One of the most impressive features on Monster's job search site is the "Career Resources" page. Here you can read a wealth of articles on career advice ranging from how to choose between jobs to weird questions that you might be asked in an interview. Career advice is even searchable if you have a specific topic you want to learn more about. A resume writing service is also offered at a cost of $129 - $349 depending on the selected package. There is a 100% guarantee on these resumes and Monster will rewrite them for free if the customer isn't pleased with the finished product.

Job seekers can search both by company and by job. A filtering option can narrow down the radius, job status, date posted, company and nearby cities to hone in on a more specific role. You can save job listings you like to your account and get alerted if something new is posted later that you might be interested in. However, some users have complained that they receive alerts about jobs they are unqualified for. Some have also said that Monster is not able to provide job listings based on their search criteria and when they do apply for positions, they receive an overall low response rate from employers.

Others are more specific and give a comprehensive company background. All listings provide how many years of experience are needed to apply for the role. Some allow less than 5 years of experience, while others expect up to 15 years.
