Where can you get the best health insurance? Healthcare costs are on the rise and constantly changing. There are few things in life as important as your health, and when professional care is needed, you want to ensure you're getting the best treatment that won't break the bank. There are also few things as confusing as the ins and outs of insurance and medical treatment costs. Being informed about the differences in healthcare coverage options will help you avoid surprise bills after seeing a provider.

It could take a frustrating amount of time to call around to different insurance companies to compare rates and coverage. Unfortunately, some providers are very hard to reach by phone and make you jump through hoops to have your questions answered. Transparency and accessibility from your health insurance company is important so you know what you are paying for. Thankfully there are many online sources to help you compare these companies quickly.

2 Insure 4 Less has such a basic website that it is hard to feel like you're getting the information you need. You start by providing your zip code and choosing one of the following insurance categories: auto, commercial, health, home, life, business, renters, disability, long term care, and annuities. We primarily focused on health insurance quotes for the purpose of this review, but were disappointed at the lack of instant information available.

Once you select your insurance category, a series of questions pop up such as your gender, date of birth, household income, employment information, full name, full address, phone number, and email address. We didn't like that you have to disclose your full name, address, phone number and email address in order to submit for quotes because this typically means you will get spam mail to boost their sales. In fine print underneath the questionnaire, 2 Insure 4 Less discloses that by submitting your information, you are authorizing up to eight insurance companies and their partners or agents to contact you. This may be for marketing purposes or to obtain further information from you for email lists.

If you decide to continue on and submit your questionnaire, the information is sent to local insurance agents who will contact you within 48 hours. They will run free quotes for you that can be sent via telephone or email. While waiting to receive your quotes, the only other semi-helpful page you can view on their website is the FAQ page that tells you more about 2 Insure 4 Less. There are no additional resource pages to explain insurance terms or answer questions that customers may have throughout the health insurance seeking process.

Overall, we found 2 Insure 4 Less requires a lot on the part of the consumer, but does not provide fast, useful information in return. Their website lacks a great deal of information that would prove valuable for someone trying to understand the health insurance world. We suggest using one of our higher-rated services to compare instant health insurance quotes instead.

Understanding the differences between health insurance coverage options is also useful for when your needs change. If you have a change in employment, location, or overall physical health, you may end up needing a different kind of insurance. Being able to compare quotes easily online will save you a lot of work and give you peace of mind about making this big change.

Before diving into the world of health insurance selection services, we suggest you take the following things into consideration:

  • Convenience. Do you have to make a phone call to an agent every time you have a question? Ideally you are able to obtain insurance quotes online and skip the hassle of making phone calls all day.
  • Accessibility. When you need to speak to an agent, you want to get a human on the phone without having to talk to a series of robots first. If you have an urgent question, it will also be important for you to be able to speak to someone without waiting on hold forever.
  • Transparency. Do you know exactly what providers are covered through each health insurance company? Do you know how much they will pay vs. how much you will pay? What happens after you meet your deductible? Make sure you are able to find out all the little details about a health insurance company so that you aren't feeling lost or overwhelmed about your treatment options.
