Home Warranty in Connecticut

Connecticut MapHomeowners in Connecticut would be wise to consider home warranties as a way to protect their assets. With a good home warranty, a person can save thousands of dollars in repair and replacement costs. Basic home warranties cover such things as plumbing systems, garbage disposal, sump pump, water heater, and whirlpool tub. Any malfunction or replacement is taken care of by the company providing the policy. There are even home warranty plans that cover pools, spas, septic systems, and central vacuum systems. Whatever the features and functions in the home, coverage is available to reduce the costs of replacement and repair.

Before purchasing a home warranty, three things should be considered. First, what is covered? Read the plan, and compare plans with several other reputable companies. Each company will provide different features in their plan, so make sure the coverage you choose adequately protects your home. Second, double check for limits. Many home warranty businesses will place limits on the amount they will pay to replace or repair your appliances or home systems. Being aware of these will help you avoid misunderstandings with the company about your warranty. And finally, make sure that your most costly assets will be covered under the plan selected. Things like the pool, the garage door opener, and the septic system may require purchasing an enhanced plan for adequate protection.

First-time homebuyers especially can benefit from home warranties. Often there is stress and anxiety about the financial commitment they are entering into. Having the benefit of a home warranty can provide peace of mind that if the air conditioner condenser goes out, they won't have to pay $3,000 to get it fixed, since it is covered. In addition, anyone selling their home can purchase a home warranty, as that added bonus often helps the house to sell faster.

Home warranties are a wise investment for anyone who is interested in keeping the costs of maintenance and repairs at a minimum for their home, and freeing up their money for other things.
