Where can you find the best Futons? Futons are a very common piece of furniture in numerous households. They have become so popular because of their functionality, comfort, price and size. If you are looking for a couch/bed combo for any room, a futon could be for you. They are perfect for apartments, lofts, kid's rooms, small spaces, living rooms - the options are endless.

A futon is generally described as a soft mattress on a configurable frame that can be folded in half for a couch or laid out flat for a bed. There are three main parts to a futon. The frame, the mattress and the mattress cover. Futon frames are most commonly made from metal or wood or a combo of both. Futon mattresses are generally made of mostly cotton. Sometimes a layer of foam is added to sustain the form of the mattress.

Wayfair is a 3rd party retail company that has worked out deals with thousands of furniture companies across the country. They offer incredible savings on all types of furniture like futons. Wayfair has almost 1,000 futons available on their website. With their selection and ease of searching, you are sure to find the perfect futon for any room size.

Wayfair offers several different ways to find the perfect futon. Their standard search features include price, type, size, color and life stage. You can start with just these or get even more detailed and see all filters which include so many more options. This is a full list of how you can shop for the perfect futon:

  • Price
  • Type (convertible sofas, loveseat, futon/mattress, futon chairs)
  • Size (twin, full, queen)
  • Color
  • Life stage (adult, teen, kids)
  • Style (modern, rustic, glam, coastal, etc)
  • Customer Rating
  • Frame Color
  • Frame Material (wood, metal)
  • Special Offers (sale, new arrival, closeout)
  • Availability
  • Brand
  • Overall Width
  • Commercial Use
  • Free Fabric Samples

Once you've found the perfect combination of search features you can then sort all futons by price (low to high or high to low), customer rating and most recommended futons. When you have selected your product, check out the pictures, description, dimensions, specifications and reviews. All orders over $49 are free, which would be all futons. If you aren't satisfied with your futon you have 30 days to return for a refund. If you have questions or need help, there is a phone number and a chat now for customer support. There is even an option to meet with a design service team for a fee.

Wayfair does have an A+ Better Business Bureau rating, which is very impressive. Unfortunately, Wayfair has received some negative reviews over the last several years. People have commented that their customer support was rude and that they charge restocking fees during refunds.

At the end of the day, we believe Wayfair is a great place to purchase a futon. Their website is easy to navigate, options are endless and pricing is fantastic. Wayfair offers order tracking, set delivery dates and often advertises discount codes. If you are looking for a futon, you need to make sure to look at Wayfair.

Starting from $100

Home Depot has been a key player in the home improvement industry since 1979. They opened their first warehouse store in Atlanta and slowly Home Depots' began popping up all over North America. Home Depot sells appliances, carpet, lumber, lighting, plumbing, tools and so much more. Futons are also on their list of items sold by Home Depot. Shoppers will find roughly 130 different futon products when looking online.

When looking for the perfect futon, Home Depot offers an easy way to find and purchase your ideal futon. You can sort all futon selections by top sellers, most popular, price and top rated. If you would like to narrow down your futon search even further, Home Depot offers numerous filters, they include:

  • Price
  • Bed Size (full, queen, twin)
  • Futon Type (chair, frame, mattress, set)
  • Style (classic, coastal, glam, modern, etc)
  • Frame Material (wood, metal)
  • Mattress Thickness
  • New Arrival
  • Assembly Required
  • Color
  • Brand
  • Review Rating

After reviewing your futon results you can select your favorites and compare multiple products. Once you have selected a product you are able to view multiple photos, check out the product description and specifications, look at customer questions and answers and read all futon reviews. You can also check to see what your shipping options are - some products ship free, some have a shipping fee and most products are available for free store pickup.

Home Depot's futons range from $100-$1,040. Their top sellers average about $200, which we think is very fair. They have several products with customer reviews, but futons reviews are very limited. We are guessing that futons probably don't make up a very large portion of their overall sales.

Home Depot provides customer support online via a 1-800 number and a question/answer section on each product page. Shoppers will find a generous 90 day return policy with receipt. You may return all products to a local Home Depot or get online and request a UPS shipping label. If you own a Home Depot credit card you have generous 1 year to make a return and get a refund.

Home Depot is a huge home improvement store with thousands of products available. With so many products available it's hard to be the best at everything. There are a lot of complaints online about their appliances and contract work. We think their website is nice and easy to use but would love to see more of a futon selection. For those with a Home Depot credit card, the return policy can't be beat.

The mattress cover can be made out of several types of materials, such as microfiber, cotton, linen, velvet - the possibilities are almost endless. Futon mattresses are very similar to traditional mattresses but as an added bonus you can turn the mattress into a couch. Instead of purchasing a bed and a couch, a futon provides both of these pieces of furniture in one for an affordable price. Futon covers are interchangeable so you can update the look of your futon as often as you like.

Futons can be purchased in several different sizes, colors, materials. The futon mattress is also available in several different comfort levels - firm, plush, medium.

When looking for a futon there are several factors you should consider:

  • Selection. Does the company offer a wide variety of futons and accessories to choose from?
  • Return Policy. What is the companies return policy if you are not satisfied with your futon purchase?
  • Website ease of use. Is the company website easy to navigate? Are you finding the information and support you are looking for?

TopConsumerReviews.com has reviewed and ranked the best futon stores available today. We hope these reviews help you find the right futon for you!
