Options Available for HGH

While it's clear that Human Growth Hormone (HGH) offers us many benefits, the options available for obtaining it can be a bit confusing. There are basically four options for acquiring HGH involving both the medical and alternative medical communities and these fit into two categories: injections or supplements. Each option comes with its own set of pros and cons.

Most studies that prove the benefits of HGH are based on injectable HGH. This type of HGH is intended for those individuals suffering from an HGH deficiency or related condition. It's important to note that HGH used for anti-aging purposes alone is illegal in the United States. Injected HGH can only be prescribed by a medical doctor and costs anywhere from $800 to $2000 a month. If you don't mind needles (up to twelve pokes a week) and have a small fortune to spare, injected HGH is the best method because it's the most potent and the hormone travels rapidly through the bloodstream. Injected HGH is the only clinically proven way to insert growth hormone into the body. More advantages: This HGH form is approved by the FDA and regulated by a doctor-two additional safety factors that can provide further peace of mind. Conversely, because injections are artificial hormone replacement therapy, some serious side effects can occur and close monitoring is suggested.

Another option for obtaining HGH is through HGH releasers, precursors or secretagogues, many of which have been around for a long time as amino acid supplements. This type of HGH is in pill or powder form and requires no prescription. Basically, all nonprescription HGH supplements that are digested (capsules, tablets, pills and powders) are known as releasers. These dietary supplements are regulated by the FDA's food laws, contain no form of HGH, are much less expensive than injections, and are absorbed in the digestive tract. Releasers are designed to stimulate the pituitary gland to naturally produce HGH.

Non-prescription sprays are a third option and these contain homeopathic HGH. Sprays are very popular, much cheaper than injections, and are also considered safe. The sprays are considered releasers because they aid the pituitary gland to produce HGH naturally. Not all sprays contain homeopathic HGH, some only contain homeopathic amino acids and vitamins/herbs. A proper homeopathic HGH is regulated by the FDA and should have an FDA National Drug Code (NDC) number.

And finally, homeopathic HGH enhancers with liver extract is the last option available. Because there may be a health risk involved in raising HGH levels without also keeping the liver healthy, some products add a liver extract. When HGH levels rise, blood glucose levels also rise. Manufacturers claim that liver extract stabilizes and normalizes these levels, as well as provides detoxification of the liver and regeneration of liver tissue if needed.

Whichever type of HGH you choose, be sure to research your options and the products available on the market. Reading online product reviews of the various HGH supplements is a good place to start. Weigh the pros and cons for each option before deciding which one would work best for you.
