the customer complaints that we found. Hopefully they can address these concerns and see their rating rise in the future.

39 Dollar Glasses

39 DOLLAR GLASSES Visit Site

39 Dollar Glasses has been in business since 2001. One of the nice things about 39 Glasses is that all of the orders are made in their New York laboratory. This means their turnaround time is significantly less than those companies that we reviewed that were based outside of the U.S.

The 39 Dollar Glasses website is easy to navigate and gives you a number of options to search with, including:

  • Gender
  • Frame material
  • Frame shape
  • Frame color
  • Total frame width
  • Temple length
  • Lens type

The price that they advertise for their frames includes thin and lightweight lenses featuring 100% UV protection and anti- scratch coating. Most orders ship within 2-7 business days. Shipping is $4.95 on orders less than $99. Orders $99 and greater have free shipping.

Another feature we liked is their Rewards Program. When you purchase from 39 Dollar Glasses you are automatically enrolled in their Eye Bucks Rewards Program. 4% of your eyeglass purchases will be deposited into your customer account that you can use for money off of your next purchase.

They also have a convenient return policy. If you are unhappy for any reason you may return your eyeglasses for a one-time exchange at no cost or a full store credit for up to 90 days after delivery. Return shipping is free. If you have a shipping charge on your initial order it is non- refundable.

Customer service at 39 Dollar Glasses is only available M-F between 9-5, which isn't as good as some of the other companies we've reviewed that offer 24/7 phone access. However they do a have a virtual customer service agent available 24/7. Also, at the time of this review the FAQ section on the company website was blank. With their limited customer service hours and not being able to go to the FAQ page and get information during the hours that customer service isn't available, their overall customer service not as attractive as the other companies that we reviewed.

We didn't find many customer complaints about 39 Dollar Glasses. Most customers said they felt as thought they have a reasonably priced product and that they respond to customer service and warranty issues in a timey manner.

While 39 Dollar Glasses offers some nice features, including a rewards program, their customer service issues bring their rating down in our review.

Continued from above

As you consider the various companies that offer eyeglasses, keep in mind these basic criteria:

  • Selection: How may frames does the company offer? Do they have an easy to navigate website that allows you to easily search for the frame style and lens type that you are looking for?
  • Cost: Which eyeglasses are the best quality for the price? The overall cost of your eyeglasses also includes any shipping or return charges the company may charge as well. When looking at the cost of the eyeglasses you will also want to consider if they offer a warranty on their products.
  • Customer Service: Does the company have a 24/7 customer service number that you can call? Are their hours going to be conducive to your schedule if you need to contact them? Do they have a virtual customer service representative available 24/7? Does the company have a history of satisfied customers? All things to consider when you are evaluating the customer service of the company that you are choosing to do business with.
